any chance you could measure the size of catch can?
I no longer have this catch can so I cant get that info for you sorry.
Hey man, so I know you’re saying yellow to the harness side. But there’s like 5 wires in the harness side. Does the yellow wire get soldered to all the harness side wires? Or just one of them? 11:18
so, there are 2 different plugs, the plug that has only 1 wire going to it that is the one you need to hook up the relay to.
Do u have a diagram as far as wires go ?
I want order one!
You want one of my rewire kits
Yes where can I order it
@@1Egmonster do you have PayPal? If so send me your PayPal email and I will send you a invoice
I installed a 525 walbro but using the factory wire will it start
Yeah, of course it will as long as everything is installed correctly
Shoulda swapped the lines at the can, and the lengths woulda been just a tiny bit better I think. What were the fittings at the valve cover? 1/2” npt 10an ?
Is the headers really Close To the alternator
Not super close fits just fine
The yellow wire goes here and the blue wire goes here. Great explanation.
I love your videos🎉❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
some recommend to change whole pump wiring + add relay to it, is it necessary?
Evo fuel pump utilize dual voltage power, if using this hardwire setup wont this cause fuel overrun that will cause the engine to run rich on low fuel demand.
No, that factory wiring setup for the fuel pump will lose voltage under full boost having this kit will continue to keep 14v under boost and normal driving. Losing voltage at the fuel pump can cause lean conditions and nobody wants that.
brother... why you chance the stm catch can?.... im trying to used the stm catch can
STM catch can is a great can but mine was only -6 an so I went with -10 and changed the setup a little bit
Awesome... make more eclipse 4g63t diy stuff👍👌
Your yellow and blue wires going into factory wires. Is that OK? The factory wires are a different gauge size. Going from big wire to smaller wire seems kinda scary.
I ask myself the same question… idk if you get more information on this..
Any concerns on the amps the factory harness power cable can handle?
Curious to know also. The blade fuse on my evo 8 melted which leads me to believe the wire size is too small.
Question, So the purpose of the hardwire kit is for the pump to get the full 12V and not get voltage drop and also to stop the pump from continuously running? . Then that yellow wire that runs from the relay, you solder on to the other end of that red cable that is in that top connector of the fuel pump cradle correct?. If so that end would be powering the pump via factory harness which is spliced into the fuel pump main power plug which is the other end of that red cable you cut from that connector on the passenger side.
the red power wire is connected to the positive terminal on the battery. Then from the relay to the harness of the car to get that power from the battery. The fuse is there so if something were to happen the fuse would pop 1st and that's a easy fix. Let me know if you have any other questions
Hey brother. I’m having issues with my Evo. That being, it’s experiencing some fuel cut. The FPR is set to 3bar (43.5 psi). I believe it’s because of my current rewire kit, Deatschwerks universal rewire kit. I drilled out the siphon tube and noticed I can adjust my FPR a lot better, but yet still getting fuel cut. I have a Walbro 450 and on E. I am thinking about buying your rewire kit because I’ve heard mixed things about my current DW kit. What do you think?
of course I’m going to say buy my kit lol. But before all that what boost are you running and size injectors. Also what ecu?
@@cornfedevo87 I got ID 2000cc/AEM High flow fuel rail/Fuel Lab FPR/450 Walbro/Tomei Arms 20g @28psi. Tuned my Ronnie at RS in MN.
@@MrSourPickels and when your doing a log you need to go back and check to see when it’s happening and what boost and what RPM. What ECU you on?
@@cornfedevo87 OEM 9 ecu. Don’t have Evoscan (yet).
@@MrSourPickels ok yeah I would get a laptop and run a log and see. What boost pressure and rpm does it happen?
Hey do you leave the driveshaft connected the whole time to the transmission case ?
There are 2 different ways to drop the trans and t-case. The way I was doing it is leaving the subframe in place and pushing the t-case to the side. Doing it this way you leave the drive shaft in the t-case and just push it to the passenger side of the car. And you can slowly drop the trans.
Learning and got a question, what’s the reason for a 50amp relay and 25amp fuse? Would I run into issue with a 30amp relay and 30amp fuse?
You can run a 30amp fuse but the 50 amp relay is what is needed to run this setup correctly.
M22 x 1.5 ?
NPT 1/2-14
So , i find the power wire on the fuel pump harness and then splice blue wire to plug side and yellow to harness side ?
yes, just make sure you have enough wire on the plug side so you can do a easy install.

Did the issue end up being your AEM Infinity from your last video? For the no start?
So with the AEM infinity if there is low battery while trying to start the ecu won’t fire or send fuel.
Put a Walboro 255 on my evo 8, is this hardwire going to require a aftermarket fpr
No this hard wire is just to make sure you have a 12+ volts at all times. I have a extra FPR at my shop
Gotta Love those automated parts line & orders 🔧🏁🔧

So what exact aem ecu did you get? Did you have to buy any other wiring harness for it? Great video man.
Also, could the ring gap effect the compression on a cold motor?
I have the AEM infinity 506. And yes if the ring gap is on the bigger side it will affect compression til the motor warms up. Once the pistons and the rings get warm they expand and you will get a different reading.
Hey bro. Quick question… I’m having a hard time finding the three bolts at the top. I see your video and I notice some things different in my transfer case. By any chance was this 2005 Evo a non ACD version? Mine is a 2005 ACD and I think that would be the only difference
This was a ACD car but we deleted the ACD. Over all all the bolt and what not all are the same! Should be 2 long and 1 short if I remember correctly
Which wire is the one to tap into on the harness side? You keep saying harness but not a specific wire
yellow wire goes to the harness side and the blue wire goes to the pump.
He legit said the top wire on harness. You clip the wire on top, tap the blue on into the clip, then the yellow one to the harness.
Yooo I’ve been having all these symptoms practically replaced everything and gave up and just found this! Thank god there’s hope lol
Thank you for this well, detailed explanation but I'm still lost AF! I drive an 07 Nissan Sentra and I need help! Wish u were near NC. 🤦🏾♂️

Haha, nice this yellow spec is no longer on the road it was crashed but the motor and other parts are still good we are going to be doing a full swap on another spec we ended up getting.
Makinon
Came here from the sexy yellow 2Jr Spec-V vid, do more spec v vids
If I had another spec v to do a vid on I would but I no longer have a spec
Is there a specific connector you run on the air hose to get constant air to push the valves up and what psi is the compressor
You can use a compression tester hose with a adapter to a air hose or like I did just use the air hose it self. And I use about 50/60 psi to keep the valves shut.
I had a 2006 Spec-V, same color, I loved that car. Sadly the cat that comes off the front clogged and damaged the engine. It was burning 2QTs of oil a day til I traded it in, then 5 hours after trade in the engine died. I did end up getting a 2017 Sentra NISMO, which is great, but I still miss my spec-v
Would the Medusa headers still work with a stock exhaust? I’m not too cool with changing the exhaust because I actually like how it sounds. A lot of the ones I’ve heard remind me too much of Honda ricer notes.
As long as the flange and the Doughnut gasket match it should work fine. But I want to say the medusa header is bigger but I can't say for sure 100%
What wheels are those on it. I like them, im curious. I may get them
These wheels are rota Grid 17x9 I believe.
@@cornfedevo87 did the 17x9 fit ok? I believe stock is 17x7. Plus with the tires no rubbing issues??
@@qblezzy22 yeah they fit good the cleared the brembos by about 1 to 2mm or so but never needed spacers
wow dude love this... this car is seriously underrated it might not be the fastest around but its an amazing car and ive loved my 2003 Spec V since the day i got it. Wish i could build mine to this extenet though..

Is It Worth It to Buy The Audi r8 coils ignition on my Nissan Sentra see spec v 🤔
Yes Absolutely the r8 ignition coils have more energy over the stock style coils! That being said you will get less spark blow out on a turbo application and will gain power/torque and improve gas mileage. All 3 things that will not only put a smile on your face but in the long run help improve engines performance.
