Whenever I have a play through with wreav leading krogan. He always convinces me to sabotage the cure 🤷‍♂️

Hate that this Wreav feels so different from the one in ME2. Wreav from the last game was severe but not… this. Actually liked Wreav from ME2 for his own merits, but yeah, this Wreav’s just an asshole

For all the talk about how Wrex is an amazing dude (he is) and Wreav an irritant bloodthirsty maniac (he is), it's just funny to me how their *actions* are exactly the same.

Urdnot Wreav is the ONLY justification for not curing the genophage. That’s it.

If Wrex survives I always save the Krogan, whether I'm playing Renegade or Paragon. But if Wreav is the ruler, I always side with the Dalatras in the end

Wrex is a really good character, but I actually think the Genophage storyline becomes more compelling with Wreav as leader of the Krogan instead. It actually makes the sabotage option more justifiable, but then the cure option also leads to a pretty cool ending slide where Eve leads the Krogan females in rebellion against Wreav.

Wreav is the "not Mordin" of the Krogan. Can one character make you not want to help a race? Yes.

Boggles the mind that an entire species goes extinct because of one guy.

Wrev is the reason I often doomed the Krogan, prior to Legendary Edition, almost never chose to do otherwise.

Wreav is the proof that the krogans needs the genophage, or the galaxy at peace needs the krogans to have the genophage. Violence is in their nature, culture, and is meant to survive. Wrex and Bakara are exceptions forged by a dire situations. How long the galaxy could be at peace without them? What if one of them die? What when the krogan will be too numerous? Even Wrex is dangerous, he is threatening the Council saying they won't have choice when the krogans will decide where to settle. What have the krogan done after the genophage? Continuing their tradition of violence, war, bloodshed, even between them. Why the genophage happens in the first place, you think? Because they are a race of brute. They could have rebuilt their civilization. The genophage doesn't prevent reproduction, it controls it. And then, none of them even considers it. They just see it as an undeserved punition made to sterilize them. The krogans are a threat. The salarians are right. They must be kept under control, curing the genophage is the biggest mistake of the galaxy after not doing shit to prevent the Reaper invasion. Except if you chose control, because even them can't do shit against the Reapers. Wreav is not an asshole from a krogan perspective, is a an average krogan, but a very strong one. The galaxy is better with Wrex and Bakara dead, Mordin alive, and this dumbass of Wreav fouled.

I am so glad I had the foresight to load a save and ensure wrex survive mass effect 1.

People can say what they want, but honestly the best of Milky Way really got left behind in this war. This is what 15% of the characters, and they are way more interesting and show way more leadership than the entire initiative put together. And people wonder why Andromeda got such a bad rep, seriously even Wreav is more interesting the majority of characters in that game.

I kinda wish they made him more badass. Yes he’s clearly the wrong choice but I wish they made him basically Zaeed crossed with mandalore. Ruthless. Cold blooded. Vengeful. Brutal. Tyrannical. To show just how fearsome the Krogan can be.

Just look at how many people hate Wreav*: Dalatrass Linron (although that's to be expected), Adrien Victus, Shepard, Mordin, the whole Normany crew, Wrex (if alive), Bakara, his family and friends probably hate him, I'm pretty sure even Urdnot Wreav hates Urdnot Wreav! Wow! *ME3 version for sure

Does Wreav save you in the Citadel DLC?

If I ever was forced to work with wreav, I'd gladly agree with that dalatrass. It would also be a major plus to have mordin alive anyway.

Damn, I wish Wreav had a bigger role even if Wrex is alive, he should really make curing or not curing the genophage be a tougher decision for the player.

I usually end up with Wreav since I like to play with my personality rather then going full para/Ren and usually Ash ends up killing Wrex. This actually ends in the genophage cure being an actual moral dilemma rather than just an evil thing to lie about, since you are essentially repeating the mistakes that caused the need for it anyways. I choose to do it anyways because I don't like betraying people (and knowing Humans helped them them might help us in the future if Wreav does enact revenge), but it's a close decision every time.

What a lot of people don't realize is that Wreav is the standard krogan; arrogant, brash, brutal, and bull-headed. This is what the majority of the galaxy has dealt with. Eve put it best in regards to Wrex- he's a mutant. He's aberrant when it comes to krogan, from the time he tried talking his father down from senseless infighting among krogan to instead focus on repopulating. But Wreav? Wreav is your garden-variety krogan, the typical one of their kind. Wrex is the standout, and it's easy to fail to see that when Wrex is alive.
