When newjeans do a 2 parter its full of metaphor... heres my theory if you are interested.... They are all aliens..... the bit where haerin and minji run off set after haerin seemingly accidently uses her powers causing everything to shut down is possibly the moment that they got exposed as aliens.. now the humans are after them... so now they need to leave back to their home planet... Hyein is the problem as she doesnt want to leave as shes fallen for the boy... the argument at the start is hanni saying we have to leave right now.. minji argues we 5 are 1 meaning they arent leaving without Hyein. This is why Minji is constantly trying to split the two up... the conversation on the boat between Minji and Hyein seems to convince Hyein to leave with them as after we see bunny hyein holding onto minjis hand as she leads hyein onto their spaceship. Also being aliens i believe is a metaphor for idol life 'idols' are continually under scrutiny from the fans and the slightest mistake (haerin makes the 'mistake' of accidentally revealing her powers to humans) and the fans (or humans) are attacking them with hate... and also (most) idols cant just jump into a relationship whenever they like as us 'normal' people can.. they have to comply to a certain image and also relationships could lead to a lack of focus in their duties as an idol and extreme situations like leaving the group.. in the video hyein is prepared to leave the group and stay on earth with the boy... again minji we 5 are 1 is not going to let this happen. Its a take on the importance of idol groups staying together and having only each oher to depend and rely on. The we 5 are 1 thing is probably also alluding to them performing as a 4some recently for quite some time while hyein was out.. saying weve been incomplete without her or something along those lines. (depending on when this video shoot was completed of course) Theres something going on with the throwing of the cans as well.. are they beer cans? does the boy have a drinking problem? is that what minji points out to hyein on the boat and hyein sees it for herself.. is that what convinces her to leave him? i think this may be the case but newjeans all being under 21 don't want to or can't say outright thats its alcohol... but rather just allude to it... the official stance on it is he is 'littering' but he does look kind of drunk on the bo

Newjeans vibes are actually more specific and structured than you realise... they are all old school and all based around 90s urban genres.. 90s RnB with its clubland variants of Miami Bass and New Jack Swing (which is what supernatural is.. take a listen to Bobby Brown 'Every Little Step' it sounds a lot like it) Then theres 90s urban Clubland Genres mostly UK Garage but also Baltimore Club, Jersey Club and Jungle/Drum and Bass(albeit a mellower version) All genres most prominent from early to late 90s :) I would call them a 90s throwback group. The outfits in the M/V actually represent different movies, each member is showing a different movie. You are correct in that the movies they represent do come from different era's Tzuyu is doing a movie called "Breakfast at Tiffany's" which came out in the early 60's, Sana with all the colors and the "shy shy shy" lyricals is from Sailor Moon Anime late 1990's. This was actually their break out song it was so popular it made them national girl group which had belonged to Girls Generation who actually was still active at the time and made for a lot of hate towards Twice both from the 2nd gen fans and 3rd gen. FYI all Twice songs will cheer you up it's what makes Twice unique. Also for time reference Twice has been around for 9 years if you see similarities with other groups yea Twice did it already.
