👍❤
It happens, due to cold weather 🙏🤧🤐😑😷
This was actually during summer. For us, rose balling happens often when it rains a lot and then the sun comes out shortly after which then scorches the petals. If we catch it in time, we can peel the sticky petals off and the rose will bloom just fine though.
👍❤️
Thanks for bringing me to enjoy your roses. Just subscribed to your channel. Nice combination with the yellow columbine. What do you think of the disease resistant for Louise Odier Rose. This rose is one of the old garden roses on my wanted list.
Thank you! We really love Louis Odier and she puts out a lot of very fragrant flowers throughout the growing season. We don't spray her so she does get blackspots and is loved by Japanese beetles (like our other roses) starting around July. Luckily, these issues don't bother her much and we still get lots of flowers all the way until early November. You won't be disappointed! We also love our Yolande d'Aragon rose for the same reasons.
Cudna różyczka..skradła moje serce
Tak! Jest naprawdę piękny i pachnący, ale rośnie u nas bardzo wolno.
Beautiful 😍 🤩 ❤❤
❤❤❤like
Was thinking of planting this to crawl along a 40 foot split rail fence.
That sounds great! This rose is very vigorous and will cover the fence in no time. If you don’t trim it back as often as we do, it might also give you a second flush later in the year.
@@GardenDoodles grazie 🙏… adesso faccio ricerca 🔍
Comunque riconosco l impatto “ vitaminico “ che offrono all ambiente 🫶🏻
Nice flowers ❤
Looks like a wild rose❤❤
Hydrangea bobo, first time to know this kind of flowers ❤
Beautiful flowers ❤❤❤
Beautiful garden ❤❤❤❤
Beautiful my friend ❤❤❤
great color combination!
Is that 1 or 2 crocus rose bush plant together ?
This is only one rose bush. It is very rigorous.
❤
Thanks for this time lapse! I wanted to know just how long wave petunias take to fill out and this provided some great insight.
❤👍💐💖
2 different yrs i have planted these beautiful shrubs..full sun 70/80 degrees here in lower michigan....water at base of shrub and both have died they look dried out ..dead.... to expensive to keep paying $50.00 bucks just to die....but i do love them
Interesting. This reminds us of not being able to plant any nine barks because they just shrivel up and die the 3x we tried. We have been very successful with Sunjoy Gold Pillar and Crimson Pygmy barberries so maybe those might work for you.
❤ love this rose ❤
We do too! It’s very floriferous and fragrant.
Are they evergreen? How effective are they at smothering weeds.
In our zone 5, they seem to be evergreen with deep dark colors. They are cold hardy to zone 3 so in your zone they should definitely be evergreen. They are also very easy to take a stem and propagate like lemon coral sedum or creeping Jennys.
😍
Can you come help me fix my garden bed edging, please? Yours is looking tight!
Must have smelled heavenly!
Yes, it was!
Thanks for a wonderful video today and really enjoyed watching it. Beautiful beautiful garden.
Thank you!
Wow. I love lilac and I grow more and more of it in the garden 💜
Wow! You should visit Lilacia Park one day. The best time to visit is mid-May so it's coming up fast. We love them too but they can be so big and we only have limited space. We have a baby Beauty of Moscow (early bloomer) and three Bloomerangs (late bloomer) so far but every time we visit Lilacia Park, we want more!
Beautiful 😍 🤩 my friend
👍🏼
Such a beautiful garden!
Thank you!
Must smell amazing!
It was! There were other lilac varieties too that we just couldn't capture, some early and late bloomers. However, we think we went at the prime blooming time for most of them.
Are the flowers fragrant up close?
The flowers are always described as showy and fragrant but we really can't detect much of a scent. We've never brought any inside to really check but maybe will do it this year to see but outside in the cold, we haven't noticed much of a fragrance.
Love these. We bought 10 last year.
Wow! Unfortunately, we put one into a large container and it died over winter in our Zone 5b. 😢 The other one is still small but it is doing well. We can't wait to see it reach maturity. Hope yours are all doing fine!
❤beautiful & colorful garden😊love it! ❤❤
Any fragrance?
For us, the fragrance is barely noticeable but it could be because they bloom so early in the spring with snow still on the ground and we just can't detect it.
Thank you!
Beautiful 😍 ❤
Gorgeous rugosa! A smaller, more compact version of Hansa is' Moje Hammerberg'.
Thank you. Good to know because we love Hansa but it keeps growing and expanding and we feel so bad having to cut it back so harshly to maintain some sort of order. Therese Bugnet, the rugosa next to it, is even larger!
@@GardenDoodles I also have Therese Bugnet positioned in an area that benefits from its size. I agree Hansa is a large plant; cutting back its flowering wood to that extent diminishes its blooming capacity and overall grace. I prune Moje Hammerberg by 1/3 each spring and she reaches no more than 3.5ft by the end of my short growing season. New basal growth stays on the short side. Moje is my favourite rugosa - very fragrant!
Interesting! We'll have to do more pruning late winter to keep them in check. We love both because they are so floriferous and fragrant but their runners are also popping up everywhere. We've given them to anyone who asks but there are soooo many! Do you have the same "issue"? It could just be related to our growing zone so just wondering.
@@GardenDoodles I don't have that issue with Therese Bugnet. Moje Hammerberg does the rugosa thing and throws out 2-3 runners per season which I remove or give away. But these particular rose bushes are still young (3-4 years). I'm in zone 4/5 Canada (USDA zone 3/4) in an area that receives an average total of 60 hours freezing rain throughout winter. So my area is very hard on roses. I get long, very cold winters and short, very hot/humid summers. Climate, soil type and plant establishment are factors for sure. The length of your growing season makes all the difference. Trees and shrubs grow slower in areas with longer winters. Not sure how much pruning you do, but keep in mind that any large rugosa will do what it's programmed to do, regardless of how much people try to keep it down. Too much hacking against a plant's natural habit & inclination may weaken it over time. Hacking young canes down too hard will also signals the plant to produce more runners as a way to survive. You want to enjoy that young flowering wood. Old canes should be removed right from the base.
Makes a lot of sense. Thank you.
Lovely rose. Is it as fragrant as many say?
Yes, it is very fragrant and blooms throughout the season. We love it!
@GardenDoodles Thank you. I'm definitely ordering. It's so beautiful.
Thanks for sharing your beautiful garden with us. I always love a good garden tour my dear friend.
Mine grew much faster and by July were 4’ around. A single plant. I have 23 this year.
LOOKS ABSOLUTELY GREAT VIDEO AND NICE SHARING DEAR FRIEND AGAIN 🍹🍧🍧
Your peonies are stunning!
Thank you so much! These "Gardenia" peonies are really stunning so we would definitely recommend them.
สวยงามมากค่ะ
My Fav 🤗🌸💕
We love her also! She had huge flowers this year and they bloomed for a really long time. Perhaps it was due to cooler temperatures.
Beautiful
Wow rose is beautiful I bet The perfume on that rose is outstanding thank you for sharing my good friend
Amazing garden like haven
We lost all of our Double Knock Out roses to Witches Broom.
Wow! So sorry. Are you in Illinois?
