Looks very warm and inviting. The monochromatic tones are so earthy. Just an fyi on the fiddle leaf plant.. it's going to need to be in the direct sun.. you'll lose more leaves.. (i lost one because of the same kind of placement) enjoyed the video.

Get pinecones from the ground, toss them on a cookie sheet, bake on low for about 40min.

A darker color like black in your rug would ground you.!!!!!

i like the vibe in your home, rustiky but yet not too stuffed and colors are very warm and inviting , love the big art piece behind the sofa. i would suggest maybe a lighter color rug to tie with the curtains,because right now its too close to the sofa colors so something lighter will give it a bit more airy feel and break those lines with sofas.:) makes space look a bit more bigger. and ofcourse a bit bigger in size because now the sofast kinda drown the rug.

Hi there, I am newly subscribed. Wow you get some awesome deals at thrift stores. The Goodwill that I go to is very hit or miss. Your living room looks very very pretty and I love the neutral colors. That vase on the coffee table is really nice. I just did a kitchen and dining room refresh for winter and it is nice to put all the Christmas things away even though we love them when they’re out. It’s nice to get back to normal.❤

Thank you! I was wondering if I should do the appliance paint over the actual countertop paint. I loved the appliance paint on my fridge and already screwed up a countertop dyi. I used paint with a Verathane floor top coat - disaster! Peeling and yellowing and weird spots within days.. I need to cover it up till I can replace the countertop. Your video was super helpful!

Hello what's the name of that thrift store. Im in Brandon Florida

I purchased pine boards from home depot, belt sanded everything straight and put the new cabinets in and countertops on, primed everything then sanded again. I used three rustoleum paints to create a stone coat look then sanded again. I then put on the two part epoxy and wet sanded. lastly applied a clear coat for uv protection, wet sanded and buffed it to a mirror finish. I’ve been pretty happy with the outcome of my countertops, had a few nicks here and there but that’s to be expected I guess.

The peeling clearly had nothing to do with the marine paint. The primer came off the counter which means it's not supposed to be used with that paint or you didn't prep well enough.

I'm wondering if you could put Polyaspartic as a topcoat with a little pearl luster. I bought an expensive piece of quartz for my powder room and hate it because it throws gray tones instead of white.

I also use magazines and catalogs for pictures in some thrifted frames. I found a great one in the Balsam Hill fall catalog. It had a double set of black doors, brick steps and beautiful fall garlands and planters. It looks great above my console table in the dining room

I frame advertising and magazine photos all the time. As long as your not selling them, you can photocopy them onto a paper with more tooth to give it a more real painting effect. I also use the waterlogue app to make them seem as if they are watercolor paintings.
