I hope you’re doing alright, I know that this storm caught millions of us off guard, my wife and I are incredibly lucky, our house survived with minimal damage, I know that we don’t know each other but it’s good to know that you’re okay up there… we prepared for a storm as best we could, but nothing could have prepared for what you’re going through across the mountains, we enjoy your videos & appreciate the little updates…Thursday night I was still planning on being able to go little pine for garnets by Sunday morning, wow, was I wrong… we’re just hoping to use a card for supplies sometime soon, cash is king down our way. But our town is starting to clean up and come back online, we’re maybe one out of a hundred people in the city with power back. I know it’s still a recovery operation up your way, keep us posted on recovery & stay safe brother, we’re pulling for y’all

I'm surprised that you don't use a clay shovel or drain spade when digging that impacted clay, water would probably help by loading a couple pails on a small cart

That's beautiful, I accidentally found a mother lode of gold in terminated with emeralds in north Carolina when I was hitchhiking in 1981 and never returned. But I never forgot the landmark and immediate area.

I'm in Asheville, Leicester area and I'm handicapped but ambulatory... the wife and I would like to maybe do a little panning but I'm limited as to how much hiking I can do, any recommendations as to where would be a decent place to try? We were thinking about the Laurel River as the trail is decent there but never heard much about gold there...
