Bob Dylan - I Want You (1966)
THIS THING IS SO COOL!!!!
He met him at a buffet.
Who's here after the Rick Beato Mark Tremonti interview?
Sure am
Yep. lol Had to see what they were talking about. Incredible!
Hahaha. Yep 😎
I want to see the microphone that look like it was welded together by high School kid in his garage, as Mark described it
Yessir. And it does look as Mark described. I thought he was exaggerating.
Godspeed to any amp builders out there who have this kind of passion and purpose!
Excellent
He does remember how much it was but he doesn't want to say for some reason
My favourite guitar player turns out to be a humble man. He's my most listened to player.
I knew Mike, he worked on my guitars when I was a teenager I grew up in Studio City took lessons at Valley ARTS!
All snake oil
"You're not going to regret having this console..😂"
I don't see what the big deal is. These amps suck.🥱
Solo un'onda?
Great Story from a great guy about a tone Legend
Its not the equipment its the EARS
Something tells me this probably isn’t the original master tape from Abbey Road studios…
I don’t know this gentlemen and I’m not familiar with his work but we do seem to have common interest being music. I sure am glad I came across the channel randomly in my feed and clicked on it. Definitely subscribing.
The kalimba on Toto's Africa is a Yamaha GS1 Great pedigree this beauty has.
The dude ripped off Fender and the Tube Screamer and was charging people way too much money for a mediocre amp.
Oh, so you've played them, eh?
Carlos es un excelente músico y sus solos en los famosos temas de Gino V. ya son…inmortales. 👍🏿🇲🇽
Amazing guitarist! The solos on that album are my favorite s.
Awesome amp wow
Dennis' guitar session on Robbie Buchanan's hit song 'heart don't change my mind' was the best..
Why isn't this guy a recording-world influencer? He is the voice of experience. Listen to him! He understands the nuances. You can tell by how he's talking about the use of this compressor. That's not just information, it's instinct.
Socks & Sandals = "I'm the shit"
Yeah Ludwig snares are amazing ! Actually I love all Ludwig pro drums. So much bombastic character!
I don't know. There's a ton of different tech and options. Your particular ear will gravitate to other things. I understand having a grounded reference for mastering, but there's a literal galaxy of options and stratospheric expense if you so choose. Is any of it "better" than this mastering set? Only one way to find out really. Certainly a mastering console as represented in this video is far from the best listening environment. Dedicated rooms exist for a reason. I also think having "This the absolute best and no better exist" attitude is a real lost opportunity to hear what might be better.
Lucky Man
Huge fat sound!
I WISHED I COULD OWN AN ORIGINAL DUMBLE OD SPECIAL BUT NOWADAYS THEY GO FOR 250000 DOLLARS AND I CANT BELIEVE THESE CLONES FROM HRM OR CERIATONE WILL COME NEAR
This is wild! Thanks for the video of this rare machine. Vangelis used one of these on the Antarctica score and also on Private Collection with Jon Anderson in 1983.
Thinking about getting a clone from Ceriatone. Very nice amps, affordable, and lots of choices. Check out the Overtone series, that’s their dumbles.
Yes, great value for money especially if you're a working musician like me, Nik builds great Dumble style amps. I have a 100w OTS FM and C Lator... Amazing gigging and recording amp
Hello, where can I buy this musical instrument, and what is the price range?
As a young man hearing this big dude rambling on about the difference in rca and we stern electric was foreign at the time..he understood things..😊
This guys solos on Gino s album are Incredible!
I'm not even a big fan of the Dumble amplifier sound. But if Howard had offered to build me an amp, of course I'd figure out how to fund it and say OK. What guitar player wouldn't?
This man is one of the genies of the business.
Looks like a pair of Mesa Mark 1 amps, 1 without EQ, the main one with EQ.. and two of the Yamaha G50 112 II models that were made in collaboration with Paul Rivera.
I saw and heard one of these, for sale at an electronic surplus place in Peabody MA back in the 70s. As I strolled by it, it captivated me with its random, soothing mellow tones. Unfortunately it was out of my poor-student price range back then.
Its seems very similar to the GX1 to me.
You can see one of these in action on the Grateful Dead “So Far” video. Brent uses one
I feel bad for the guys who spent years designing and building this only to have it be obsolete a few short years later. It actually has some decent sounds tho. Very warm and full. Just a clunky design. To load a disc hit “Help” lol
Awesome video...
Thank you very much for sharing this.
I have that Fender Bassman he's talkin' bout. Silverface'73
I got a "Dumbler" mini pedal off Amazon for 26.00. I'm not sure, but I don't think it has "it".
The evil eye also one of the greatest solo❤
I associate this model with Toto and Elton John. Did Frank Stallone also own one? I’ve gotten into the habit of saying that the shape was based on the CP-80. Is that accurate, though?
I met Carlos Rios when I subbed for him once in Los Angeles!! What huge shoes to fill!! He couldn't have been any nicer. Love that cat!! ❤
Carlos is a great guy and a phenomenal guitar player!! ❤
