Making tracks 4 at Chester cathedral + A few trains at Chester 21/08/24
A good few hours were spent at Chester cathedral to see the Making tracks 4 layout based off of a section of the WCML including areas such as Watford Junction Station and Bushey viaduct.

An amazing hour was spent at Acton bridge to see 50050 and 45118 working the 'North West wanderer' railtour aswell as all the usual traffic along the WCML. A very good few hours were spent at Chester to see 46100 'Royal Scot' aswell as the NMT HST with 43357 and 43277 making an appearance. Brilliant video mate, I saw the NMT at Crewe and the mail at Warrington. Shame you missed the 47s at Runcorn East - you would've seem me if you did because I was at Runcorn East for them!

Brilliant video mate, I was at Tamworth this day and saw many of these moves myself, including the HST. Great to see 43050 back and nicely repainted
43050 does look great in her new livery, those new nameplates were also a nice surprise

I was also surprised to see 001 out as I believe that has been sat in Birkenhead North depot for a while
@@bptrains yes it was, 001 had a fault, I think that was why it was in Birkenhead north. Same with 017. 👍

Wow that’s the way to get your backside kicked by Avanti. Had It done loads mate but not when Drax is in reverse mode 😂
Proper annoying that one especially since there were 2 locos on the drax, thankfully I had my dad on lookout so the avanti didn't sneak up and scare the crap out of me 😂

Nice footage, Chester looked very busy. I saw the A4 at Crewe and I was expecting huge crowds on the platforms but it was actually pretty quiet
I was expecting Crewe to be extremely busy especially also to see 86259 but I guess everyone made their way to chester
@@bptrains If anything, it seemed like there were more people for the 86 than for Sir Nigel Gresley, although that's probably because people were spread out all across the station for SNG

Was actually considering going there to get the 47s leaving but I couldnt figure out how to get there in the end
@@bptrains go out the barriers. Turn left, past the shop and the ticket office. Onto the parcels bay. Carry on to the very end where you see a gate/ entrance and some steps. At the bottom of the steps turn left and walk towards the container then Bob’s your uncle your there 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Apologies for how bad this video turned out, the 37 passed early and I only just pulled up at the station as it was approaching
Brilliant footage, always good to see double headed steam on the mainline. I'm hoping to chase this pair down the Heart of Wales line on Saturday given it will be the first steam on that line in three years
The 8 day tour its doing looks good I'm hoping to get it at Lime Street on friday

Some great footage, good to see some 507s still out and about. Brilliant to see 37s on the RTC instead of 73s, I saw them at Cuddington
I initially thought it would be 73s, and so didn't bother going to see them but when I found out it was 37s my mind quickly changed lol

I still find it incredible that the class 37 which is probably at least a decade older than the emu being taken to scrapping by it. Still works and is still in service when the younger rolling stock is being scrapped
I know that does say alot, 37s even haul brand new trains for storage or delivery
Great footage, always plenty going on at Acton Bridge. I was planning on going there for the tours but decided last minute to stay at Crewe for them instead
Crewe is always good for the thrash but Acton bridge is quite local to me so most of the time we go there
