I am late to finding Josh, I found his music during the off time in between fearless ii and the return albums, but still love his music, I do agree that he has carbon copies of old music, but still think that when you break apart the albums all the songs stand alone are great. Sad to see that when the fearless ii album is all one it fails to do what it tried.

Fearless 2 Was a amazing album He has talked about how he doesnt like to make that music anymore because it makes him re experience his trauma Once again I think Fearless 2 Was amazing he switched up genres and thats it I still love his music a ton.

It's kind of funny I can agree with you on a lot of points but for some different reasons. I think I've always been more of a fan of Jake and lean toward enjoying most of Josh's music that goes that direction. (with Fearless II, the stuff before On My Own) Was never really into his slow emo songs because I just like a lot of people that do it better IMO. I think the worst part of Fearless II is everything after Revelation. It just reminds me of trash mainstream pop-hop that you would hear at the local bar. Would like to see him and Jake collab more again because in the last couple years I find myself just listening to Jake a lot more and just Josh's old music. Could just be a taste difference, but I find emo rap pretty hard to listen to unless it's creative and stands out.

I've always loved how the symbiote suit evolves as the lines get covered up, showing that it's consuming and almost has fully consumed Peter, and the spider symbol becomes warped, showing that the symbiote has twisted and distorted him and what he stands for. At least that's what i think

So I too have been listening to josh a since i was in highschool as well and no matter what happens i will always be a fan of him, i love all of his songs and the music he makes, when i saw the song Dallas on his Spotify stuff i didnt want to listen to it but i gave it a shot and loved it yeah josh had a small portion in the song but it still worked, his lil revive side of things is also amazing and i will still love what josh does and i realized he has been makimg the same stuff but i will still love the music because its still good music and speaks well to me. You just need to remember making new songs and giving them a new beat isnt an easy thing, you have to put rhythm and beat to the lyrics. But i do hope he does go back to his old ways or makes some good things its just getting hard because everything sadly needs auto tune and its sad. But i will always love josh a and i will always listen to him because he also helped me out through tough times.

I'm sorry but this video is pointless. you're looking into things way too much. As you said he's released 20 albums in how many years and he's young. a 1 min video saying slow down on quantity and focus on quality is all that is needed. the more time between albums the more unique they will be (if that's what you want).

No hate on your end, but mood swings and the other song, yes they sound alike, but from a producer perspective, lots of artists sometimes use the same samples in song, I’ve also used the same sample and changed them a bit, again no hate on your side.

I personally think Fearless 2 is his best album. Just my opinion.

came back to this after almost a year and i mostly agree. Fearless II seemed very rushed. josh said on the podcast before that Lonely Vibes was originally going to be Fearless II before it became its own style and became Pop. the songs like Let You Go seems very familiar to Broken off Fearless. I believe that the Rap tracks on the Deluxe and a few songs off GrimPeaks III were originally going to be on the original Fearless II. Very Good video with great points

The part where Peter fights against the symbiote really made it clear that all of this was a metaphor for addiction. Peter is a good kid who made some bad choices after the symbiote begins to take over his life, in a sense, so rather than wearing a cool black suit, the suit is wearing him. Addiction does change people and like Peter becoming angrier and bitter from not letting go of the alien life form, he was ultimately spiralling into a loss of his true self. You pointed out the addiction metaphor well and this was an interesting video.

I love Josh and Jake but I grew up with Eminem and I got also to critical. Believe me it doesn't matter how good his new music will be it will never be good enough. Try to see the music like new music don't compare it to much. I agree it's not his best album but it's not as bad as you kick it in the ground

It seems more like you just call the music "boring" that you don't personally resonate with. You'll criticize the depth of his lyrics, but then dismiss some of his most meaningful songs due to their instrumental or something else you don't like before you get to the actual lyrics. Plenty of fans liked and resonated with his old music, and now also resonate with the new. There's nothing wrong with you disliking the direction of his music but instead of legitimately critiquing it for discussion you just call it "boring" or "the same." "No self-reflection." Why should an artist always have to be returning to form, or be self-reflecting (especially considering how much of Josh's lyrics are self-reflective)? Let them be who they are now and express that through their music. Also, its hilarious to me that some people are bothered by artists having features on songs where they are talking about the problems in their life, as if that's some kind of terrible thing. How does a musical collaboration between two people writing genuinely about their lives subtract from their messages? Such a terrible thing that people can relate to each others struggles and create art. "Just do it alone or its not genuine!" Lmao

I read the title and was "What are you on bro?" I do understand your points and even though his music relates mostly to him, the Your Not Alone album is something that I relate to so much it makes me cry sometimes, So even if his music sounds SIMILAR the lyrics is different.. also him trying old AND new styles of music is trying to find his own style. Also Fearless 2 is one of the best albums I've listened to by Josh A, And holy shit it's actually saved my life, the song Long Way To Go, I love that album because of the skits and the lore there. I think Josh's music has stayed as good or even better. And the Warfare song gives me literal chills. Alot of people like one set taste, and that's okay if you feel like the music started disconnecting for YOU but other people can relate to this music more than you could ever imagine. So when you say it's 'Boring' that is your own opinion and you have every right to that but I think the music is sill so damn good. I know this was made 10 months ago and you probably won't see this but if I'm making any sense. Your opinion is different from other people's (example: Mine) I think that Fearless 2 is one of the albums that I relate to so much and I get your points 100% but I don't think that your points are relatable to ME. I think ever single youtuber that makes a list about Josh & his style are just wanting the same thing which was Fearless 1 beat. If an artist keeps the same style beats & rhyme style then they wont grow. Ive yet to come across a decent review. Not my taste
