Working in Real Time
США
Добавлен 28 ноя 2023
You will see me working on......stuff....all kinds of stuff, in real time...give or take. Including all the mistakes.
What you WILL NOT SEE OR HEAR, any stupid music over what is going on....I hate that.
What you might hear, a very little bit of what is going on, me talking to myself, and as I am working on things likely the new formation of some never seen before cuss words. This is largely un-edited.
Am I doing this right, Doubt it. Am I doing this safely, not likely, but no one calls me stumpy yet. Am I going to do things very wrong, you bet. Will there be blood, if you are lucky.

1967 Fiat 850 Spider, ride from auto parts store
This is a video of part of the ride home from the auto parts store, picking up some ball joints for the '86 Pontiac Fiero. Video on that soon.
Video is more bouncy then the car really is, I think the way the camera was mounted. Enjoy.

Here is a first person view of building the front wall. As with all videos of this series it has been sped up, in this case 2x. This will give you a good idea of the general method of construction as well as the quality and thickness of the material. Can't say it enough great kit.

Amazon Induction Heater

This is a video showing me using a cheap Amazon Induction heater on a very rusty nut. This is the mower deck of a 1985 Ford YT16 lawn mower. I doubt the spindle has ever been off this deck. Trying to show just how fantastic of a tool these induction heaters are.
Land Plane

Here is a short video of my Homestead Implements Land Plane. I have owned this product for roughly one year. I can say the build quality is past fantastic, welds are great, and general fit and finish is the standard that everything should be measured by. No they did not pay me anything or give me anything I bought this thing. I was a little worried about sending that much money to an "internet"...
Don't Tread On Me

I hung this flag in the shop and noticed the air from the heat moving it around. Well there is only one thing that goes with this. Hopefully the Damn Yankees do not object.

1931 dated Mexican Mauser Trigger Guard assembly dropped into a sonic cleaner, trying to remove 90 years of gook. As with all my videos, NO STUPID MUSIC.

Save the little containers you get, you never know what you can use them for.

Lincoln 215MPi, the one thing no video shows you
Thanks Dude! We owe you a beer!!
Thank you for these videos! I was so nervous to pull the trigger on this greenhouse but now I’m so excited to have it delivered 😊
Same as my 210 mp , just different software , they under rate these Lincolns by 20 amps .I know of people that drill a hole in the back and feed 30 pound spools all day every day with these machines . Personally i use my MP for tig more than anything , just wish it had a HF start but hey ,you get what you pay for .
I love the break down. It's well thought out. Subbed!
Really? Several videos talked about it.
Get this guy a decent mic and 800k subs right now!
Cool ! Very cool indeed that slipped off sweet ! As a carpenter I've no real use for this tool but I'm sure I could find an excuse to buy one no problem I love all tools except anything made by Stanley!
Never seen such a thing
I wish you would’ve mentioned the price that’s Important information
Nice
“Bra, just use an impact!” I wonder if some of us prefer manual tools because we are OCD or on some kind of spectrum?
Impacts only work marginally better on stuck fasteners anyway. If it's stuck enough to need to be heated to red, an impact would struggle or rip it off. I doubt anyone saying to use an impact has dealt with seized hardware.
Those that go right for the impact have zero clue what they're doing.
@@joshuapaul349tool of choice equates to knowledge and if you don't know anything you use an impact? You sound very intelligent with that statement.
@@PeterTrimboli I literally said "Those that don't know" (sic) -Me How did you interpret that as me not having a clue and going straight for an impact? -Sent from my service truck
@@joshuapaul349 You said that people who reach for an impact don't know what they're doing. I'm saying you're unintelligent by assuming people's knowledge based on what tool they use. I don't think I misinterpreted anything. I think you misinterpreted my simple statement.
cost?
$200
As a time served British blacksmith my. My advice to you would be to pour cold water over that. heated nut before you ever try to undo it. particularly with fine threads. You run a risk of stripping the threads while they're soft. by cooling the nut first, has a two fold effect. The nut shrinks first over the expanded bolt that cools down last. more than lightly, you'll be able to undo that with your fingers. If Cool, it first. I also have one of these machines. They are OK, but you can't do too much work before Start to trip out. I wish I'd got a more powerful one, now Also mine is 230 Volt 100watt. living in UK. I presume yours will be 110.volt
That makes the fastener brittle....... Heat it and let it cool.....unless you wanna put in a new fastener.
Quenching high carbon steel? And your a black smith? Hmmm
My man never heard of brittle fracture
@@Nick_L. I think you must be referring to high tensile steel not mild
You should put a link to it in the description.
Thanks for posting. One of these is on my radar 👍
great
Have mine for over one year and is a no brainer. I come from a 210 PM and the roller assembly is the same, for me was not an issue at all
Está em venda
I bought my 215 about 3 month ago and seen at least a half a dozen videos on setup or out of the box start-ups that talked about it. Thanks for the info.
Great info, I would like to buy one of these welders one day. I Subscribed to your channel also to encourage you to make more videos. I'm an old guy that just got interested in welding and metal fabrication type projects. So knowing you have the welder I'm interested in, it would be fun to hear how you like it, and see you using it for projects. Looking forward to seeing more. I'm also hitting the notifications button. Thanks!
Will it go low enough to weld body panels?
Yes, I would suggest .025 wire
Promo'SM
It's in the bakers gas reviews
Thanks for sharing. Just started using my new Mig215 as well but haven’t had the chance to load wire yet. This will help!
Nice welder. To my knowledge, that type of feed roller mechanism eliminates a birds nest. Thanks for sharing.👍
I just got one and knew how to change the drive roll.....I was a welder repair tech......1 thing I saw that was not clear is the .025 drive roll is not marked but it is good for .025 and .030 wire....the .035 drive roll is good for .035....They are smooth v-groove and meant for solid wire used with gas. the .035-.045 drive roll supplied is for flux core wire and is knurled.....Lincoln lists the drive rolls as Number 1-2 and 3 and I did not find a separate .030 drive roll......They could have done a better job in the manual.....
What does the pan look like? Be sure the heater channels mesh with the pan before you fix them permanently!
The pan has been replaced, looked about as good as the rest of the car....not much there.
