So the Ottomans, the Mamluks, the abbasids, the romans, the seleucids, the achaemenids etc. were all jewish? If you're really trying to explain it you'd talk about why this is the case, and the blockades, expanding settlements, checkpoints and occupation that the Palestinians object to, and their violent response to this which means that Israel does not feel it can stop.
