Easiest way to do this is by using the mod "Forgotten Worlds" from Nexus Mods made by ducknukam.

There is a much simpler way to get the sword and gauntlets. You just have to help Oriana and get the key to the lair, and then chose to go to the fairyland anyway. They key works just fine.

PC version 4.04 as of 08/19/24. All glitches still work. The leap of faith at the end gave me the hardest time. After repeatedly jumping (and disappearing) in the same direction of the dark mass on the right, I decided to try jumping into the mass and it worked. Also, I found that I didn't have to swim back to the prison lake from the Unseen Elder cave. After reaching recognizable land, I popped out of the nearest pond and everything was fine. Syanna joined up with me and we rode back to the Land of a Thousand Fables.

You have to go to the normal part of the map proceeds to not show how to do that

for the steel sword and gauntlet, if you did blood simple quest and got the stone key beforehand, you can just open the cave door with it and grab them. saves a lot of time compared to doing the glitch again. also i tried doing the glitch from the land of fables to toussaint then entered the cave with the key, turns out the cutscene will still trigger and the unseen elder kills you. so for the rest of the armor, the swimming glitch is required.

You should really give Enhanced Edition a try at least once. Especially if you're going back to the game after a while. It'll be like playing a completely new game. The combat is a thousand times more enjoyable as well, though it does have a learning curve. Combine it with Random Encounters Reworked, and Vlad UI and you're playing The Witcher 4 early access.

RER is an essential, it makes the game full of life even if you've already 100% completed the game, its awesome, i was once exploring skillege to get to the question marks when a fucking cyclops 10 levels higher than me on death march too, ambushed me from the ground, (I set the difficulty that way in RER) yes its the variant giant that can bury underground and has a chained blade from god of war as a weapon and man handled me into oblivion, spent the next 2 hours slowly killing the guy who has a million HP, fun times.
