I was on that same cruise! Great time.
Great cruise! Of our 3 cruises so far it’s been my favorite ship.
That french cheese factory moment really hit me.

Here's Day 2, Key West!: ruclips.net/video/UI3_lZDCmnc/видео.html
Glad you pointed out this extra channel, Nook! How did I not know about this?
What did it cost you to hire the driver for the day?
€70, there’s a few different choices depending on where you want to go. That got us three stops; Carthage, Sidi Bou Said, & the Medina (we skipped the Medina and spent more time at ancient Carthage spots) Once we had him we basically just said, “we just want to see ancient Carthage, take us there” and he tour guided us to several different ruins
I grew up in Ardmore, OK! The "museum" there is quite limited, but it is neat.
Yes and whats more fascinating is that nearly all of them were women and children. God bless them all
Looking forward to stopping in that port next month. Thanks for the tips !
Your description of the park was not nice.I.thought it was nice and it had sitting areas gardens.
Sorry it came out that way, I really liked the gardens. I didn’t know what to expect and was pleasantly surprised.
Hey! I recognize that backpack!
😆 It was great meeting and chatting with you, Pravus.
Never in my wildest dreams as a 15 year old playing Pirates on Amiga Sid would one day 4x the entire world of gaming😊
Good weather! 🌧
Fancy hotel because they knew a cruise ship pro would not settle for less!
I’m gonna have to find a fancier cruise ship, never had one with a horse before!
Love this! I hope you had fun!
Thats really cool Nook. I feel like this could have gone on the main channel. Its game related!
Main channel gets its own more Civ7 focused, I figured it’s best to stick the Baltimore trip stuff over here
Come vi siete trovati in Italia ?
We loved it, I want to go back already!
@@NooksBackpack vi consiglio un canale RUclips. Finestre sui borghi. È un canale che mostra tanti borghi italiani sconosciuti a molti stranieri. Buone giornata a tutti voi dall'italia 👋👋👋
Hello! you shared epic . have a great day. Nook's~ )
Did you get sea sick at all? Also, how much is bowling on the ship?
I think bowling was $25/ half hour or $45/hour for one lane. Before the cruise you can buy a game card that is a pretty good deal if you plan on doing that or the f1 racer. I don’t remember exactly but something like $80 for $150 worth of games. None of us got seasick. On our last cruise on the Carnival Liberty (a much smaller ship) some of us felt the waves a bit more. We brought a patch to stick behind your ear and it worked almost instantly. amzn.to/3M5LMLG We brought those patches this time but never needed them
Very nice tour, I’ve toured it twice. You should consider the other two color coded tours. The Drum was interesting, my first tour it was still in the water. The second tour they had it out of the water because they had discovered leaks. That tour was disappointing because they had everything they could stripped out of it. The torpedos were back in place for your tour showing how intimate the crew was with them in the aft torpedo room. One more note, one of the tours give you access to the inside of main Tourret. Powder magazine and the machinery that transports the ordinance up to the guns
It needed dry docking like 40 years ago.
Pretty cool place to visit. need to put on your bucket list. I have been too cool and awesome 😊
I enjoy your videos but can you slow down when you speak, please? I have trouble keeping up with the actual speech
If it could sneak in they could sneak out so thats bs from the get go..
What do you think about tunisia?was the visit better with grandiosa or do it alone?
Do you mean travel there without a cruise ship versus visiting for a port day? It was my favorite stop this whole cruise, however, staying in Tunis overnight might have taken me a little too far out of my comfort zone. This was my first trip out of North America so maybe if I was a little more of a seasoned traveler 😁
Hi nook backpack, I have a question about the cruise restaurent, which restaurent is without additional fee ?
La Perla Grigia is the main dining room for dinner that’s included. You can also do lunch or breakfast in La Loggia. Those 2 dining rooms and the Buffet are the only “free” places to eat.
Thank you so much ! I’m so appreciate it 👍
I remember when a student in high school We all donated money to bring the Alabama to mobile. You could go anywhere in the ship and touch every thing. It’s sad to see so much blocked off so you can’t even in that section anymore.
How did I miss this?!?
Yea, how did you miss this lol.
@@Cio_d-borba completely didn’t know anything about it
I did a ton of research trying to plan for this vacation in Rome and this pyramid never came up. It wasn’t until I was there and looking at Google maps I saw it and looked into it.
@@NooksBackpack Really? I mean, it's not one of the prime attractions or anything, but it's still somewhat known.
@@NooksBackpack same!! I did so much research and thought I included ALL the sites! Guess I missed this one!
That is a Dan Browns book about to happen
That's crazy!.
I love the way you folks just explore as you go. So mellow. Great father.
Thanks for sharing. You guys took a nice walk! I am looking forward to seeing the tomb of Maxentius in the fall. Don’t bury me in a tomb. Folks just steal your stuff and toss your ashes or bones in the nearest bush. 😅
I think I hit 20,000 steps that day, lots of walking! This was our final day in Rome so I wanted to make sure we didn’t miss anything 😆
I still can’t get over how much better (and cheaper) McDonald’s was in Italy. Plus, a block of Parmesan cheese in your kids meal! 😆
for an authentic Colusseum experience River was beating up everyone with her legendary mace
This was a tough day for River. It was hot and we walked a ton, we told her when she wanted to complain about all the walking or heat she could just hit us with that bottle and we’d take a little break. We got hit a lot… 😆
@@NooksBackpack That's great :D I can 100% understand, we also had some tiring trips when I was a kid. Hikes were fine, but I remember city sightseeing being super tiring (and sometimes boring)..
Yeah, as cool as it was it’s not too interesting to a 7 year old. She was a trooper though.
My beautiful country Tunisia 🇹🇳🌺🏖️
When Vesuvius erupted in 79AD, the pyroclastic flow went West towards Herculaneum, everyone hid at the port (this was the coastline then) Unlike Pompeii which got hit with tons of rock falling and burying it, this town was ash, and is also why it’s better preserved than Pompeii
Herculaneum was covered in lava, not ash though
i just went to pompeii last month and didn’t see these?
Thanks not Pompeii
@@Blue_Nebula1 oh the caption has #pompeii
Pompeii, the volcano that killed the whole city with its smoke and ash.
This is Herculaneum not Pompeii.
May I have more information?
At the very beginning of this video I explain it better: ruclips.net/video/pCJz5L63duU/видео.html
Nice!👍🏼
My grandma is going to take me on this trip
Enjoy! Sit on the West side of the train (right side going to Texas) for the best views
❤❤
Fun video. Generally it is a toilet under the stairs. And the rooms in the front are either shops if they open onto the street, or maybe a business, but unlikely to be servants quarters since this would be the first room guests would see. And the old pipes coming down from the second floor are usually also coming from toilets into a cesspit. Fresh water came from aqueducts.
Oh, that’s very interesting about the toilet, I thought they only had public toilets but it makes sense the rich folks would have em. I know about the shops but I always thought those first small rooms were for servants. If not them what or who would be in there?
If you get a guide book, they will likely say what they think the use was for each room. Archeologists love to make guesses and then disagree with each other. But Roman’s were very consistent in their housing designs, so they actually know pretty well.
Excellent Trip To Herculaneum. 🌋🏛🍕
The basilica was, in Roman times, not a church. They were public buildings where the business/government of the town was conducted. That style of building was taken over by the Christian Church as good worship buildings. That's why Roman Catholic Churches are called basilicas.
Ahh interesting!
you have a wonderful family
not servants.... slaves
