Mostly serves as my own diary. But, if it makes somebody smile, or learn something about fitness, early retirement, achieving goals, etc, then all the better. Some stuff I’ve been doing since retiring in 2019, at age 43. A little bit of traveling, learning the piano, my life long habit of exercising, and maybe some tips on early retirement.

You are forgeting rental income on houses that can be 10% plus house price rise
Not forgetting. Whole separate topic. Rental vs home. I will address rental properties in future posts :)
And rental income can be 10% or 0% or 20%. Depends on the house, apt, area, etc. But if you’re getting 10% ROI on rental cash flow, that’s pretty good. :)
@@RetireearlyNYC Well 5-10% on rental ROI is usual, also 8-10% on shares is very good if you can guarantee it.
Good perspective on investment strategy 👍
Thanks!
im 27 and used all my savings to buy a property outright in eastern Maine. I did want to get a smaller piece of property for maintenance purposes, but I figure I have plenty of space to grow into it and I don't have to pay rent. Taxes are about 350$ a year.
Excellent!
Very true. Recently moved into my van. Lol
Van life? Very interesting!
Read more books on real-estate investments. Owning property is best investments ever.
@@dolphin19721000 We did it from 2009 to 2019. And read extensively. Read for a whole year before buying 4 properties in Bk. :)
@@dolphin19721000 It was a lot of work. But well worth it, IF you do it right (which 90% of mom and pop owners don’t)
Beautiful nature 🍀🍀

Pensions help a lot. Lots of people do not make 6 figure salaries. Curious why quit at such a young age?
Hi yes pensions do help a lot. However, a pension is simply another retirement plan that we contributed money into. It’s just another form of 401K. No cop I know is financially free solely bc of a pension. Everybody works at least part time. Now, 2 pensions…from 2 civil servants. Yes.
My wife retired early to be with the kids. And we always had a 20 year plan. Bc I could retire at 20, we agreed that she would be able to as well, and we worked toward that goal. She accomplished her goal a couple years ahead of time, stayed another year for good measure and retired at 19 years. I retired 2-3 years after that to join her, be with the kids more, travel, do more reading and pick up hobbies, be with my mom, and bc making more money wouldn’t have made us any happier :) We have our chosen lifestyle and we can easily maintain it. In short, we retired early to be free. Free from jobs and free travel and free to spend more time with family :)
Yes lots of people do not make 6 figures. But everybody can do things to retire sooner. Most people can cut somewhere and save more money. Hope that helps. :)
Yahoo! Great for you guys, love your travels! I suppose I'm in the semi-retired club. I'm doing the rentals and the airbnb and you are correct. NOT passive, still a bit of work. Clogged toilets, frozen pipes... the latest complaint was a squeeky dock!.. lol 😂
@@karlamcguire9070 Sounds good! Good luck!! It’s a lot of work, but can be worth your while :)
Cut your finger nails. Too much clicking. Otherwise well done.
@@Kazzerp thanks! it’s a constant issue with teens lol. She’s now 16 same issue. But I’m just happy she’s still practicing on her own, nails or not. ;)
LOL!!! I love Amish....
Holy crap. It’s Bourbon, not Whisky. Whisky would’ve been her second dog if she gets one. I can’t believe I forgot! LOL.
Did you sell it???...would love to have it!!
@@peytonbuzz Hi! Yes I sold it. Got a 2021 Mini Cooper S. 2 door. Had to be small and automatic in order to teach my kids how to drive (but still be fun for me)
I own a 2005 987 Boxster S which I bought in ‘07. It still gives me goosebumps to this day. The mid-engine makes for the most exhilarating driving experience you can have and the handling is unmatched. I know 6 people who have purchased Porches since seeing and driving my Boxster. Two Boxsters, three Macans, and one Cayman. It’s also the most reliable car I’ve ever owned. You won’t be disappointed

It's perfect if you've got money to burn. Almost pulled the trigger on one 14 years ago but decided on a Honda S2000 instead. One of the best decisions I ever made.
i do have to say early boxters like the 987/986 do have many problems sometimes like eletrical ect
987.2 is the perfect first sports car with the 987.1 possibly a better buy if you keep on top of maintenance.
These are staff live in cottages come take a drive here along Ocean Drive in Palm Beach all the way South to Miami!
I have the 2016 F33 hard top version, lovely cars.
It’s fried eggs headlights not scrambled eggs, sigh.
@@LordLauderdale I’m no pro and I only do one take lol. So yeah there will be mistakes, such as v6 vs flat 6.
Great color combination.
Thanks! I loved it
Give you 1 reason why it isn’t the perfect 1st sports car : 986 😊
Terrific sports car, but probably not ideal as a first sports car if you're on a tight budget. The price of these things may have come down, but the price of Porsche spare parts and maintenance has not. 987s are now getting close to 20 years old, and there will be plenty of wear and tear items that need replacement. But if you can afford the upkeep, 987 Boxsters are very rewarding cars to own and drive.
3:15 did he say 2.7L V6 ?
Yes it’s a flat 6. lol
It is the perfect last sports car as well........
100%
Thanks for that!
The 986 S is by far the better option 👍
I had four boxers all great all years maintenance is key
Thanks, good advice
Hi John, thanks for sharing, im saving for the 987 2.7l 5 speed manual, cant wait to bring it to my channel in 2024. Best of luck with the channel.
Thanks! I’m basically using the channel as a video diary, with occasional videos that I think will appeal to some people. Not looking to grow it or anything :)
Nice enjoy@@RetireearlyNYC
The "S" is worth it!
The s is double the price now
Perhaps the next one:) Or upsize to a 911
Ok, I got exactly what you said to avoid. I got a 2006 boxster S . automatic, and it was under 15k.1 owner only, than me. I drive top down year round and no storing it away for winter. Can't really push it in high speed, because you'll run out of ROAD! Aloha from Hawaii! note ... don't want to be driving too fast, bikinis are getting smaller and that back bikinis views are hazardous . Keeping eyes on the road becomes secondary!
😂😂😂😂
Nice enjoy
3.15 - Flat 6, not a V6. Great cars, and some say more reliable than the S.
Yes flat 6. I caught that as soon as I said it lol. I don’t usually do videos for other viewers lol. I upload mostly for use as my own diary :)
