Ferrari 348 Challenge Twin Turbo Being Prepped for TV!?!?
Wow !!
Absolutely amazing work !! Who tf is brave enough to " crack " open an antique Super Car ?? Especially such a low production XJ220 ???
there is something about the air of this cars with the looks and dashboard with levers....so 80s its a great looks and recipe
Wilson Richard Jackson Scott Thomas Richard
I noticed the lack of speedo reading on the Dyno, so I'm guessing road speed sensor on one of front wheels. I'm intrigued to know how the mapping was done without road speed data input ?⚠️
Dyno has its own speed measurement that we can use. You are correct the front wheels have separate wheel speed sensors for the speedometer to work
So beautiful in that colour and nice to see an interior that is NOT black 😍
Back when supercars were more super in design. One of the all time great "poster" cars.
why am i finding this channel now 😔
3S won a lot races in the 90’s, made over 800hp 😮
How much to do this to a 94 spider
send us an email and we can discuss further! omd.sandiego@gmail.com
That color…..
Surely the tyres aren't original tyres lol
The car had the original 1993 tires when we got it, but now we've made a custom set of wheels with a new set of Toyo tires!
Xjr-15 waaaay better car imo
How can you not hit the like button. Just look at that car dude! :D
There used to be a guy in Cheltenham in the uk who would use one every day and call into the pub for a drink incredible presence on the street a real treat to see . Bless he’s no longer with us , great man
A Jagwire?
Was that 375 Ft-lbs tourqe?
Torque is on the right side, not sure if you can see it well in the video. It made about 310ft lbs
So what if it didn't get a V12! It still kicked b*tt back then! And still probably the most beautiful car ever made. And she sounds awesome, good job. :)
0:35 SO CALLED 2CARPROS!!!!!!
Just ove the fact you yanks love our english enginerring and cars as there way better than your yank tanks. I may be wring but the crappy ford poroton was the base line for this desingn
Nice colour.
Cannot believe all the mods and the loud exhaust with pops and bangs improved the value of this car. These guys more or less made the value worse. Crazy how people can do this whilst thinking it is better for the car. Classics should stay untouched for keeping correct value.
Doubt these people care about the car's value that much, which is a good thing. Thinking of everything as a investment is a poor taste.
A Toyota engine that MUST be embarrassing since the valva cover says otherwise... Thats weak.
Nah, we like the 3S engine and Toyota products in general. We made a custom valve cover that looks cool simply because we could.
MG metro 6R4 engine with turbos 👍
This was my dream car when I was a kid. Crazy that it was only a V6 though still at one time, the fastest car in the world.
Just found your channel, luvin the vids! keep em coming! What make of wheels are you running on this Starlett? watching from here in England 👍🇬🇧
Great. Love your builds and videos. Especially the Ferrari
I try to follow the xj220 on various channels. I am not sure if that exhaust is aftermarket. I do not recall ever hearimg one sound like that. The exhaust is too loud and sounds horrible. This beautiful car should not sound like your uncle Tracy and cousin Billie Earl used some empty PBR cans to rig a "High Performance" exhaust on your new Walmart branded chinese built 20cc riding lawn tractor for this years gator and frog leg festival's tractor pull. Put back the original exhausst!
Hi, have you tried the non plunging cv’s? I’m having the same issue with a ke20 busa build. Just ordered one fixed cv. I guess it should be enough with one fixed and one plunging for some movement between the gearboxes… looking forward to the next starlet video ;)
I've been told that fixed it for someone else. I have not personally tried it.
That's nuts. I'm in the process of accruing parts for a mild turbo build on the altezza I recently bought, so will be watching this space eagerly
Amazing!
Outstanding!!
Bee-turbo.
Holy moly now I gotta watch the build series
Wow that valve cover is beautiful
Thank you 🙏🏻
Incredible build!
It would've been really cool to see this thing get the same twin turbo V6 from the Kia Stinger GT (like the Delorean got), but a 3S-GE Beams is cool as well. I have always loved those old Maseratis.
Hopefully Steven doesn't see your comment lol Multiple times he's said "damn I should've gone Kia" but I think he's pretty stoked with the car as it is!
@@omd_sd Lol...don't get me wrong, I'm not anti-Toyota power, the 3S-GE is a great engine and it's powered so many cool cars over the years, and not only did this one made INCREDIBLE horsepower figures, but I never thought that one day I would equate big power numbers with a Kia engine. Still, it's hard to argue with a well-proven twin turbo V6 engine platform. My last major build was my 1997 Civic coupe that I swapped in a fully built LSVTEC with a GTS3582 turbo and it made 709 whp at 34-36 psi. My best time was a 9.56 @ 155 mph. It would spin both front tires at 80 MPH in 4th gear. I have a BMW 135i now...
@@omd_sd I know that I would be pumped with the turbo Beams in such a cool old iconic car such as the Biturbo.
Idk, the 3sge is still a great platform. Once forged they can make some decent power, we have Altezzas making over 600hp here in New Zealand. They sound insane with the rev limit raised.
The stock v6 that came in these cars has no major faults, all aluminum construction, 3 valve heads and internals are easily good for 3 -400 hp no problem. The later 4 valve engines can make serious power. I wouldn't go to the trouble of swapping in a v6 from a Korean car when you have a really beautifully designed Italian engine that came stock. (Complete ground up design btw, don't let someone fool you saying this a merak engine with turbos) Atleast this 4 cylinder swap is something different/ unique.
Your work is phenomenal as ever! That's a lot of work but the end product will be worth the effort
Thank you!! We can't wait for it!
Took me some days to look at the entire thing
It was shocking to know that this engine was in a mini metro group B car.
For such a svelte looking car it tickles me to see so many parts taken straight from the parts bin 😂 Growing up in Coventry the Jag plant was literally next door to me ☺️
Outstanding job guys. That's a real old school supercar.
Amazing project 🎉 very Amazing but now a Big question how much did this setup cost the car,the Hayabusa engine $$$
Not that much, but it required a lot of time and special 1-off parts.
@omd_sd can you do that set up on my 1984 Suzuki Samurai
Jag-u-r!!!
Those wheels are completely wrong. I see that they are inspired by the originals, but they don't look right at all, and are the wrong diameter. I love the tan leather interior and the burgundy red exterior. The rest of the mechanical "upgrades" are great. I wonder how it affects the value. To bad that the XJ220 didn't get the V12 from the show car, that it was supposed to get. The best XJ220 was the XJ220 "S" made by TWR. Jeremy Clarkson drove a yellow one on Top Gear. The XJR15 (made by Jaguar Sport) was the car that the XJ220 should have been from the start. Thanks.
The most beautiful supercar ever made.
For those that don't know, the rear lights on the X220 where borrowed from the Rover 200. And are exactly the same..😉
Are these wheels 4x100mm or 4x98mm PDC?
4x98. Gotta love the Italians changing it up lol
That thing is GORGEOUS!
Been lucky enough to see two of these on the road where I live. A silver one and a green one with gold bbs alloys
