Your car can remain in the EU under the temporary admission procedure for up to 6 months
Challenging for sure
Not worth it. I did this 10 January 2025. Should have taken a plane.
How it is cheap. I ordered trailer some 20 years ago and shipping was about 1000USD for one container. Then the broker fees etc. I can' imagine now, they will probably not let register with all tail lights, regulations etc. It was very long wait - about a month. They had to offload and onload that container in their own order etc. Then it was on a smaller vessel and then finally on the container track to the yard.
More content coming from Rovaniemi?
No sponsorship from VR? That's a bummer!
No sponsorship 🤷♀️ Enjoyed the experience and would use VR again.
Second floor cabins would have also included a bathroom. It is more convenient to book second floor cabin if you tend to wake up in the middle of the night and have that urge of using the bathroom.
Great tip. 🙌
As a Finn ain't worth it it's cheaper to fly and it doesn't take 12 hours😅
I agree 😅 We’ve never taken an overnight train before and figured this would be great to see how we liked it.
High season prices are... High. But if you book early it's cheap. You can also save a hotel night if you take the overnight train so it can be worth it to pay more for the train instead of flying.
@lbh704 for family it's an adventure 😃 but I have travelled that trip for work so the time flight is 1- 1,1/2h. And train cost like 70-120€ oneway and when I book my flight it's like 80-120€ to and back
@@laurikoivumaki1471 But night train saves you the cost of a hotel room for the night too, many people just compare flight cost&time, when this 12 hours you'd mostly be asleep anyway :)
@ainomatin so if I stay one night more it's like 100-120€ so you still got it cheaper than train ticket plus you can see the wonderland with more time
Greetings from Finland. Going by train, its easy and comfortable. You should take a car, you would see so much more. Anytime, if you come back, we can drive together 😊
Thanks for sharing! Train travel is great, but love driving because you’re right. You can see so much more 💜
You can also take a car in the train.
That husband is a liability. Thank god for the woman. She makes a better husband.
Note that VR train ticket prices vary based on how early or late you book and how much demand there is for that particular departure. And in case of the night trains, the sleeper cars are often sold out during the more popular travel times (and possibly well in advance!).
💯 We did go in high season. Thank you for adding that detail to the comments!
Love it! Looks like it was fun!! 😂
You'd know 😂😂
Taking this overnight train has been on my bucket list for a while - so exciting to finally experience it with my family! If you have questions about the overnight train or want to share your own experience, drop them below 🚂✨
Can i ship my Harley Davidson on Roll on Roll off ?
Yes, you can ship a Harley using RoRo! It’s pretty straightforward-just make sure it’s clean, has a bit of fuel, and I’m sure personal items wouldn’t be allowed, like when we shipped our car. Hope that helps! 😊
did yall drive around with US plates the whole time?
Sure did 😊
Thank you very much guys this video helps me so much 😉😎✌🏻
Amazing video.. how old is your baby? I am planning a trip with my 1 year old who is born in south of France. Is it even recommended? Thanks in advance..
Thank you. Glad it was helpful. She was almost 2 at the time of the trip. Traveling with a young one is totally up to you. Coming from me, I think it’s great to travel with very young kids because for one it helps us parents form new travel habits. Secondly, if done often enough, travel can be a part of a child’s “norm.” Our daughter has been on four international trips and now she’s a champ. 🤗
Why did she go outside
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Don't the cars in the UK have the steering wheel on the right?
Hai Tiny..so amazing trip and castle.. I have plan to visit the castle on December..but i check in website Neuschwanstein castle is closed on the date i will visit. Do you know, when i still visit when visit Neuschwanstein, are i can explore castle for outside only? Thanks you
i’m thinking to send my car to potrugal next year and then drive it to bosnia
It's funny how international insurance card has three languages. Of course first is Russian, second English then French. This shows who most important in Europe is.
Very informational but you two are super annoying.
Wonderful, I love tiny houses, have one of my own! So happy for you that the storm shifted!😊
Love hearing from other tiny house dwellers 🤗
Well why wouldn't you hook up and leave ?
❤relief! I was worried about you guys! ❤❤❤🙏
You’re lucky that’s all that happened how dumb is it to park them directly under big oaks knowing a storm is coming. Why not just move them away from the large trees and not risk it
They commented on their last video they don't have a truck anymore - which is how they moved the tiny homes. No truck, no wheel chucks, parked under trees... But ig it worked in the end
There's also large trees everywhere on the property. The tree cover also absorbs a lot of the wind and force, therefore taking more damage than the homes themselves. Of course the health and weight distribution of trees on your property also make a difference as well.
So happy to see your lil homes are okay
Yay 🎉 so glad nothing bad happened to your lil home.
Perfect 🤎🤎🤎
best wishes <3
I hope it's all ok
Hope it stays safe❤❤
How did you manage? I’m in Port St. Lucie and the tornados we got did so much damage. Did up house hold up?
We were fortunate. The tiny houses stood strong. I am so sorry about what happened in Port St. Lucie. My heart goes out to you all. That was crazy how many tornadoes spawned in that area. 😢
@@TinyLivingBigAdventure yes fort pierce got it so bad. We had a tornado touch down the next neighborhood over and another 2 blocks away. I’m glad your home made it through!
Stay safe guys
How is everything?
They probably haven't been back yet. It hasn't been a day yet 😴
We just made it back. We were fortunate. No damage to the tiny house 🙏 So much debris around the houses and a few trees fell on the property. Grateful. But my heart goes out to those who were less fortunate. 😢
Praying your homes are safe 🙏🎉
Did you moor them to anything? Why not prevent them tipping or rolling off into the distance?
What the heck is it on wheels for?? 😂
Bruh
Some city’s won’t let you build “permanent” structures on your property without going through 10’s of thousands in rezoning or flood or any amount of code issues. Building a shed or a home or a greenhouse on a trailer can instantly solve that issue. Also could be on wheels because that’s not their property and they just bring tiny home from lot to lot traveling.
@@ChicoryPlumI don't think that's what they're getting at.. they could MOVE them.
@@autumnrynNot really.. putting that on the road during a hurricane is actually dangerous. It's more likely to fly off and cause a flip or add debris to the roads and also adds congestion
I mean you're meant to leave before it hits. Don't think under trees is a safe bet either @@poafm6529
Did they make it 🥺
We just got back and I’m happy to report we have no damage to the tiny houses. 🙏 We do have tons of debris around the houses and a few trees fell on the property. We were fortunate. There were so many less fortunate that my heart goes out to. Especially the areas that got hit by a crazy amount of tornadoes. 😢
Praying for a safe return to your homes, be safe
What are you going to do? Is it safe in your little house😢
We didn’t want to risk it. In the event of a tornado, we don’t have a safe room. We have family that lives close who have a block home. We decided to stay there ❤️
Whats preventing you from digging trenching and using tires to build earth ship/walls to mitogate the wind and water damage around your home? I mean to late now… and I get it if ya dont own the land. Food for thought.
That is food for thought. Fortunately, we’re not in a flood zone. The land is one of the highest points in central Florida. But yeah, the one thing we can’t control is a tree falling. These storms are so unpredictable. Now that tire idea is sounding pretty cool 😅
@@TinyLivingBigAdventure you can also use tree limbs and wood in Hügelkultur. Create Earth mounds like the natives did. There was a reason the did it, elevate your high ground, gorw food, sequester organic matter, water…😅
But your house has wheels.
Unfortunately, we don’t have our truck anymore. If so, we’d have to choose which tiny house to save 😅
@TinyLivingBigAdventure will it stay put or get blown?
Good luck be safe 🙏🏻
Thankyou for making this video 😁, we're planning on taking our dogs on this one day. We're a little nervous though because they have never been in a kennels before at all, let a lone one on a cruise ship haha. Would you say they are accommodating to anxious dogs?
I’m so glad it was helpful! From my experience, I think they’d accommodate well. It was our dog’s first time in a kennel, and she seemed really relaxed. They also gave us plenty of time for visits, which was great! 😊
why did not you leave the car in europe. Give it as a donation or somthing.?
Europe has insanely good public transport, I don’t see the point in driving everywhere
How you get from usa to Europe?
