Thanks Kerry 🙏 In the not too distant past a patient came for a consult (new patient) after having been prescribed a herbal compound (tablet) by their GP. The herbs did not work. After a thorough health history and symptom check, I concluded that the herbs prescribed by the doctor were not suitable for the patient's health condition. From what the patient told me the GP had no training in herbal med, but had had interactions with a sales rep (not Integria) who suggested different compound herbs for 'common' medical problems. While it's encouraging to see GPs in favour of herbs, I'd prefer them to stay in their lane and do what they do best.

In 2010 an interesting study was reported In Genes and Cancer ("Andrographolide, an Herbal Medicine, Inhibits Interleukin-6 Expression and Suppresses Prostate Cancer Cell Growth," DOI: 10.1177/1947601910383416). Are you aware of any advances in the use of Andrographis in treating prostate cancer?
There have been a few more studies showing inhibition of prostate cancer cell growth. But this is test tube research and does not really inform clinical choices in my view. Hence we await clinical trials for Andrographis in this condition.
