Hello! I just discovered your channel, I'm not aware of what's happening in the vocal synth community since I'm just doing my things for myself not even sharing everything on social media. Whatever I just wanted to say that I think that this video is quite impressive ! I never thought that japanese voicebanks could sing in english this well ! If you still have the ust and would like to share it I'd be very happy with that. But if you can't or don't want to it's completely understandable. "caught it" can be "ko de", or "ka o re" depending on the accent. "ka te" is wrong

usually with english covers i have to look at the lyrics to process what the loid in saying. otherwise it all sounds like noise. with this cover though, the words are very well unenciated. nice

3:23 Normally your would use that でぃどゆふぉおる ふろむえしゅうてぃんぐすたあ. It just works better. The point is. If you master Hiragana, you can make Japanese voicebanks sing in English. Just don't expect it to be perfect English

"did you" can also be "di chu" or "de chu" idk

Note: For certain accents, you can shorten that "Did you" into "デ-ジュ" (de-ju) instead of "デ-ディ-ユ" (de-di-yu)

The "au" in caught isn't a dipthong. In X-sampa, it's represented with an O, Arpa with an ao, and in CZ, it's a 9. According to vocaloid, that's the same phoneme as the Japanese O.

[Did][you][fall][from][a][shoot][ing][star] [- de][e ju][u fo][o ru][- fu][- ra][a ma][a shu][u ri][i n][n su][- ta] (That is how I do Engrish. J is a good for dy transitions, the aw sound is represented with the same phonememe as the Japanese O, the ng sound isn't a cc transition (represented by N in X-sampa), and the Japanese R is pronounced like the English 4 (or a softer t))

Tip for when you need two consonants together: Let's use the example of "sickly." It would be written as "せ　く　り“ in CV hiragana or "se ku ri" in CV romaji. Now here's the trick: set "く" or "ku" to BRE100 so you won't be able to hear the vowel, and it will sound like a pure consonant. To make it smoother, set the overlap to 50 or higher and edit the envelopes to fade in more subtly.

here are some of my own tips!: - use f/v for th/dh sounds if you can. otherwise, using s/z is fine! - you can use う or ん with g25 to g75 flag to make it sound like an English R. (it's easier if you make your own custom CVVC samples like that and add them to the vb for later) - for diphthongs, set the second vowel to 0 consonant velocity (for example, [- a][a i], set [a i] to 0 velocity) - use a low consonant velocity on ra/ri/ru/re/ro for English Ls some replacements for vowels!: (i'll use CZ/VCCV phonemes to romaji) a = a e = e i = e o = u u = a A = e i E = i I = a i O = o u 1 = i 3 = a u (or) e u 6 = u 8 = a u 9 = o a 0 = o @ = e a & = e a

oh yeah this songs my jam (Its my first time using utau I have no idea what im doing XD (later ) omg it worked i was able to make defoko say "hi I defoko " ( spelled like this ha i I de ha ko
