Cute and Easy (and strong) DIY Floating Bench HOW TO
We made this trendy floating bench with brackets from Right On Bracket that secure straight into the studs - it's a really strong bench now! We wrapped it in white oak and it really wasn't that bad to make. In this video I'll show you the schematic we used, how we made this bench SUPER strong, and what we used to make it. One of my biggest concern is how much weight can this bench support? Don’t want my guests to break the bench or break their backs when sitting on it

I have the same questions as Kevin.... Wondering if you mitered the trim pieces of wood or if there is plywood laminations showing a little on the top of the bench from the sides of the long and short trim pieces?

I will be doing this same thing..Did you also attach the bench 2x4 frame to the wall studs or only through the single hole on the brackets?
Did you remove all the drywall or just the measurements of your bench
How deep is your bench and how long are the brackets? Thanks!
It should be 18" deep and 18" tall including the cushion so you'll need to lower your brackets to give room to the rest. that's a good question so I figure the longest bracket they have since it's a 18"deep

Great floating bench. Looks fantastic! Going to be doing the same thing in my kitchen. Wondering if you mitered the trim pieces of wood or if there is plywood laminations showing a little on the top of the bench from the sides of the long and short trim pieces?
What kind of "thin wood strips" did you use to secure in place? How thick did you cut those strips down to? I'm unable to get anything less than a cm without it splitting!

The set up for the rabbit is backwards. Use a sacrificial or split adjustable fence so the rabbit is on the inside and a feather board to hold the work against the fence. This protects the fingers and uses the correct cutting edge of the router bit. Biscuit or lap joinery works well if you aren’t into mortise and tenons.

Looks great! We are doing a similar project in our house. What size bench is yours? Ours is 6feet...wondering if 4 brackets will be enough?
ours is 7ft, and yes, 4 feels really strong! each bracket can hold up to 250 lbs =)
How do you choose the bracket side? If i'm doing a 6 feet long bench, can I use 2 right side and 2 left side brackets, or they all can be either right side or left? Thanks. Great video by the way. I'm trying to do something similar.
