I'm 24 and I found my beautiful 75 years old boyfriend on silverdaddies. I still kinda hear his texts like his voice 😊
Its not too far from Slab City
All the farm pesticides from the surrounding area poisoned the sea
@@corilia9529 That’s so sad.
I would not swim in the Salton Sea...
Lol, you definitely captured the creepiness without music! 😲 The funny thing is, back of the 1960s the salt and sea was one of the most popular vacation destinations in California. There was a beautiful yacht club and everyone here had boats, and we used to go boating and swimming and fishing. It was really really nice. It’s so sad to see what’s happened to it over the years. I think it’s now about half the size that used to be. It just keeps evaporating and getting saltier un saltier and most if not all of the fish have died because of the salt in the water. A few times a year, the smell gets so bad that we can smell it all the way to Palm Springs. You probably smelled it and didn’t even know what that awful smell was. 😲
I was waiting for a guy with a chainsaw to come out from nowhere. LOLOL. Thanks Steve.
Definitely looks like the setting for a horror flick! That was a "son of a beach" that you couldn't find the sea :)
It really is eerie. Thanks for watching.
Love you guys! I wish we could meet in person. So refreshing to know there are actually REAL people in this world.
What kind words. Thank you so much for watchng.
Hello Gary and Phil, How are the two of you doing today?
@@tomhaywood8619 Hello Tom. We are very well, thank you for asking. Hope all is well with you as well.
So good to hear that you both are doing well. My husband Paul and I just celebrated 26yrs together! I see you two and it warms our hearts to watch you both for your love to each other is extremely apparent! Here's to MANY more years of togetherness! 🎊
@@tomhaywood8619 Congratulations on your anniversary. Such kind words. Thank you.
You guys will never know what an impact you have made on me!!! I wish there was a way that we could talk. Privately. You 2 have really touched my soul. Is there a way that we could chat or talk where everyone would not be listening in? If you know a way please contact me!!!
Thank you for the kind words. Also, thanks for watching.
Darn, I missed you guys by a day. I was there yesterday filming. These days are cross. 🤞 I was sad when I heard this artist rainbow Popsicles that he had there for the last couple years were gone. They were so beautiful. But I think I like these celebrity murals even more. Nice to see you guys out and about! 😎👍
Hi Steve.. I just thought this was so cool when we saw the segment on the news that we had to make a special trip. Thanks for all your support.
Thx for the trip down Memory Lane. My era! 😃
You're welcome. It was a little nostalgic for us as well. Thanks for watching.
Brilliant----------never would have known about this otherwise. Made my day. Thanks!
You're more than welcome. It was fun. Thanks for watching.
Well, I definitely remember all of them too! Loved Frank Sinatra's mail with the letter from Lana and the lipstick on it...and Sammy Davis Jr. with all of the candy for his hit song "The Candyman". Such a fun art installation :)
@@TakeTimeToTravel It really is a clever idea. Thanks for your support guys.
I need a new mailbox, and I'd like Liberace mailbox. As a real mailbox. With his photo and everything, now this would be groovy!
LOL. It would at that. Thanks for watching.
if I may ask do you have any social media account to support your content ?
@@Yanis.CHERIFI Hi Yanis. No we don’t have any social media accounts.
@@garyphil5432oh , it's ok . happy to see you doing fine . have a nice day
Lol, yes, I do things like that all the time! 🤪 sounds like you would’ve needed a new iPad soon anyway, so at least it worked out for the best and now you can consider it an early Christmas present to yourself! 😄👍
Hi Steve. You're right. I had been thinking about getting a new one but I couldn't let go of the money without claw marks. LOL. Thanks for watching.
Phil, my devices always make me look foolish. I surrendered a long time ago. 6 years is a long time for an iPad, I’d keep the newbie. And BTW, that shirt is terrific!
LOL. Thanks for sharing. And for looking foolish and the shirt: I'm going to have to do some research on the camera (which I don't use often) I shot this on. The lettering on the shirt is backwards and I don't know how to shut off mirroring. Thanks for watching.
Thank you for sharing. And, thank you for watching.
Next time get a Chromebook, and a tip, never ever safe anything on any computer/laptop. Use an external drive, that way if your device goes kaput you can still get at your documents through the external drive. I don't use laptops or tablets anymore; I bought a desktop. I don't need to travel with my computer anywhere. That way if one part goes bad, I can replace it, not the whole device at once. I had a laptop before my desktop, and I spilled some water on the keyboard and that killed it, and it was only a few years old. It can happen to anyone regardless of age, I'm 63. When I deleted my laptop, I was in my early 50s. And anything Apple is twice as expensive as other computers and so is the software that runs on an Apple. If you have specialized software, use a windows computer. You can run Office online with any computer Apple/Windows/Chromebook. Good luck handsome, wink.
Thanks for the advice. Gary always makes fun of me and my "Apple Eco System". He's a die hard Windows user. Thanks for watching.
Don't feel too bad...I knocked a full cup of coffee over the keyboard of my MacBook Pro Max. Like yours, it was also about six or seven years old but did everything I need it to. The bloody thing worked for about an hour giving me false hope and then went completely dead. Even at 65 I live and learn.<G>
Oh no. Hope everything worked out. Thanks so much for watching.
I like both of you
Thank you.
Can i join you in fun

@@RogerBennett-e5m Hi. Thanks for watching.
hi do you haveyour social media accounts or email?
Hi. Our email is; garyphil1950@gmail.com.
Hi guy, when I was a kid, back in the 1960s, I used to go up there all the time with my family. We fished in that pond. It was called a trout farm and we used to catch trout all the time. I haven’t been there in years. Nice to see it again. It’s so beautiful. Glad you guys had a great day up there. 😄👍
Hi Steve. Glad you're feeling better. It really is a beautiful place. Thanks for watching.
What a beautiful spot! Great photos Gary :)
It's really beautiful. Thanks so much for watching us guys.
Thanks so much for your support.
Hi guys, thanks for the review and the heads up. I will probably pass on that one. LGBTQ movies are my favorite, but sadly there are a lot of low budget stinkers. 🙃 We haven’t been to that festival in a few years, but we saw Australian movie that was super high budget and one of the best gay movies I’ve ever seen. Unfortunately, I’ve never been able to find online to stream and watch it again. 🙁 And I agree, the experience makes it worth attending, even if the movies not the greatest. 😄👍
Hi Steve. Glad to hear you're feeling better. Thanks for watching.
Haven't seen you guys in a while, missed your videos.

I'm so very happy for you now that you have some family in your life. It is so lovely for you to know that they accept and love you for who you are.
Thank you and thanks for watching.
Thanks for sharing that story of a part of your life. It made me think of a quote, which I couldn't remember so I had to look it up. "You can't go back and change the beginning, but you can start where you are and change the ending". You and your family have made a great start on that change! Regards, Tom and Mike.
Thanks so much guys.
Hi Gary, thanks for sharing that very moving story and experience with us. I’m glad your mom eventually came around and that your niece and her family are so accepting. It’s nice to know that some things do actually changed with time. I kept hoping you would mention if your niece and her family were Republicans or Democrats. If they are Democrats, then it’s not that surprising that they would be accepting. If they are Republicans then that’s even more amazing. Very, very happy for you! 😊👍
Hi Steve. Thanks for the kind words. I'm not sure what their political view is, but I'd almost bet they're Republican. Thanks again.
Thanks for sharing Gary. I did similar distancing from friends and family before coming out at 30! Now 77, I see it wasn’t really necessary, but it’s all part of the process, isn’t it? Enjoyed this.
Thank you. And thanks for sharing.
We all have various stories and I think it's not always justified to realize his come out with everybody it dépends of the relation we have each others and if we want to take the risk to cut a relation or not . For my part I was born in 1958 in Paris France and I didn't do myself my come out but I was outing in 1978 to my mother and it always be difficult till her death in 2015. She always had bad health and I had to help her and could n t quit her and leave her away it was very difficult because all life she always think I could change and it was also very difficult for my friend too (died on 2002) she knew his existence from 1978 but it was unbelievable she could meet her and he always felt like backstreet. My father never knew and no problem with my brother younger than me Who went on Holidays with me and my friend. With other people in my life or associative life(trade union) or on my work(I worked on french Railways) some knew the ones I was more closer because if you live near others we could n t hide our private life some not. Congratulations because it s not easy after decades to reconsider our previous judgments and maybe we were wrong or had bad appreciations. Happy for you for this happy end Take care and best wishes for twice.
thanks for sharing such a nice and lovely video 😀😀😀😀😀😀

That's so awesome! Congratulations and thanks for watching.
My husband and I were together for 53 years, unfortunately he passed in 2012 from leukemia. A year later I met Dennis, we married a year later. Dennis passed from a major stroke in 2020. I was alone again for a year, I’m watching TV one night when The phone rang, it was a gentleman calling because he liked what I was writing on Facebook, we spoke for about an hour then rang off. The next day he called again, told me he enjoyed our conversation the night before, from that day forward, we spoke every day sometime for 5 hours. Covid restricted us, I couldn’t fly to see him and he had the same problem. One day he phoned and told me he had reservations to finally out and come and see me. He arrived from Australia in October 2021 and ran down the stairs at the airport into my arms. We decided we could never be apart again, we married on January 7th 2022. My Raymond from Australia was married for 37 years and has two grown up boys.
Thank you for sharing. I hope some of our younger viewers see your post. It's truly inspiring. Thank you for watching.
