@@RyanCS10 Thank you bro you don't know much that means to me
What's your height?
I am 5’10’’
@@RyanCS10 ah okay, I didn't think you mentioned in the video i watched. Glad to see you're obsessed with dunking and training everyday. I subscribed to your channel and hope to see you eastbay dunk someday!
How tall are you
5’10’’ Thanks for watching!
What your standing reach bro?
I wish I knew. I should measure that. I can tell you I’m 5’10’’. probably average standing reach for my height.
@@RyanCS10 u can easily measure by just putting an inch ruler against ur wall and reaching :)
Hi, I've been watching for a little while now and I just wanted to ask if you can mentor me. I like the energy you give off in your videos and the goals you're trying to accomplish. I'm a 15 6'1.5 Basketball Player aspiring to go D2+ and record my journey and goals with a positive attitude while doing what I have to do to get where I want to be. Just let me know how you feel about it I'm open to whatever.
First off, thanks for watching and I appreciate you asking! Secondly, I would love to help you out with your goals! I will start either a Discord server or a Subreddit so anyone who wants can join in and help each other! I’ll respond here once I have that set up, and I’ll mention it in my next video! Glad you reached out!
@@RyanCS10 Appreciate it!
Yes a new video we love to see the grind
Thanks for watching!
@@RyanCS10 you know i will keep watching im training to dunk as well
That’s awesome to hear! Keep me posted how it goes for you!

What a responsibility…
you should try gettin silly w the jump rope
I have considered this. 45 minute jump rope vlog coming soon.
You should mix in some barbell front squats on your leg days. They keep your core engaged a lot more than back squatting so can be great for your lower back as well!
Thanks for the tip Jack! Do you ever elevate your heals (like stand on a slant board) when doing front squats?
@@RyanCS10 you can definitely do that and it’ll engage your quads more!
Awesome! Good to know!
Nice strategy of a no skip week to get it going again.
Thank you!
keep it up boss
Thank you! Will do!
I’m trying to dunk to so what is the best way to do that
I would say the two most important things are 1) avoid injury and 2) stay consistent. It has taken 8 months of consistent training to get to where I am. This video shows my workout routine that I have revised over the last 8 months.
Glad you are training to dunk! Keep it up!
Gonna set up a Discord server or a Subreddit page for open discussion on training to dunk and related things. I’ll mention it in my next video!
good dunks bro👍👌
Thank you!
you're pretty much there man you just gotta work on trying to push the ball through the rim rather than into the rim and grabbing it
Yes, I think you're right. Thanks for the tip!
UNDERRATED!
Thank you!!!
Huge tip my guy: Never slow down when you go to jump. Always speed up. You can practice like 3 steps/ 3 fast steps and explode into the jump but speed up as you jump!!! 💯
That is great advice. I feel like I have been slowing down on my approach, maybe because I am focusing on footwork. But I agree with you, I should try to explode into the jump. Thank you!
How tall are you?
I am 5'10''
@@RyanCS10 sheeesh you got some nice bounce! I can’t wait for more update
@@khangbanger Thank you, I appreciate that!
if you haven't check out How to Dunk? PRO Dunker Tips. from Miller Dunks, I think his videos would help, I would advise you to check out kneesovertoes guy and one little tip when dunking with 2 hands, try to hold the ball with the tip of your fingers. Good luck with your training
Hey man, really loved the vid, can you please tell me how you’ve come this far?
First off, thank you for watching, I'm glad you enjoyed the video! If you are asking how I have come this far in my dunk progress, I am actually working on a video right now where I take you through my week of training. I am excited to share, so be on the look out for that. I think it will better show how I have come this far than I would be able to explain here. Thanks again for watching!
back in my teens i remember my first time dunking on 9ft 6 i was pretty hyped up being only 5ft5 i was on my way to dunking on 10 ft ….after high school my interests changed to djing so all my jump progress as a kid went away .. i never quite dunked on 10 ft but man i came close… enjoy the process
Thank you for sharing! I appreciate that! Thanks for watching!
great progress man! keep going!
Thank you, I appreciate that!
Well your certainly getting there . Your general technique is good . Its your none jumping leg causing the problems as you mentioned. Because it flares out its causing rotation and bad landing on one foot . Should always land on two . You do frust your knee up on your none jump leg which is good but then is flares . I had put a clip of me dunking a year or so ago and at the end of the vid theres a slow mo so you can see my none jump leg and how i move it back for landing . Keep jumping the dunk is close . Andy, thank you for the tips! Everything you said makes sense, and yes, I feel like I am close.

YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO GOOD JOB, I thought you gave up bro good stuff
Thank you!!! Not giving up, I am dedicated to eating one egg a day
You got this King👑
Thank you for the encouragement! And thanks for watching!
I saw a video that said u wanna think of u putting the ball thru the rim rather than grabbing the rim. Weird as it sounds it helped me get off dribble dunks
Just from reading that, it makes a lot of sense. I will remember that next time I am trying to dunk. Thank you for the advice!
@@RyanCS10 hell yea man keep at it
Jumps look very smooth and just natural!
Thank you Luke! In full-speed they look natural... a little different when you go frame-by-frame haha
Thought that was MJ from the thumbnail
I guess I am doing something right
have you thought about getting the shoes from like mike?
Found a pair online for $1,508 so I had to buy em... Shoe review video coming.
your progress is amazing! my baby daughter watched this video and dunked for the first time <3 also brisket marathon ASAP please
Wow, I am inspiring a generation. Brisket marathon happening this spring/summer.
you can touch rim easly where i need 4 more inches to touch it you have improved a lot 9,6 to 10,5 touch at least
Yeah, I would probably say I have increased my vertical by 4-5 inches in the last 8 months!
lets agooo new video

You should try out thp
Just googled it, I'll look into that!
im 13 5'9 and can grab the rim (10ft) is it good?
I think that is really good! You could be dunking in the next couple of years
Don’t get hurt. You have to learn some techniques about landing first. I was injured from practicing dunk due to bad landing form and consistently jumping without rest. Fortunately, after 8 months recovery and 4 months training, my vertical even getting improved than before. I am 35y and 5’10 only ,I can dunk 9’10 rim finally. by the way my son just 1y, dunk is really not easy for me.😭 Hope you getting better !
Thank you for the advice! My biggest goal is to not get injured (even if it takes longer to get to dunking). Glad you are recovered! I bet it is hard to do while having kids, good for you!
How tall are you
I am 5'10''
Keep grinding bro!
@@RyanCS10 I’m also 5 10 and thinking of doing this challenge too
@@emerolled you totally should! it's been fun for me. if you do, keep me posted on your progress!
Here are a fet tips: first, look up a one leg jump tutorial by iseah revera, hopefully I spelled his name right. Just note, the jump technique will work as much as you put work into it, you can potentially jump as much as 10 inches higher than your standing vert. Second, get bouncy shoes like wow 10s or li ning yushuai 18 ultra x, these will add around 3 inches to your vertical. Finally find a jump warm up to do before your sessions, this will add another inch or two.
Thank you for these tips! I appreciate it!
Bro keep posting
Thanks for watching! and that's my plan!

my pleasure! I too am training to dunk before I turn 30. Have 11.5 months left. I am doing mostly the kneesovertoesguy program and some plyometric exercises. Let's see who get there first 💪🏋️
@@dimeland2 lets go! that's awesome! good luck, and keep me updated.
already at 300
that's crazy!
I’m 5’6 at thirteen and I always see ppl dunk. After watching this and two months later from barely touching the net I can grab ten feet easily. Thanks for the motivation. I barely trained with weights and focused on 100m dash and technique.
That's amazing! Thank you for sharing your progress, keep it up! The sprinting helped a lot I bet! I actually just posted a video about sprinting.
If you work out for your vert, best exercise is to always jump to your max height for whatever type of plyometrics you're doing
Good piece of advice, I totally agree
