The only problem I also see in this theory is that the character broke out of the brain washing back to the lab which meant we would also have scenes before with Adler when we heard about the drug used on bell. This breaks the theory as forgetting who bell was failed with it and trying again would bring the memories back with Adler. But since they didn’t that meant it can’t be him due to how black ops Cold War showed bell gaining his past memories

I don’t think so as this happens after bell was exposed to the cradle again which made him more violent which no where else but there and in the end did we have that effects where we were told or wanted to murder someone so it’s the cradle not adler

Heres my issue with this theory: wouldn't this make Adler a part of or at least on some level afiliated with Pantheon? Which means he would have known who they were way before Hudson informed him of their presence within the CIA. If Adler actually brought in Bell to have the Cradle tested on him that would make Adler the real villain, no?

Treyarch honestly needs to drop the Black Ops series. It's been done to death. They've proved they don't have an ounce of creativity left and can't do anything but remaster content and re-use the same characters, over and over again. The same goes for the Modern Warfare series. It's just nostalgia bait at this point, it got really sad and pathetic after Cold War and MW'23, people really proved the point that nobody who buys Call of Duty games, cares about the quality of the content offered and don't want anything new because they don't know anything else. People are willing to shill out $80 every year to play the same three maps, just because it has "Black Ops" or "Modern Warfare" in the title. C'mon. Seven Black Ops games, not including World at War, knowing people will beg for an eighth game after number seven. They need to stop with the content recycling, stop doing annual releases, start extending the lifecycle of their future games and make something fresh. This franchise needs a restart, badly. I'd genuinely rather Ghosts 2, an Advanced Warfare prequel, or a remake of Infinite Warfare, than Black Ops 10 or Modern Warfare "4."
