West of Phoenix, Arizona. Just some motorcycle stuff, scenic rides, and whatever else I feel like posting.
I moved my Akita videos off this channel and to my second channel Akita Advocates. There's not a lot there, but I'll make more.

Chin Mounts Review

This is problem only with the AGV Tour Modular Chin Mount as far as I'm aware. The Chin Mount on my AGV Sport Modular is 100% Awesome. Chin Mounts, there's an opportunity for improvement.
Akita Rescue

I actually made this video several weeks ago, but never shared it. Rescuing abandoned Akita's has taken up most of my time over the past few years. I still ride, but I take care of our dogs in boarding as well as some that I've fostered. I have 3 of my own that were fosters that I kept because they never got adopted. If you were wondering what I've been doing, this is it. I know it's not exciti...

All 3 of the dogs in this video were/is a foster. The Black and white is Koda and is a foster that I've had since November. I will likely keep him, since he gets along with my other dogs. The others were foster fails too, as is my 14 year old that wasn't in the video. swatrescue.rescueme.org/

Yamaha put little to no lube in the rear suspension bearings. Luckily I discovered it before anything expensive happened. Ordered parts from partzilla.com. This is just a heads up, not a how to video.
Minor low side after low speed practice.

Just happy that it was in an empty parking lot and that I was in full gear. I see riders with no gear everywhere, but you'll never see me doing that. Nobody at fault but me...

Gear indicator switch / lesson learned
I’m very late to the party I know! Good vid ,enjoyed it👍🏻 what I will say regarding my experience with Moto Guzzi ,I used to see them all the time as I went zx6r,zx7r ,zrx1100,zrx1200r,z1000 then a few yams etc etc every time I saw one I thought, what a weird bike ,what a funny looking motor and as the years ticked on ,a k1300s a Suzuki and another yam (R1 5pw) I saw a Griso Tenni at a dealer around 100 miles from my home in England and I couldn’t stop looking at it ,it was a thing of beauty, anyway I pulled the pin and the rest is history ,they will pretty much outlast most bikes ,they are so easy to work on ,handle superbly and a clutch can easily do 6 figures if looked after and so easy to do valve clearances ,you can do them everyday on the side of the road if you want ! I’ve had the Griso ,a Cali custom 1400 and an mgx21 and I’m looking at this model Norge now ! I run an h2sx as my daily but the Guzzi itch is the one I cannot shake 👍🏻
Im looking at a modular helmet. On a sports bike they all seem too low and im looking through the top 20mm of the visor. Is the face opening on the sport modular higher than the tour modular. I use AGV corsa on track for the same reason, when tucked in the top of the visor is high.
I'm 5'9 and can flat foot it. My leg/torso proportion must be off. 😂
How many miles do you get on a full tank going around the city. I ride to New York from New Jersey almost every day and i only get 170 on a full tank, I wonder if anybody that owns this bike gets better gas mileage. That tank ring lock system was just what i needed bit of a pain to get since cortech don't make it anymore, thanks for the tips and from watching your videos i got the dynojet Power Vision 3 did see some improvement on the throttle but not on gas mileage.
can you listen to music with the insyde? is the sound quality good? I'm very interested in purchasing it but is it for voice only and doesn't have the sound quality for music? can you use it for Bluetooth phone calls? there's pretty much no reviews, thanks for making your video, great video!
The music quality is really good. I wear earplugs, but it's plenty loud enough, even at 80+ mph. Everything is voice activated. I've taken phone calls, completely hands free on the interstate and the caller didn't even know I was on my motorcycle. INSYDE isn't cheap, but it works as advertised.
does these two visor the same thing? I got a tourmodular but i can't get a GT5-2 visor in my region. i curious about it
No, the visors are different.
@@dogsnmotorcycles so tourmodular can't use sportmodular GT3 visor , right?
Thanks for the video. I checked my 2017 and it has newer plastic panels with the notches the notches already.
Micro USB charger? really? cant believe its not USB C.
Good videos. Fyi, that camera you mentioned that fits inside the helmet is likely Cambox. I tried it a few years ago and, aside from the discreet design, it is absolute garbage in every respect - the battery only lasted a useless 50mins at best and the unit had to be replaced 3x due to complete malfunction after a few months, but only after threats of legal action - the company has horrendous customer relations practices and resorts to all means to avoid responsibility, clearly very familiar with disgruntled customers.
Thanks, I'm liking my DJI Action 4 camera, I'll stick with that for now.
Nice, so you prefer the DJI to the Drift Ghost? Where have you mounted it? I’ve been using the Innov h5 for about a year, which has good battery life, but is not very discreet and turns itself off at times.
Can you please tell me part numbers for the side bags and rear morning plate with the bag
I love my Tourmodular. Like you, I've installed the Insyde system since I use Cardo's Packtalk Edge in my other lids. My only issue with the Insyde is that it is very inconsistent with the "Hey Cardo, music on or off" voice command. No matter where I position the mic, it doesn't pick up those commands well. All others are understood by the unit. I review products for Web Bike World so if you wish to read my review just search for the Tourmodular. I purchased my helmet through Champion Helmets and the cost was $649.30 INCLUDING the Insyde comm device. I purchased it on February 10, 2023. In addition to the review of the helmet and Insyde system I have mine custom painted. I live in the San Francisco/Bay Area.

I just carry the essentials 😂😂pulls out a gun..wow. that made me smile Sir. Thank you for you fantastic video on this bike and extras you have fitted. Due to this. I've just got a mt09 tracer 900 2017. Sending Love from the UK 😊
Thanks for the video.. and Chin mounts should attend to fix a product that should work well, why don’t they just 3D scan the helmet and then have a good minimum volume of contact on their mounts, but hey I guess it’s not their fault if our equipment flops around while we ride a motorcycle..
we need to arrange an across the country ride with our K9 friends. I'm from Boston who wants in.
I just got mine. 2018 and got a screaming deal of $3000 bucks. Only 1980 miles. Love the bike
I agree whit what you did ofter your experience..
thanks
What seat cushion apparatus did you got with ?
They make H7 bulbs that are the same size as the halogen oem bulbs and you don't have to remove the fairing...
Same bike? Im looking at a used one right now. What should i look out for?
I was thinking it would propably if i take it to the gym and on the lockers. So someone can take it but propably wont.
Wow!! Good to see you back on "Tube". Hope you are well.
What mileage do you have right now? Thank you for your video they are really helpful and informative.
Thanks bro i have a same problem on my Harley and I’m noticed today. Thank you.
Will the JBL speakers fit in the AGV Tourmodular with Cardo Insyde
They sure do and it's what I have installed. They sound great.
@@dogsnmotorcycles Thank you
This was basically a comms and camera review. It would've been nice to hear about your experience with the actual helmet itself!
I've reviewed the helmet.
Check out MCrider he reviews a helmet that has a built-in camera. He mentioned the camera is good, but he didn't seem to like with the communication system. "Forcite MK1S Smart Motorcycle Helmet"
I have the cases but I'm looking for the mounting plates on the passangers footrests. Do you maybe have a partnumber for me?
Thank you for this video, i sis not realise dyno jet had this. May get one soon.😊
I just got the exact helmet and insyde Bluetooth today. First helmet lasted a week and the internal sunglasses switch broke some AGV gave me a new helmet straight away. One question when charging its you turn the power on till the red light shops flashing?
Yep, Once the red light goes out, it's done charging.
Is the insyde pretty much like the cardo packtalk when it comes to DMC and connecting with other cardo packtalk riders?
It's 100% Cardo, but only fits this helmet.
@@dogsnmotorcycles Thanks. I'm thinking of getting one for my tourmodular
Pretty much what he was doing was wagging his finger at you for your speed. If he was going to pull you over, he would have been behind you. I know a lot of people won't believe me, but they would rather warn you and write you a ticked.
He liked the bike. It's a cool bike and he saw when he did a licence plate check it was all legal. IMO.
Hi, thanks for the video. Could you please inform the part number of R1 front sprocket you bought?
Someone just returned the Insyde you bought with the items they took out of their own TourModular. I own the Tourmodular and the Insyde comm unit. I enjoy both.
Very useful, I have same problem, will give it a try
My 2019 Mt-07 has 24,000 miles on it. I bought it brand new and have slowly watched almost every gear disappear from my dash lol. I only have Neutral and 5th gear visible. Seems to be a common problem.
I've not had the problem reoccur since replacing this part. It's been a few years now. I don't recall the part being very expensive.
They mention that the tourmodular weigh will be zero at 130 km/hr , did you notice that ?
Depends on his screen, I guess
You know what , idiot. I bet the only reason he hit the line the second time was because he was trying to keep an eye on you, because your so dam wishy.... As when you pulled in behind him it appeared that you were going to try and pass him again at the second merge... Your video acts as a double edge sword, because now we get to talk about you and your driving... And I hope your company sees this and that way they can know how much of an idiot you are out on the road... And by the way who is it that you drive for... I bet your so dam cowardly you won't even say... just keep on posting your bs... That way everyone can know what kind of idiots your company hires...
We can all see what you were doing, .... You had a little momentum and figured you try and pass him at the merge, even though you had a yield sighn ... With that being g said you would of probably taking your will even if it ment running him off the road... But you post that.... Pont being maid is that he was already ahead of you and and far enough on the turn that you should of just easily pulled in behind him... But your wishy self, as soon as you get a green you got to mash on it and try and make a pass.... I bet you would even went off on the shoulder to do it if you could... It's like when Nascar drops the flag at the beginning of a race your right there to rush up take the lead... You know what, you don't even belong in a truck... Your just wishy motorcyclists, and you drive like it to... Your weren't on your motorcycle, try and remember that the next time you step behind the wheel.... And it appeared you were going to try and pass him a second time at the second merge... Your just so mad you didn't get to make your wishy pass, and you got so mad you had to post it.... Well, guess what, your just snitching on yourself, You don't even belong in a truck... your a danger to society and everyone out there... They ought to take your license away boy.... watch, it's only be a matter of time before you end up in one big slop up.. and you know whatll happen is they end up go after you and your company.... I would say, they ought to get rid of you as quick as they can, just like a bad hand in a poker game... You need to get out of truck and just stick with your little bike...
Ua ya, as a matter of fact... you did try to go on the shoulder to try and pass him, but you couldn't... you ran out of road... See each time we go back to watch your video, we see more of you..
All I see is an incompetent knit picker. Big wow he hit the right side line... Its not like he went over the center divider... and you fail to realize he mKing a left turn so naturally hes goi g to swi g wide... He's not in a little Honda were he cant hug the inside line speding around at 35mph..
Where do you find a new oil pan for less than 100 bucks. All the ones I seen are 200 plus
Eggs were 90 cents a dozen six or seven years ago, gas was $1.80, McDonalds was affordable ..... Welcome to .... well you know.
Funny ass comment man. It would've helped if I had looked at the length of time ago it was uploaded haha
So, you can never exceed 15mph when filtering and you can only filter at stop lights (where all other vehicles in front of you have already come to a stop) or on a road with dead stopped traffic and a max speed limit of 45mph or less, which means no filtering (EVER!) if on a highway or freeway even if all car traffic is at a complete stop. It's better than no filtering law at all, but not much. Even in Kommiefornia we can lane-split on the freeways with slower moving traffic.
It's better than no filtering at all and I don't always filter at stop lights. I see bikers sometimes filtering slow or stopped traffic on freeways, even seen myself doing it occasionally.
Did your INSYDE comms system arrive. Is it good?
Yes, I finally got it. Can't say that it was easy to install, but it works well and looks really clean on my helmet.
That's a unique and very creative idea you thought of to try and get a little more space for your chin. Sounds like it wasn't the solution though if you shelved a $600 helmet and bought a new one. BTW, after the Iridium Silver came off the shield, were you left with light smoke or dark smoke when you compare it to your internal visors? I bought the same white with wide carbon fiber stripe in a size medium, my head measures 57mm for size reference, and it fit great. I have an intermediate oval head and a long face (think Dick Van Dyke, if you're old enough) with small features. I do not have big ears, a big nose or a big chin. The helmet fits fantastic, and I have no issues at all with ears or chin, but the internal drop-down visor and my nose.... not a good fit, literally. When I put the visor down, it hit my nose and pushed on it. It wasn't painful at all, but talk about a major nuisance! I knew the light smoke visor wasn't going to cut it, so I had ordered the dark smoke visor also when I ordered the helmet. When the light tint visor hit my nose, I knew the remedy.... I immediately went to the shed, grabbed the dremel and a barrel sander attachment, and proceeded to go to work on the new dark smoke visor. After 4 or 5 short sanding sessions and test fits, I ended up sanding out a triangle of plastic about 3/4" wide at the base and about 1" tall. I took off quite a bit more plastic than I thought it would need when I started, and my nose barely clears the visor now, but it clears and it looks great. FYI for anybody interested, these are all of the VLT tint percentages directly from AGV (not, "I saw it on a forum" somewhere). These are all the tint shades/colors they produce, but not all colors are available on all shield and/or visor models. Clear = 90% Clear + Pinlock = 80% Yellow = 90% Rainbow = 80% Blue = 50% Light Smoke = 50% Dark Smoke = 20% Iridium Blue = 10% Iridium Silver = 10% Iridium Gold = 10%
The iridium visor is dark tint after polishing off the mirror finish. I like how light the Sport Modular is and the chin bar is only irritating on longer rides. The Tour Modular is a lot quieter and just feels better to me. I'm keeping my Sport Modular as a spare.
What saddle bags are those? Nice bike!
where did you get the rachet helment lock
I found it on Amazon. Just search helmet ratchet. It was about $15
Is the visor on the tourmodular full smoke or 50% tint
There is a tinted 50%, but I opted for the smoke. It's dark but not overly dark. Not sure what percentage it is. I sometimes ride a little before sunrise with no problem.
Looks awesome I’m going to buy the same one. Did your insyde turn up. If it did do you recommend
I am from Germany and my last week ordered Tourmodular Balance did arrive today. My coulor is yellow/Black matte in Size XXL. I got it on Sale for 309,95 Euros, good Deal imho. I am very satisfied with my Choice for this amazing Helmet.
My 2019 Indian Chief Vintage has had a problem with the gear positioning switch from the day I bought it new, At first it was a recall item but now I have to spend money to get it continually serviced, Indian suggests having it serviced every 10,000 miles but it don't last that long, It works fine for about 2000 miles but then starts doing its old habits of not showing neutral and I have to put the kickstand up and hold the clutch in to start it and while riding it shows a gear that I am not in which is an annoyance, I love my Indian but I am not very happy with all this electrical computer crap they put on motorcycles these days, I guess it is just one of those things I will just have to live with.
