You never know what I could make next... even I don't really know. Stick around, because I might just make something that you'll be a fan of! Most of the time I'll make my own thing, but sometimes I'll make something from media with my own twist, or even take something I don't know anything about and completely wing it! I hope you like my stuff, because I appreciate every single one of you that enjoy the ride :)

How I made a Displacer Beast from DND : Sculpting Tutorial
This was such a fun watch, and I loved watching all the techniques being used! Major kudos sculpting the larva hive ground too, I respect the dedication 😄
Thank you so much!! Yeah I'm definitely glad I made the ground despite how annoying it was! 😅
Oh. My. God. WOW! Incredible - and you are incredibly skilled. Congratulations on such a cool sculpture. :)
😆Thank you so much!! So glad you like it! :D
I think this hobby is damaging your health with how frequently you hurt your hands =( If you're going for those longer sculpting sessions try taking little breaks and stretching your fingers and forearms every now and then I would say those are either eyes or pustules cause it sure looks a bit disgusting XD
Yeah it's a bit of a shame as it's my favourite thing to do, I've seen such an increase in joint pain lately, but soon I'll be getting it checked out and hopefully I'll get some help for it 😄! I've started taking more breaks during the day too- I have this mindset that if I take breaks then I'm being lazy, so hopefully it'll take me out of that sort of mindset too while also giving my joints time to relax 🤞 Yeah I'm still quite unsure, I've tried searching online but it seems like no-one really knows 😅 maybe one day we will get a definite answer! :-D
Love this. I don't play mobile or video games though so a lot of what RUclips sculptors make goes right over my head - Much like North of the Borders Terraria series. Have you ever considered buying little MDF bases to save on clay? Cheap as chips, I get mine for $2 a pop. MDF or XPS foam.
Glad you like it! 😄 Yeah fair enough, most of what he makes I don't really get references of too, especially terraria, despite how similar core keeper is to it! Ooh, I'll have a look into that! Would definitely save on clay...it sometimes takes almost a quarter of a block to do a base, or even more! Thanks for suggesting that, it'll definitely help! 😁
As a teddy bear myself, this scares me! 😂😂
🤣🤣🤣
This is so lovely! The symbolism also works really well :) Happy belated birthday! 🎉 Ps: I'm stealing "flimsy about" as it rather accurately describes me😂
Thank you so much!! So glad you like it! 😁 Haha, I do use some strange terms sometimes! 🤣
It may be too late for this now, but how about a zombified dinosaur? (Might be an excuse to make more skulls 😂)
Ooh, that sounds like an interesting idea! Anything "zombified" really is cool...I remember doing that zombified basilisk right back when I first started- it was so fun to make! And doing another skull does seem quite appealing...I'll add it to my list of thing I could do!! 😁
The most terrifying thing about it is the prospect of sculpting fur like that 🤣 Looks pretty cool. The eye falling off was a nice touch
Yeah it was pretty intimidating to do! 😂 Thank you, glad you like it! 😊
I really love the detail on their stuffing and fur 😊 the threads look so fiddly to do though
Thank you! They really were 😬
Such talent and skill 👍👍
Thank you!! 😁👍
These are so good! They are just the right amount of creepy :D And I enjoy your rambling, the way you talk through the process actually helps my ND brain understand the techniques you use :) P.S I cant help but think masks based on the chefs/guests from Little Nightmares would look amazing made this way
Thank you so much! 😁 Oh I'm really glad about that honestly, I always stress about talking nonsense, but I'm happy the way I go about my voice over helps!! Oh my gosh, I'm such a huge fan of little nightmares, I can't believe I've never thought to do something from it! Those chefs really are creepy... I'll definitely add it to my list of things to make! (◍•ᴗ•◍)
Only thing running through my head while I saw your video is how rich are you , cause I thought that foam clay is very very costly even by rich people standard . Am I wrong .maybe I am wrong in which case I am sorry.
Haha honestly it does cost quite a bit, but there are some cheaper brands that cut down on the quality but are still useable. I am definitely not rich, bit I did get a little more money recently so was able to buy some! 😁
Can you pls list the materials needed
Yup, they should be in the description 😁
Good job dealing with frustration. If I came back and saw that thing falling appart like you did I would spend at least 3 days looking at it hating my existence and wanting to smash it on the wall (and me from many years ago would actually do that 🤣) I won't pretend I know these characters, but I like it. The level of detail is pretty nice specially considering you were not using you preferred materials for this
Thank you!! Yeah honestly I was taking quite a few breaks on this one, and it was really rough trying to figure out how to both use the clay and how to fix it when it inevitably fell apart! Also I don't blame you for not knowing the characters...I only watched Beetlejuice for the first time a few weeks ago despite it having been out since 1988! Thank you for your comments, I always look forward to reading stuff and seeing what people think about what I make! 😁
Cate ! their creepy Cool, I'd love to see you make some videos with some original Halloween porch props for decorations maybe animatronic? Would be groovy
Ooh definitely a good idea, I'll keep that in mind when planning sculptures for this month! Doing some sort of animatronic would definitely be super cool! 😁
@@CateSculpts Excited for what your creative genius will come up with! Thank you so much for the kind reply, greatly appreciated!👈(゚ヮ゚👈)
You are very much welcome! Thanks for supporting me! (☞^o^) ☞
this is cool but a google before the voiceover was recorded wouldn't go a miss.
fair enough, honestly I just prefer saying whats on my mind and not having a script!
Its an lovely sculpture, love it.Well done. Btw Happy birthday
I'm so glad you like it! Thank you so much 😊
beautiful!!!
😊
I wouldn't say that's my usual thing but it turned out cool. Very colorful and the acorns were so cute. Reminded me of my friend that asked me to teach her how to sculpt, then I told her to start picking something she enjoy but it's also simple to make... She went with flowers
Thank you! Glad you can appreciate it even if it's not really your thing 😊 That's very sweet! It's always good to make something you'd enjoy making- it definitely boosts motivation for projects, too! 😄
Happy birthday!
Thank you so much! 😊
I love the sculpt! It is so beautiful and makes me wish, as a writer, my art was with clay as well as words. Also, as a writer, I am curious about the story behind the vines wrapped around the squirrel's paw. In my mind the spirit of the fox is controlling the vines to trap the squirrel as punishment for disturbing the skull.... but maybe that is too dark and you have a lighter idea? 😊
Wow, I love your interpretation of it! Honestly, it's definitely not too dark...a lot of my stuff in my mind has dark undertones and it's definitely fitting! I was trying to give some sort of reason for it, and the only thing I really could think of was that the squirrel was the one connected to nature so could use the vines to help it get around, and stuffed the fox's skull with it's acorns as a way to get back at the fox for being it's predator! I'm so glad you like it 😄🐿️
@@CateSculpts I love that idea as well! Either a squirrel with nature powers or a fox spirit with nature powers. Or maybe both and the flowers are the squirrels way of taking back control of the vines from the fox. Coming up with stories is so fun!
@@sarahkwast1250 😄 I agree, there's infinite possibilities when coming up with stories! 🤗

it looks so good!! the painting specially looks just like in the show!
Thank you so much!!! I'm so glad you like it 😁
I'll made this from ferroconcrete
Nice!!
Why don’t I see more people doing this?
haha I know right! It was really simple to make so it's quite surprising honestly
Hey I enjoy your videos....for the tail frills I wanted to add that cos clay does Translucent clay that could have worked.
Glad you like my videos! From what I've seen, translucent clay definitely looks like it could work well for creating the translucent look axolotls have, especially on their tails! I'm not sure if it's bendable like cosclay, though. I've never used it before, but I might explore it in the future :)
@@CateSculpts that's what i am saying. cosclay does a translucent clay, does it not still hold cosclay rubber properties?I subbed btw.
so i did a little quick research and found the packaging for cosclay translucent, and on the packaging it says "the fantastic flexible plastic" like the regular cosclay i have - so I think it's still flexible and can bend like the one i used! Thanks for subscribing 😁
Awwww, super adorable!!! I hope it was a great Anniversary, and also that your teeth are feeling better now! 😬
So glad you like it! Thank you so much, we did have a great time!! And my teeth are slowly but surely doing better 😂😁
Me for years trying my best to like luvdisc: 😖 I mean, yours are cute, specially together, but it's such a lackluster pokemon In a bit of a tangent Cate, got a suggestion for you. There's a youtube collab going on again this year called Monster Bash. It's in its 6th iteration and it's being organized by the guy from "Conjured craft". My suggestion is for you to look at it and maybe hit him up about partaking in it. You basically draw 6 "part" cards from a deck made by the other participants and use them as inspiration to come up with a monster design. I feel like it's up your alley and a good opportunity to bring new eyes into your channel being part of the playlist in this collab. The videos will then all be posted on Oct 31. I know you may feel a bit weird about it but he seems like a very chill dude The deck of cards this year is pretty weird and I'm curious to see what you would come up with. No pressure though, just an idea that popped into my head right now.
Oh I completely agree! I just decided to make luvdisc as it's pretty simple and quick, since I'm in the middle of a much bigger sculpture right now! Would definitely like to make a "cooler" Pokémon in the future Oh wow, that sounds pretty interesting honestly! I'll definitely have a good look into it- I think I've heard a little from conjured craft, so I'll see what they're up to and what that's all about- it could definitely be pretty cool! Thanks for letting me know about it!! 😊
@@CateSculpts Cooler pokemon? Look no further than Torterra, the coolest of them all (well, if you ask this guy) What's your favorite?
@@619Slipk ooh yeah torterra's definitely a cool one! My favourite has always been altaria, I find it's mega evolution looks really nice, plus I think my love for it definitely came from getting one of my only packs of Pokémon cards as a kid and drawing a mega altaria! 😄
This is awesome! You post regularly, you have great work, and you only have under 1k subs? Very surprising. Keep this up, experiment with video formats and make a short for each video, and post regularly and you will grow to hundreds of thousands of viewers! This is great content!
Thank you so much! I'm pretty new, but I've definitely been growing at a steady pace! I've done some shorts here and there, usually I post them just before posting a new video but sometimes I'm in a hurry and end up forgetting...but it's definitely going well! Thank you for the support! 😁
I love it it's so well done
Thank you! 😊
You did such an awesome job ❤
Thank you so much! Glad you like it ❤️
Amazing work 😍😍
Thank you!! 😄
Awesome work Cate!!! I love your style and the commentary is always something to look forward to, "bluhlulolalola" 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Thank you so much!! The commentary is always fun when I just let myself say anything 😂😂 Glad you like it! 😁
Came out pretty nice. The hands with those wiggly fingers look so spooky And those lifted edges of the floor boards was such a great detail
Thank you! I love adding little details to bring sculptures together 🤭
I love Coraline <3 One of my fave movies. Do you prefer the book or the movie? Also, you don't need to apologise for tripping over your words and stuff, it's actually very endearing to hear people do that. This was a really cool project!
Same! I think I prefer the movie, I definitely love the visuals and the stop motion really works well with the dark themes of the story! Thank you so much, It's very refreshing to hear that, since I do tend to mess up while talking a lot! I try to keep it in when I do though as it can be a little funny sometimes 🤭
@@CateSculpts I agree, the style and designs of the characters and scenery is gorgeous. I saw the movie before I read the book, and I was surprised by how dark the book is; like the book was so much creepier. It's a pleasure! I do that a lot too, and it makes me feel self conscious at times. That vulnerability and those imperfections are what allows us as an audience to connect with you. It makes you feel more 'real' and relatable to viewers when we don't see perfection all the time.
@@saneminotaur definitely! Oh, you're so sweet! I'm so glad you view it in that way, it definitely makes me feel better knowing I can connect with people when I'm more myself! 😊
@@CateSculpts Aw, thank you, that's lovely of you to say. 100%! You should totally be yourself unapologetically. It allows people to have a peek into who you are as a person and how your mind works, you know? It's interesting to see how people's content evolves over time, how you see their personality come across more and more; seeing their confidence build as they become more comfortable showing their authentic selves and their personality. I look forward to seeing more of your journey as a creator and how your channel evolves over time as you become more comfortable in expressing yourself through your content.
@@saneminotaur yeah, I get what you mean! I've already grown and adapted my personality quite a bit since I started at the beginning of the year, and I really can't wait to keep going and show more of who I am along the way! And I'm so glad that you and so many others are willing to stay and watch through my journey, too! And honestly, it's a journey for all of us, since hopefully I'll be able to inspire people and show them things about sculpting, too 😁
looks so cool!! I love coraline 💙 I really like the detail on it and the way you added coraline doll and the little mouse, you’re so talented!
Thank you so much!! So glad you like it- I love coraline too 😁💚
this is beautiful
Thank you! 😊
This is so cool! I know how difficult it is to film while sculpting so I am so impressed! It turned out so great!!
Thank you so much!! It's definitely difficult but I've been able to improve my setup over time so its getting a little easier! 😁
This is so well done!
Thank you!! I'm glad you like it 😁
"I smack it down with my fist" then beat that clay with a stick D*amn girl. What did those poor materials did to you? Although I can see why someone would need to let some steam out after doing so many dots on those tentacles. Those larger tentacles with the black things protruding out of them look quite badass
Haha it can definitely be fun and a bit stress-relieving to do that! My hands end up cramping after doing small details like the tentacle dots so it's almost like a reset on my wrists and fingers. Glad you like it!! 😊
What do you mean out of your league? Turned out pretty nice. All those different textures really helped. And that gem on the pendant looks soooo good! You were more socially awkward this time around, specially when talking about hitting 500 subs. How sweet hahaha. And on your way to a 1000 already
Haha thank you so much! Glad you like it :) yeah I'm not very good at talking about stuff like that since 500 is a really big number in my mind, but it'll definitely get easier, especially since like you said, I'm on my way to 1000! 😁
😮 זה היה מטורף הסרטון הטוב הזה
