Firstly, thanks for the explanation. But what if English is not my first language so I did wrote the personal statement in English and putting it on Chatgpt in order to get in a very formal and powerful way. Is that gonna be a problem?

Got 2 pharmacy interviews tomorrow thanks so much for this
how did they go? and which unis?
@@ilov3sabs rejected by one and still waiting on the others unfortunately
@@zainthe_c00lkid29 ohh im sure the offers will start to come through soon! what questions were u asked if u dont mind sharing?
Bro I, applying next week and I’m panicking I thought interviews were only for med applicants, do you mind telling me how it went? 😭
@lol.1296 @ ilov3sabs Sure! For my choices I chose for pharmacy University of nottingham, university of Birmingham and Aston University as they were close to me. For Aston what they did is they gave you a pre interview task which was basically 2 scenarios (with you opinion whether you agree/ disagree with the statement) questions and an answer box to give your reasons to if you think xyz should be done or not. The entire interview for me was all about that and that's why I was rejected from this uni. Most are tick boxes and then the massive paragraph after. Remember though this is your opinion and you can basically say anything you want so long as its relevant and they can understand why you would think that would be the case. The second was University of Nottingham and for this they did the same as medicine that being MMI style interview with a varied choice of questions. For me, I was given 5 slides with questions. First was why do you want to do pharmacy, for this obviously state why you believe pharmacy is the right course for you to persue as a career and make sure you go into detail as they will reject you like me for not giving enough detail which unfortunately because I didn't prepare for the interview very well. Second was about current hot healthcare topics like for example the fact pharmacists can instantly become independent prescribers from September 2026 onwards. But you could also mention other relevant topics such as the pharmacy first scheme where you can get prescription based medications over the counter. In my opinion it's good to give maybe 1 or 2 detailed sentences about these topics. For my 3rd slide I was given a scenario to do with an elderly mother forgetting to take her medications but is unable to walk to the pharmacy so her daughter goes to get them but is concerned that her mother isn't consistently taking her medications prescribed. They ask you what would you do in this situation. For me I kinda waffled here but think of this scenario from the elderly patients POV. My fourth and fifth slides were very random. The next slide was all maths questions, extremely easy maths questions but time will get to you as well as the interviewer pressuring you if we can move on. My advice is to kind of ignore the interviewer when he says if you can move on, obviously don't ignore the interviewer completely because that could show you are rude but try to keep calm and when the interviewer tells you if you want to move on just say if you can have a couple more seconds. For this they give you TWO MINUTES to answer 5 easy pharmacy related calculations and you are allowed pen and paper to note it down, but please do not make stupid mistakes like I did by not using simple methods you learnt in year 5 like bus stop method because they will give you a simple division by a number but don't try to do it mentally as it makes it impossible. Also remember your conversions (g to mg/ g to mg/ g to micrograms) as that's what came up for me. But honestly you should be sound if you get any question like that in any of your universities. Finally what I got was all chemistry questions at the end, these were Year 12 style questions where they mostly ask you about the properties of aspirin and naming functional groups like e.g the COOH group on aspirin. They also tell you random ones like naming a group you haven't heard of but have learnt how to name so be prepared on that if you get a chemistry question. My interview was short (about 15 mins long) with about 3 mins per section so try to take your time with answering the questions and think carefully about what you are going to say to the interviewer as they will judge you on everything you say. Finally for UoB they asked me about 4-5 questions. For me there was a scenario purely based on confidentiality along with questions at the end on random things like how you show respect towards others and how you demonstrated a way in which you can improve. Or even why pharmacy which is easy. Id say use chat gpt if you're stuck with trying to give an answer to the interviewer but put it in your own words. Make sure you don't use your phone obviously in the interview as they can see it. The scenario was very easy and basically all you do is talk about confidentiality that's it. Most of the time you're waiting for an ID check and being moved into random zoom calls and for me my interview lasted 10 mins. So that's how my unis went and my advice for you, obviously this is going to change between different universities so make sure you're prepared for any question they ask you. Big advice is to honestly use chat gpt to give you scenarios based on pharmacy then ask them how they would approach the question. Also look on Google for lots of different pharmacy questions and make sure you have an answer for every single question that comes up and do not just sit there as they will mark you down for that. You can say something like can I have a second to think and they will allow you that but don't pause for a considerable amount of time as they will think you are unprepared or something. Good luck for your interviews!
Thank you
This is a great way to approach a scenario like this 👏
Amazing video. Just wondering if UCL are the only university to do this test and whether you need to revise. Are there any mocks online that you did beforehand. Thanks!
hi, im not sure if you're still responding but I guess I can ask in case anyone else is here..! the main issue I have with economics is the length of my essays. I can do the structures set, but im always scared that I haven't done enough and begin to yap which costs marks. how many paragraphs did u do, and how long were they? I've been taught to do 2 long paragraphs w eval after each, it's good for me but as Ive said I have a tendency to overdo them. thank u! ik its already kinda explained w using exemplars & masting exam technique but I seriously can't snap out of the bad habit lol, but I want to know how long an essay shld be!
Amazing advice
The best advice ever .thank you so much.❤

I’m practicing right now and I’m just getting a UCAT score of 2100 and band 3-2 SJ, do I still have a chance going to dentistry and getting accepted?

Hello beautiful, are the boots comfortable? I'm thinking of buying them, but I'm afraid they're heavy. 🫶🏻🥹
I have recently been so torn between going for dentistry and going for dental hygiene and therapy. I know that I have potential and I always tell others to never limit themselves but i also tend to be pretty realistic and think logically. I was wondering how I can figure out what route to take- I’m currently finishing year 12 (for the second time due to poor health circumstances) and I’ve booked my ucat, and am still planning on work experience placements to do over the summer as well as delving deeper into my hobbies. Because of how small the chances and acceptance rates seem, I tend to overthink ab whether i’ll even get in especially because i’m a generally introverted person. Nonetheless, I don’t think that should effect my interview performance etc. Would i be able to apply for 4 dentistry courses with the 5th being dental hygiene and therapy? or is that not allowed- does it have to be something outside of dentistry completely? I’ve just been pretty confused and haven’t found anywhere explaining it well enough. Would i perhaps be able to apply to two dht courses with the other three being dentistry? And what would i base my personal statement on? Is it better that i focus on dentistry as a whole or dht?? Also would i apply for the early ucas deadline even if some of my courses are for dht? I’m so sorry ab all the questions but i’m genuinely so lost 😭 so i would greatly appreciate any help!
This is a very detailed advice! Thank you Scilla
THANK YOU SOOOOOOOOO MUCH

how did it go?
@@ellie6923 it went alright, i passed so it had to have lol it wasn’t really an interview about myself it was more of a follow-up on my response to an ethical scenario i gave my opinion on, i just watched these vids to make me feel prepared and less stressed even though i knew they probably weren’t gonna ask any personal questions anyway

Hi what kind of question they asked in interview?
Hi,is this AQA? Thankyou :)
Although I'd still prefer medical school (I want to be a psychiatrist), you made some goods points for when dentistry is a good career. I've got respect for you and all the other dentists out there.
Hi, I’ve got an interview in few days at Wolverhampton university and I’m really worried. I’ve never gave any interview in my entire life. Any tips?
Do you need to sit a ucat or any type of admissions test for pharmacy?
Hey thanks for this it was super informative, I’m not from the UK so this is all super foreign to me. Do you know roughly how long the essay needs to be, and also do I need to provide them with identification documents for the ID check they talked about in the email?

Hi, just wondering what were ur predicted grades that got you the offer, and dyu know anyone that got offer with predicted AAB?
That’s the standard entry requirement for most unis, AAB
Hey I’m also interested in doing an IRP but I’m a bit clueless on how to get started, how did you conduct yours? Pls let me know as I’m short on time thank you so much for your dedication to this video, it’s amazing!!❤
I have Y12 January exams tomorrow (in class not hall) for economics. After seeing this im confident I know what to do to succeed and get good predicted grades, however the tests tomorrow so not much I can do - how much do January exams affect your predicted grades in year 12? Surely they can't mean much as we've only covered like 10% of the spec
its hard to give you a definitive answer to that as different schools operate differently so I'd advise you to ask your teachers. All the best
sop for master degree pharmacy Any link or anything …mentioned plz
i will make a video on that soon so be on the look out for it
Thank you so much for these videos. Soo helpful
You are so welcome!
Great video. For the pharmacy test at UCL, how hard was the chem, any specific topics or level?
I already have another video on my channel where I discuss the UCL entry test in detail - feel free to refer to that. All the best!
What other pharmacy schools did you apply to?
Hi Scilla, I've really been struggling with some of the more challenging gcse subjects but I took your advice, did the past paper again and got a grade 8- 38/70. Although the mark wasn't high I'm really proud of that grade and hopefully I can a grade 7+ in January mocks.⚛️ Thanks for your advice, as this helped a ton. 😁
Ah I’m so glad! I’ll post more content this year to support you guys with your exams. All the best- you’ll do amazing!
How often do they give uncondtionals
no unis ever give unconditional on competitive courses such as this if you are currently studying in year 12/13, but you will be guaranteed an unconditional offer if you have already achieved your grade
