Sunday Continental - Brunchtime Boogie!
Great days
I remember the punks in feegie years ago I live in Northampton England now boys 🎉🎉🎉
Im an equal poet than you.
Really cool. Im surprised you don't have electric gates to go up and down instead of a person who has to open and close them?
Fantastic film, bittersweet story. Enjoyed your puns and the Burns statue. - from a large family of Jack Wardrops🏴
Hustle and bustle dead now😢😅
Love it! What pioneers they were ❤
From the looks of things, I think that the bridge has been there before General Electric became a global conglomerate; giggle!
Big Gerry ✌️✌️
Very interesting Gerry first time I have seen this
Very helpful.Thank you for sharing these exercises.
🙂 My home away from home in the early 80s! Great to see some familiar faces - hello Carole, Alan, Stephen.. I hope you're all still well. Loved this trip down memory lane...
I'm in that by the way. When Ur seeing the kids lining up to do something I'm the one with the pink jumper shivering Lol
This is my Primary school
Mine as well
RIP Jimmy. I'm watching this today in celebration of your life.
The adaptation to theater seems more atractive than the long novel plenty of detailes and often boring descripcions, still we must remember that when the year it was written society was so much different in it's discrimination towards "free" women called "whores" as Roxana herself😢
I've just finished the novel "Roxana" written by Daniel Defoe exactly 300 years ago and found this theater versión amazing! Is there more information about this play, please? 😮
I’m pretty sure I’ve heard the clock playing Elvis tunes!
But we never got to hear them!
aye cool, migrants and junkies mucking the place up but at least we got our bell chimes. cant live without those
The “no” made me piss myself
He’s actually very good. Witty and comical. He’s up there with Ogden Nash. I just can’t accept the worlds worst poet label.
Nice to see Spam again. (aka John the Bass player) Missin him. All of us were at that Feegie Park gig.
Wonderful talent, Becca. Incredible singing voice, you are indeed special. Love your work.
Hi Richie, Robert Adamson here from Canada. I laughed my face off watching your dad. It brought back memories of the excitement we all felt watching Walter on Parkinson. Your dad was a comic genius and slightly under appreciated.
Good to see linwood get a mention
What a gem! Im bowled over as i say, I'd never heard of this genius until today! Sadly, all of his books seem to be unavailable, but I'll keep searching. Thank you so much for uploading this trubute to a very brilliant man.
Lived in Paisley all my life. The destruction of the town centre is an absolute disgrace and those "elected" custodians of the town should be ashamed of themselves. This includes the council, Black and Newlands. The once thriving High Street is now more than a plethora of bargain shops, Payday loan establishments and empty units. Taking a walk through the Paisley Centre is akin to a scene from 28 Days Later.
I recall Calum, from Defiant Pose, asking us if they could put in a concert at their school Assembly Hall - Merksworth High. I said that if we can convince the Jannie - John McAusland - we would think about it. John was up for it, so Calum and his band and another couple of local bands had their first live performance at Merksworth. A great night and not a bit of bother. I even did a promo article for Defiant Pose, claiming they had supported Sex Pistols in London. Happy times.
I remember the Two teachers called Mrs farqquarson. One was large and the other small. I started on the first day. Certainly neverb had a blazer or a tie. We were the poor one’s but were all treated the same. Remember the headmaster, Mr McNeil. Great “Heidie”. Known as Susan Lee then.
Is there a regular sequence of tunes being played?
Nice video. That's England, manually opened road gates. We got a railroad bridge like that being in Germany for repairs. Documenting its arrival and installation is a wish.
That's Renfrewshire, SCOTLAND. I should know. I live there.
@@allancopland1768 I'm sorry, should have written UK.... Thanks for sorting the mistake out.
Brilliant, thank you for this. I remember my dad taking us down to Renfrew Airport at the weekends, walking from Penilee.
Wow! Amazing journey through time filmi looking back on family 👪 history's
This is great. Do you have any more footage of the old Renfrew airport?
I wonder if they would have known my Gran and Grandad, John and Elizabeth Docherty, as they both lived in Gallowhill too. They both passed away in 1979, just a couple of months apart. Æ 🙏
ASMR FOR THE PEOPLE OF PAISLEY .. LONG LIVE THE BUDDIES
Loved it. Thanks to convery family. Great wee film
Amazing! thanks for sharing this footage.
So enjoyed hearing and seeing you Tony and of course my favorite Uncle Andrew and the crew! So cute! I'll be watchful to see more adventures with the Convery Clan! Hugs to all.
Fantastic my Grandad and great Uncle both worked on the Queen Elizabeth as carpenters what a gift to be able to see it as they did thank you.
There are bascule bridges operating all over the world. What about this one in particular is rare?
Scherzer Rolling Bascule bridges are not common.
I went to both games with my dad and uncle Donald. Think George Newton scored direct from the corner?
Today I went into the town hall just after 1500 to help selling tickets before a great show by Paisley Sinfonia, I was stood alone just at the side of the town hall as the clock played Highland Cathedral, I didn’t know the chimes had been fixed and being 35 had no memory of them…that blew me away The town hall is looking fantastic inside aswell, credit to all involved in restoring it
My dad’s family came from Johnstone . His father was Wee Malky Kerr my grandfather who had a barber shop on Walkinshaw street from before the 2nd world war up until his retirement approx 1971/72 My Dad was Daniel Kerr his Brother James and his younger Sister Betty along with my granny Lizzie Kerr and Wee Malky Kerr my Grandfather . Malcolm (Calum) Kerr . Have fond memories visiting in late 60’s early 70’s
Great video. Thanks for posting. I used to take the bus from Renfrew Ferry to Paisley Ice Rink for my lessons with Gladys Jagger - that would've been 1963/4? And my dad was a Paisley Buddie.
I thoroughly enjoyed this. A real work of art! Thank you.
Awsome!
I used to live in Queen Street, across from the old St Mary's school. That was back in the early 70's.
Two in Hull still running. There were four but two were removed
🤘🙂
