I have been divorced and single for 26 years. I have always served in the church & my community, and as an extrovert make friends easily. Yet, in 26 years I haven't had any man even look at me twice. I’m just casual friend material. I have been attracted to someone who’s been single for 14 years and we have grown close as very good friends. I was interested in something more but he isn’t, yet he doesn't want to lose our close friendship. It’s been hard being single for 26 years and I’m 62 now. It’s discouraging, and I was content in praying & waiting for my Boaz, as I still live & serve. I can't help but wonder what’s wrong with me - single for 26 years is a long time. I get discouraged of hearing how blessed some guy will be to have me as his Ruth someday.

I think most of the time I know it’s me because most of the time it’s physical and my own desires. If it’s God I know it’ll happen outside of my thoughts. It won’t be so centered around what I see but it’ll align with scripture. As you mentioned peace and God not being the author of confusion. Great video. Such as, me not be woken up in the middle of the night because my intuition is telling me something is wrong 😅.

This is SO timely. I am seeking God about this exact topic! The twist is that I didn’t consider this man initially. As time has passed I have gotten the impression God is changing my preconceived notions about him. Honest confession, I prayed that the man God picked for me doesn’t have tattoos. This man that God placed on my heart does, and I felt Holy Spirit whisper to me: Do his tattoos make him worth any less? Girl, I FELT that on a deep level. I’ve also begun to notice character qualities about him that I specifically asked God for. Additionally I received a word from an unexpected person reminding me to focus on what is important and understand no one is perfect. So thank you so much for your timely advice. God is absolutely using you to bring me encouragement and guidance!
