Gold Bluff Campground gets you a head start to Hike Fern Canyon at Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park
Take a tour of Gold Bluff Beach Campground in Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park.
We also tour the ever-popular Fern Canyon. By staying at this campground you can beat the morning rush of those coming over the mountain to get to Fern Canyon. But be warned. the road in will limit the size of equipment you can bring to the beach.

Cape Perpetua Campground Along the Oregon Coast at Thor's Well in the Siuslaw National Forest

While traveling the Orgon coast we found this lovely little campground laid out by the CCC along a creek. Trails from the campground will take you to a 500-year-old spruce tree. Also, you can climb to the top viewpoint of Cape Perpetua at Amada's Loop. Or take the Cape Cove trail down to Thor's Well. You can take advantage of the 2-week stay limit to explore many more trails. Many first come fi...

North Campground Tour at Copper Falls State Park. Updated for 2024. Mostly Electric, easy RV Access
Просмотров 52128 дней назад
While staying at Copper Falls State Park this spring I decided it was time for an updated walking tour of the north campground. The RV Section if you will. While almost all sites are electric and quite big, a few are smaller without electricity. Either way, the facilities in this section are primitive and hard to get to. However, these are the closest to the doughboy trail.

    I just watched two of your videos in a row(I’ve watched a bunch, love them, and you rule!), for two upcoming camping trips at New Glarus Woods State Park, then one at Wildcat Mountain. In the New Glarus one, the only site(22) “Occupied” was the one with the abandoned tent, and at Wildcat site 110 was a long way out there, and it seemed like you thought it might be occupied, so you didn’t check it out. Those are both the sites I have. Doh! S*it happens. Lol. Again, love your videos, and used them for reference many times now! Keep it up, my man!! 🤘🏕️❤️

    Is it my imagination, or is Wisc trying to discourage camping, especially for out-of-state folks. This year, as in past years, I bought my annual park sticker (paying the higher non-resident fee). Now, I’m seeing higher non-resident fees for camping. Is that new this year? Finally, are on-line reservations mandatory? If so, that means another fee tacked on. I really enjoy camping in Wisc. The parks are so much nicer than what’s available in Illinois. But, unless I’m mistaken, it seems there are a couple of new fees being imposed that are giving me pause. Maybe it’s time to look harder at campgrounds in Illinois.

    • @SconnyWandering
      @SconnyWandering 12 дней назад

      Unfortunately, our state parks are self funded. Tax dollars are not being used, unlike Illinois, which seem to be funded in other ways. Many states are imposing non-resident fees to help the residents get sitesbin there own state. Others are giving residents a head start on reservations. Wisconsin now requires all sites paid online. However, if you pay say day, any extra fees are waved.
