hey! first off congrats on your admission to amherst!! i hope you have a wonderful time there I was a math major, but a lot of people double major math with biochemistry or another major (your major doesn't really affect your chances of admission to med school) the open curriculum makes it easier to major in something else not related to chem or bio while still finishing the premed prerequisites just a warning but if you want to take higher level biology classes if you're not in the major it's almost impossible since they give priority to majors first (you can also look at the 5 college system if necessary) you don't have to declare your major until sophomore year so take your time choosing :) there are a lot of clubs that bring in speakers or have events dedicated to prehealth and the advisors give great advice and aid (recommended to meet with them once every semester or at least once yearly) if you have any specific questions let me know!

there are a wide array of shops in front of the temple and you can pretty much choose any of them!

I honestly thought that the premed courses at Amherst were pretty well balanced. The professors are willing to help and are understanding of different circumstances. However, if you want to take upper division classes for biology I highly recommend you double major or major in biochem or biology since priority are given to majors. If you don't want to major it is possible to take premed courses at UMass Amherst depending on your schedule but that is also difficult because priority is given to UMass Amherst students. I have seen a handful of people, myself included, take biochemistry at UMass Amherst and it was manageable with my schedule. Let me know if you have anymore questions :)

if you just want to study abroad you can most definitely study at yonsei university. I don't know if the process is different for people who want to go as an exchange student but it is very possible
