Nothing much here right now.....
Our Bournemouth Reef Review
Aussie surf hack Ben Mondy, an ex-editor of Tracks magazine and contributor to Surfer, Carve and Surf Europe, was one of the first to surf the new reef at Bournemouth. Here he gives his take on it in a video that is currently running on the Independent newspaper website. Music by Super U www.superu.co.uk

Our snowboarding and sightseeing trip to Iran
Просмотров 3,8 тыс.14 лет назад
Myself (Matt) and Super U guitarist Ewan went snowboarding and sightseeing in Iran with our friend Gendle, Hamish and James McPhail. We visited Shemshak and Dizin, Isfahan, Qom and Kershan and it was a right old life-changer. Our thanks to Leily and Mahmood, here is a short two minute edited highlight courtesy of ace filmer and editor Adam Gendle.

Footage from the European Mini Golf Champs in Tampere, Finland in May 08. I was there following the UK team around for an article. The Brits came last, perhaps because they don't take it as seriously as our European cousins....
A slab haha
Total bollocks
That reef-building company must have had one HELL of a salesman in their team.
That wave is pure and utter puss... 3.5 million lmao
Shite is what it is!!!!!!! The top suffers all say this!!!! Property development is what this was all about!
0:50: Is sunblock really necessary for the freaking UK?! It's like I'm taking crazy pills!!!!
Not on a day like that, but on a sunny day between about April to August you can get very sunburnt in the uk.
Are they talking about the same wave as in the film?
Mediterranean waves are bigger than yhis thing
I am from Spain and I was living in Southampton and used to go surfing to Bournemouth when they started building this reef . Sincerely, I actually hoped this would be quite better, looking at the result I wonder what a waste of money it has been. I used to get better waves near the peer than the ones I am seeing in these videos.
Utter crap!!!
Everyone says it's a shit wave but it's a hell of a lot better than the other waves we get on the South Coast. We weren't expecting it to be World class, just better than the messy 1-2fts we normally get
Are you having a laugh? Intermediate to advanced? LOL, That's the shittiest wave I've ever seen.
should've built a flowrider
year round lifeguard for the world shittiest waves lol omg, this is just so sad. I feel bad these people
They should have sunk a Type 42 destroyer out there below the waterline, and then you'd get some waves.
dont kid yourself mate. do yourself a favour and take up football
mondy you sack of shit
Kind of a shite wave to be honest. The waves are just big meat backs and the actual break looks like such a short ride. They should have made the damn thing the size of seven or eight football pitches not bloody one.
Better than jaws
Crap with a capital A
its closed at the moment , we dont know when it will open , something about a spit sand bag . theay say it was done by a boat , i am not a surfer but live in bournemouth , it does not look that good to be honest and the waves are better on the other side of the pier.
oh dear
@fatcarrot777 Yeah I think there will be more in england if Bournemouth's wave works out alright
@roryesquire in england?
how it hits the reef would be super sick if it was 6 ft bigger
I thank my lucky stars I live near the North Sea Coast!
This reef has certainly put bournemouth on the map as a complete laughing stock
Mate...suddenly Lyall Bay is looking great ....... do the people who make these "artificial reefs" actually have any degrees or general knowledge about the sea bed and how reefs affect the wave formation and shape? If it were me I'd wanna just pay a deposit and pay the balance AFTER I'd seen the results (or in this case) lack of!
Nope, they only understand how to bullshit people into giving them money. And unfortunately it was a council project, so funded by either corruption or idiocy or both. They could have already seen the results - the company that installed it had already installed another failure elsewhere.
Boy that's a poor wave. I'm not gonna poke fun at it because you could never know exactly how it's going to work until it's built and put in the water, however such a narrow shelf could surely only produce a deep narrow wave with nowhere to go.
Doesn't look like an "expert" level wave.
@abSURDub because Bournemouth council paid for it and it was intended to bring tourism to Bournemouth, not Cornwall.
Its cause the retards who built it knew nothing abou surf, if they had any brains they would have built it in cornwall where theres regular swell, what the fuck.
crap!... just as good as the one in mt maunganui, new zealand, waste of cash!.
jesus christ guys! chill the fuck out! it was never going to be great was it? if you hate it so much, then why bother passing comment? its not like anyones making you come down here!
Tax payers were fleeced and lied to, UK surf champ said it wouldn't work. Property developers made millions, tax payers lost out!
What a piece of shit! And what a bunch of fuckwads crapping on about the place. Still if it keeps the tw@ts there...
surfgatinho what a foul mouthed idiot
dont conplain its better than nothing, get out there and surf ... if you want really good waves get your wallet out and go some were else, if i was back home id surf bournemouth, i reackon it'l only get better and that this artifical reef is the first of many to come in england
why are the lifeguards there 365 days, i dont get it, im from Cornwall and the best time to surf is when they go. through the winter, they arent there and if you can brave going out its brilliant, people wanting a good surf arent going to waste there time heading here unless it starts to pick up, i must say from what ive seen its very disappointing so far. Where i currently live this is my closest local spot, and the reports ive got back so far from other locals are its shit!!! i hope it works
The wave is long enough for him to drop in and do one turn. Yippee!.
wow
Hi Fred, it's pathetic, but not as pathetic as the toads talking it up.
Ben Mondy..... tsk, tsk. But your body language, including your frown, tells the truth. There was a short flash of a bodyboard on the shore break and it shows it was better than the reef!?
Great video. Love Iran..
What language is the subtitle? Pashtun? Iranians speak Farsi (Persian).
