It really irks me seeing people treating Isayama's words as gospel when I KNOW this man has contradicted himself in interviews multiple times. I haven't been able to take anything he says at face value ever since 139 was released.

I recently saw someone say she will make a video on how Hanji is a better commander than Erwin. If you ever feel like making another AOT video, a good one would be to explain why Erwin is a better character and a better commander than Hanji. I actually think Erwin is the best character in AOT.

I was gonna watch his video until I saw Attack On Titian on his time board. This man is stubborn and refuses to understand the series outside his viewpoint. People in the fandom do not reflect what the author is writing but this guy does think this way about the series. He even thinks Isayama is an edge lord which is crazy.

Isayama kinda wrote himself into a corner by making a situation where the only two options are 1. let yourself and your people be genocided due to racism 2. genocide the rest of the world before they can genocide you. It was bound to create a big divide in the fandom. I know ending defenders like that invaderzzz say there were other options than those two, but it didn't seem like it when the entire world agreed to destroy Paradis. It's basically the trolley problem but in a much bigger scale.

5:23 I disagree here. Eren losing would've been absolutely TERRIBLE. Eren was given way too much conviction and steeling of his resolve just to lose to the Alliance. That would have been garbage writing. There's no possible way for 5 titan shifters who CANNOT beat the Founder. There's no way for THREE normal people, a cripple, and a child to beat the Founder. It would've been another shit happy ending ass ending. Isayama's folding ass knew it that's why he retconned Eren to let them win. If Eren is going to lose (Bad Writing) then Mueller and the Marleyan soldiers should've gunned them all down, saying: "You should've let Jaeger kill us when you had the chance." The Alliance should've got their immediate consequence for betraying the Island.

With the b*mb analogy, let's say there are children and pregnant women in the crowd with weapons coming to kill you. Yes, it's sad that they'd be killed by the b*mb, but what the hell are the dumb parents doing bringing their (unborn) children to a mob to murder someone who did nothing wrong? I'll admit, I came to aot late and never read the manga and I personally enjoyed the ending, retcons and all, and do not agree with eren's decisions. but I think fd's analysis is generally unfair to "jagerists" and aot fans in general. and while I understand fictional works can be used as tools of oppression and theres definitely a fashy audience, I think there's a difference between standing by a character for narrative reasons and standing by a character because you'd literally agree with all their decisions in real life. I think there is a problem with your "you-only-have-a-bmb-and-ppl-are-coming-to-kll-u" analogy bc I think that sort of thinking is what oppressive powers irl tend to weaponize, but I think we both understand both your analogy and the story are purposely written as mostly unrealistic scenarios and meant to be a difficult trolley problem for people to debate for years to come. and the thing with unrealistic hypotheticals like that is even in the most beginner philosophy class, it is understood that when given an unrealistic hypothetical, the person shouldn't be held 100% accoutable for their answer as if that would be their real-life position. this sort of moralizing and de-moralizing of fictional works and what directions you want them to take and painting it in one broad stroke really irks me and I wish fd's analysis would be smarter than this.

If you wanna watch a shonen that has an actually great, if not a perfect ending.... Then give Blue Dragon a try. The shows not a masterpiece, but at the same time its the best anime adaptation of a video game ever made. And keep in mind its been 15 years since it ended and most shonen struggle to make q halfway decent ending. Oh and Akira Toriyama was heavily involved in Blue Dragon so there's also that if people want a good reason to watch (watch the JP dub tho)

Zeke dice que cada vez que alguien se transforma en titán la fundadora Ymir construye el cuerpo del Titan o regenera los cuerpos de los cambiantes con la arena, nunca se dice que los titanes salen de la nada, siempre hay un eldiano involucrado. El panel de ella haciendo los colosales en los caminos puede representar que una vez el rey de las murallas grito para transformar a los eldianos en titanes colosales, mandó la orden a Ymir y empezó a construir el cuerpo de los titanes colosales, como lo dijo Zeke. Y en la batalla final en el anime quedo bastante claro que los Titanes cambiantes del pasado estaban hechos en base a los poderes del titán martillo de Guerra al verse un cable en ellos y ser grises con tonos blancos, poder que no poseía el primer rey de las muralla. Y para el que diga que como es capaz de sacrificar a 10 millones de su pueblo para proteger a solo un millón, parece que se les olvida la ideología del primer Rey. I was AoT-free for 3 years. I watched s1 almost ten years ago, I started following the manga 8 years ago and month my month I stood and waited for leaks and releases. Up till the ch139 and the aftermath. I can't say I was brutalized by ch139 alone - the story has been in a downwards spiral since 132, and even the alliance forming earlier made little sense to me. But ch139 just crushed hopes of getting any cohesive end of a narrative. I was upset for maybe a month, looking at some threads in r/titanfolk, then I erased it from my life. Even when the anime came I didn't care at all, even when my non-manga friends were praising anime - this series has been dead to me. I'll never reread it or rewatch it. But YT suggestions broke this healthy streak recently and I'm mad again. Especially at Shash and Invaderzz's takes on Eren's mentality. Thank you for your videos, I would be fuming if it weren't for your and Odin's essays

Punish them for... what exactly? For killing people and killing people is bad? In that case, Why aren't literally ALL the characters in jail? XD I'm 99% sure he never really thought about it and in that interview he just improvised and spat out the first thing that came to his mind... But as exaggerated as it sounds, everything Isayama has said regarding the plot and characters during and after the ending of AOT has felt like an insult to my intelligence as a reader. Funny thing about your talk about the writing being good and it being unpredictable - did you know that the writers didn't know where the show was going at all? When we get the flash forward of Walt at at the start of season 5 - Vince Gilligan said they wrote that not knowing how they were going to pay it off, they just wanted to challenge themselves. They were that confident in their ability. Truly fantastic! That's why Walt leaves the watch Jesse gave him on the pay phone later - the writers realized he didn't have it on him in the flash forward at the start of the season so they showed him leaving it behind when they came back to it much later.

All time great finale. Really resolved every storyline. Walt got his money to his family so everything he did wasn't pointless. He saved Jesse. He got revenge on Jack and his gang. He got closure with Skylar and was honest with her. And most importantly he was honest with himself for the first time. He went out on his own terms, doing what made him feel alive. Now that you've finished BB I'd highly recommend the Sopranos. The creator of BB, Vince Gilligan, has said there would be no Walter white without Tony Soprano (the main character of the Sopranos).

i really dont see the problem with this , the king used his power , erased their memories , commanded them to leave the main land , they ruled like half the world with the power of titans , then when they moved he used the power to create the colossal titans and to be controlled only under the power of the founder titan , however couldn't simply because of the vow , and ymir created the wall titans with sand , just like she did with every other titan. to me this is how its always been , just like the good ol dumb theory meme of ymir creating every titan design , BuT wHo CrEatEd hErs. i mean the civilization of the eldian empire was huge , and they took as many people as they could to the island, I really don't find it hard to believe there was more than enough people to create the walls especially if they were mind controlled by the founder, even history wise its believable , like the romans had up to like 45 millions plus as for the page thing , usually I'm on his ass but based on that interview , he really did want to add like a whole extra 19 pages cause he wanted a whole new 4 extra story plotlines , and usually they have page limits and usually sometimes they do get extra pages like 139.5 but mangakas have also fought for extra pages and been denied, so if he did want to explain things he can just simply write it out on like document , but as for story wise , if he adds it , and it adds a whole new plotline at the end of its series and left off with nothing to explain it cause it just cuts off randomly cause of the page limit it just does nothing and makes it worse Imo i always wanted yams creating a book to go through the story and explain how things function or story plot points but i do agree with yams creating more random story lines out of nowhere , like i always knew the titans where humans , but them being possibly killed right after is interesting , cause it could add to the manga ver ending of the world and never leaving hatred behind , but as for the anime ver its kinda nonsense cause they chill for like 1000+ years , just wished he ended it instead of giving us more and more questions that could basically create a whole new series as for the movie ending , its the school caste , however the tree shows up which is new making it canon to the aot universe , and not some whole new "what if separate school caste universe" and if this leads to school caste eren getting to the tree and getting powers leading to the war of the 1000+ years plus time skip...............I'm done lol , interested but i cant this no more mannn

Todd is so creepy man. So much scarier than even Tuco. Sure, Tuco was more physically imposing than Todd, but he was still a human. Just a violent unstable human. But Todd genuinely doesn't seem human. Just devoid of any real emotions. Even when he commits terrible acts of violence, he does it in a detached, emotionless manner. With that dead stare.
