I go to Vineyard and we practise praying through the Holy Spirit which John Wimber first rediscovered. Its an incredible church. Charasmatic church. We hold connect groups every other week in different venues across where i live. Its beautiful. The holy spirit is gentle healing and Jesus is right in the centre. We have teaching on Sundays and its a solid teaching and we have words of knowledge where people pray at the beginning and give words of knowledge ie there is someone who has a problem with their right arm. They come for prayer sfter and we ask the Holy Spirit for healing. Ive only been a christian for about 12 years but i have founf healing and fulfilment theough the holy spirit and i am closer to Jesus now than i thought i could ever be. We are all on a joirney and im still on mine. Lorx open the eyes of these peoples hearts mind and soul for a deeper relationship with you. Amen

I came across this just now and sat through Pete's initial examples of Jesus's unanswered prayers and then I switched off. This guy is a massive blasphemer. That Jesus became almost an atheist on the cross is so blasphemous! This guy cannot be serious. Every of his examples has context attached to it that Pete did not apply at all and just read the text as if its a textbook of statements, Jesus did everything intentionally because he wasn't just a man, he was God in man. He knew his mission from the start and came to fulfil just that. He never doubted for a second and endured it all - read Hebrews 12:2 that talks about the joy set before Him as He endured the cross and despised its shame. If we could imagine Jesus's prayers going unanswered, then things would be seriously wrong. When he goes to be tempted and tells Satan to go away at the end, that prayer could have been unanswered and Satan would win. When he tells the demons to get off the man, those demons could have stayed but guess what, unanswered prayers. When he heals the sick, opens the eyes of the blind and make the lame walk, they could have not been healed because guess what? unanswered prayers, when he tells Lazarus in the tomb to come out and everyone is watching him, Lazarus could have stayed dead because guess what? unanswered prayers, when he tells the thief on the cross that today he will be in paradise with Him, that could have not happened because guess what? unanswered prayers. Man, this changes everything if Jesus's prayers were unanswered. What if he was not raised then from the grave because he asked the Father but guess what? unanswered prayers. Romans 8:34 says that Christ intercedes for us, what if his prayers too could be unanswered in heaven, as Pete suggests, then what assurance do we have at all of any salvation? So then Pete, what then? How do reconcile these facts with our understanding of the text? well, we humbly acknowledge that we are wrong somehow, that our understanding of the text must be wrong. Read the story of the blind man healed twice in mark 8:24. Jesus had just done 2 massive multiplication of bread, the pharisees attacked him for another sign and his disciples argued about not having taken bread on the journey. So Jesus asks why do they argue when he had done miracles just before that, his disciples were acting just like the pharisees, Jesus even said this generation will not have any sign. So the blind man being healed the first time and seeing man like trees is not him not healed. The text does not even say he is not healed the first time. It just says that he sees the men around him walking like trees, probably blind trees, aimless, swaying in the wind with no direction and full of doubt. Whats even more fascinating is that the blind man is able to see more clearly than the disciples and pharisees put together, since they profess to see but they are the actual blind in this context. That is what the text seems to imply in 8:18 when Jesus tells them that having eyes, do you not see? The full healing is Jesus's compassion for the man, and I have no doubt that He intended for the man to see fully. But i read that Jesus used that first part of the miracle to bring to light the intent blindness of that generation, refusing to see Him as He is, the messiah, even after He's done all those amazing miracles of provision. Now could the entire provision miracle also point to Him dying for the salvation of many, maybe yes. It said that the crowd had not had food for 3 days. Who knows, maybe Jesus was also giving them a clue of his death and resurrection and the salvation/provision for many. I dont know for sure but we know for sure that every story is meant to point to the revelation of Jesus. Anyways, to conclude my rant here. When you don't know Pete, don't just read your life stories into the bible, be humble enough to read the bible into your life stories and if they dont tally and prayers are unanswered, dont make Jesus to be a liar. I agree that we all have unanswered prayers and that is part of living, but Jesus is the first of the glorious inheritance and He is perfect, he is not us. He was God on earth and He still is. My humble request to you is please repent and dont mislead.

@matthewdyer2926 When you say false definition of sin, do you then have the true definition of sin? Who does? My understanding, though their teaching is that sin is "missing the mark" as set by God himself. Tyler himself has, as well as John-Marc, admitted they don't speak 100% truth. They've said that they aim toward a true understanding of the scriptures and of Jesus, which then gets more accurate through studying the Bible in community. My understanding through their teachings isn't that Jesus only dies to bring us eternal life, but to also show us the way to live life to its fullest. That's obtained through mimicking his lifestyle. How is that false teachings? The enneagrams, I admit I don't have a scooby doo about. But does that really matter? Chew on the meat, spit out the bones my friend.

Thank you so much for this. Connecting with the Lord in prayer can be truly joy filled, and simultaneously full of reverence towards a Holy Father. Joy and reverence can mutually exist when we pray to the One who created the universe, the same one who keeps His promises, the same One to whom every knee will bow. 🙏🏼🙏🏼Thank you for this thoughtful and very meaningful discussion. Prayer is such an important subject and I suppose we don’t talk about it enough out of fear that we don’t always get it right. Or out of fear of sharing our intimate moments others will be skeptical of our experience. I hope to hear more discussion on Prayer because I believe prayer to be a lifeline and life saving.❤

Genesis 2:7 the Lord God forms His representative in their system. (wheat) One Gospel: Gospel (GOOD ANGEL) of Reconciliation. Jesus Christ came into THEIR kingdom to reconcile fallen angels unto Himself. We are the fallen angels (ELOHIM) kept in DNA chains of darkness. Not sure this guy causes more confusion than clarity. How do you know that? At the end he says “discuss”. If your church is “training” you to preach then you do not have the Holy Spiritual gift of teaching, that’s number one. If you are likewise “training” for prophetic gifts then once again you do not have the gift. He leans towards that “it’s ok” to be not perfect with the administration of the gifts and we should not add so much pressure. These are simply humanistic mindsets. How do I know? “His Word will not return to Him void” as it says in the Bible. So the question is are you in relationship with The LORD or in “training”? My yolk is easy and my burden is light - Jesus. It’s not a walk in the park but you are equipped by the Holy Spirit as He Wills and not by all that this man has said to sound intelligent. Some good points though, however, I hope he can focus on the fact that it is truely in The Holy Spirits control and perfect Will.

@@trinimatik It would be better to say that the Bible encourages meditation, but contemplative is problemstic because it us rooted in Hinduism snd Buddhism. It is a means of communing with Hindu deities, which the apostle Paul describes as demons. The same meditational techniques are also used in mystical Islam and witchcraft, to name just two other belief systems that employ them. Although some people who embrace are fine, a characteristic of it is a moving away from the authority of the Bible and/or its divine inspiration, the exclusivity of the gospel, a downplaying of doctrine, and out right denial of foundational doctrine.
