Yes really scary😮
16:17 Trailer Time
Sounds better with headphones or a subwoofer 😂
Haha yes, turn up the bass! 😂
I remember going on the paddle wheeler and seeing this show. It seemed cheesy at the time, but it was a nice flashback to see it again. 😊
I agree! They don’t make shows like that anymore 😂
Wow, this brings back memories. Nice to see the old cable car ride in the background also! Shame they got rid of the paddle wheeler 😢. Thanks for sharing 😊
Nice pickup! And the Tower of terror! Thanks for watching 😊
I would love to see with the inclusion of the highly anticipated Wizard of Oz precinct a return to movie making and magic that made WB so special. I adored the special effects show and the street festival. I loved the theming and set up before the rides like gremlins did so well. I have such high hopes for Oz and will be watching with great interest ❤
Thanks for your comment. I couldn’t agree more with you! We will be there when Oz opens and will share with you on our channel! :)
👍🏽 finally i see the drak cave
Thanks for watching 😀
Damn those engines roar!
That’s massive!! ❤
This looks like a great way to cool off 😂
SUPERwhatever……..😂😂😂😂
😂
Sick!! 😀👍
Ohh yeah!!
These F18’s are still amazing to watch. I love their engine sound 😊
Yep we totally agree!!
Never saw one personally. But so many of them went over anyway for me to see. I was on the border of NSW AND QUEENSLAND ❤😊
There’s of activity in the skies at the moment!
Definitely cool
Sooo cool! 😎
We agree! :)
Ah good old Rodney from Tasmania! 😆 Every time I hear that name for the rest of my life, I still hear it in my head in the mocking voice Captain Harris does to him, "Rod-neeey". 🤣 I also used to watch this show every time we visited when I was a kid in the late 90's, I once even got selected as the child audience member to stand on the road and blow the whistle. 😄 Anyway, of all the times I saw the show, 99.9% of the time his name was Rodney from Tasmania, and the police captain always said to him: "I bet you've never seen so many people in the one place, that you aren't related too." 😂🤣 Guess they changed that last line by 2008. 😅 There also used to be a spot at 17:33 after Rodney's first fall, when he and his girlfriend enter the Blue Oyster Bar, where Rodney would fire a pistol out the window above at the robbers, only to have the female officer Lepinksy slam the window closed on him, and take his arm off. 😆 It would then be somehow magically reattached when he stumbles out later for the explosive tool shed spot. 😂🤣 Anyway such a shame this is gone now, it really inspired my love and appreciation of stunt work, comedy, and pro wrestling, back when I was 10 in 1999.😅 When I last visited in 2018 though, it had been replaced with a boring, bland stunt show with the cars spinning around, a ramp jump or two, and zero storyline or audience interaction. 😢 P.S: The heat from that fireball at the end from the exploding chopper, on a hot Queensland summer day, was absolutely insane. 🔥🥵 P.P.S: It's a shame this video doesn't include the crowd usher in police uniform who would direct you to your seat before the show. His antics with Asian tourists would probably be considered racist and inappropriate these days, but as a kid I absolutely adored it! ❤️😆 He would always find an Asian tourist family, offer to take a photo for them with their expensive late 90's camera, then switch the camera with a prop, and pretend to drop it on the concrete, on the track, or find some other humorous way to completly destroy it. 😂🤣 The poor tourists would always panic and freak out, till he pulled out their real camera and returned it to them to laughs and hugs from the tourists. It was usually the last gag he did before the female officer came out to address the audience and start the show. 😆 P.P.P.S: I heard they auctioned off these old Los Angeles style police cruisers a few years back. I definitely couldn't afford it, but I would have loved to purchase one of them. They don't make cars like that anymore. 😢
Thanks for watching! Yep same here, every time I hear the name Rodney it takes me right back! Unfortunately by the time I recorded this I don’t think the crowd usher was doing his act anymore, however good news I do think I have a recording of him doing his routine on VHS which I will try and upload soon! We have more theme park footage to share so we would love you to keep in touch! 😀
Oh wow. Thanks for sharing, we love going to the Ekka! ❤😊
Thanks for watching. The Ekka is one of our favourite events of the year! 😀
Its not magic, if they're forced into captivity
As far as I am aware, this particular theme park only use animals which were either raised within the park or rescued from the wild and were not able to be released. I don’t think they go and capture wild animals to put in their shows or prevent rehabilitation should that be a viable option. So living within the park makes the best of a difficult situation. They do seem to care for their needs and don’t force them to do shows if they are not up to it on the day.
Not fair, I wish they would also pick an adult to have a turn at feeding the dolphins 😂 Do you think the Dolphins enjoy doing the shows? 🤔
Haha, yes I agree. It’s not fair, im sure there are plenty adults who put their hand up!! I think the dolphins do enjoy it, you can see they get very excited before the show.
My friend mad Mike used to work the comedy in the crowd. He ended up at dreamworld doing AVPX when I met him properly and on off days, I used to come into the park and help him out. A brilliant comedian and a great person.
Oh wow I remember him doing comedy as the crowd was loading into the stadium, he was the best!! From memory, he was there for ages. Things weren’t the same after he left.
@@TheWanderers99 I haven't seen him in ages but he is the best at engaging with the audience.
Yes I agree! I reckon I might have some footage of him in action from one of my very first recordings at Police Academy. I will check my archives.

I went on this so many times, over & over! I can still feel the heat & the thrill from the final drop. Such a great ride
Yes, in the early years the special effects looked great, but over the years less and less were functional. The fire in the final scene was my favourite also! 😊
This is great! I remember my stepdad picking me up & holding me towards the gremlin hanging from the light as we left the theatre, it scared the shit outta me! I was heartbroken when I went back to Movie World years later & that ride was gone
Oh yes I remember that gremlin! I’m pretty sure it used to move a bit making it extra creepy! I agree, it’s a shame when they remove rides rather than just add new ones.
Thanks for uploading this, I saw this show a few times in the mid 90’s. I remember Rodney & those flames were hot! The Gremlins ride was pretty awesome too & the Lethal Weapon ride. Great Timesheet !
Thanks for watching, that’s right the fireball was instant heat for a few seconds! Did you see we recently posted some old footage of the Gremlins ride also! Good times at movie world ☺️
@@TheWanderers99I haven’t seen this, I’m definitely checking out! Thank you!
Wow! I remember riding this many times. I recall it breaking down often and people getting stuck upside down! 😂
It broke down while I rode it once back in 2014 i think- thankfully I did not get stuck upside down but we were up there for over 15 minutes
15mins! Lucky you weren’t upside down! How did you get down?
@@TheWanderers99 we had to wait for maintenance to arrive. The position we were stuck was the basic horizontal forward facing position where it just tilts back and forth a bit. If I remember correctly I think they were able to get the ride secured and put it in the stopped position allowing us all to walk off the exit normally. The only scary part was the other kids on the ride who were screaming out and exclaiming how we were all going to die lol
lol yeah those screams wouldn’t have helped 😂. Oh well, sounds like it made for a memorable experience. Thanks for sharing ☺️
So sad that they got rid of everything that made it a movie themed park... I would love to hope that the addition of the Wizard of Oz precinct later this year we will see a return to form, but considering their current ride line up outside of the WB Kids Zone is 1 SBNO flat ride, 1 operating flat ride, 1 log flume, 1 dark ride, and 5 rollercoasters, only 2 of these 9 rides are not DC themed, and they are opening another 3 rollercoasters by the end of the year bringing them to 2/3 rides being a coaster. I have had an annual pass in one form or another for over 25 years now, and it has been sad to see the slow decline over that time. Even my 12 yo son no longer enjoys going as it is not the fun experience it once was :(
Hi Scott, I hear you! Hopefully the Wizard of Oz precinct is just the first stage of better things to come.
I'm only 9 and I went on it! It's so much fun ❤there's a part where u go backwards ❤
Wow you are so brave! Yes, we love the backwards part!
@@TheWanderers99 thank you❤️👍
This ride still haunts me
LOL we can totally understand how you feel :)

cylon is better as its bright and mummy is super scary but i rode it 2 times and its not that bad anymore
@jazzyyxx The more you ride the better it gets! :)
Wow what a journey! 😊
Mai!!! Mai e poi mai, forse per 100 Euro 💶💶 , si😅❤
Hehehe it’s well worth it!!! 😂
Year's ago i used to go on those kind of rides but it always amusing to see how many people once they got on they grip would the handles close their eyes and mouth and stayed that way till they where back down can't see how they enjoyed it 😂😂😂😂
Hi John, yes I completely agree with you! I think it’s more scary when your ride with your eyes closed as you can’t see where you’re going and get whipped around unexpectedly. Oh well it’s better they give it a go then not riding at all? 😊
This may be the one rod I have to pass on nooooooowayyyyy my stomach would be in my brain 😮😢😢
Yeah it’s definitely intense! Huge anticipation as you get hoisted up and wait up top. Then a few second rush as you plummet!! 😫😱
Don't look up or you'll get covered in spew... Nice
Haha good tip!
That thing is crazy high!! I want to ride !!! 😅
Give it a go!! 😂
Wow what a blast from the past!! Thanks for sharing!! 😊
Glad you enjoyed it!
how many minutes you wait before your turn?
It depends how busy the park is. That day we rode, was very short wait of maybe 5 minutes! We went back and rode 2 times :)
@@TheWanderers99 thank you!
@@29corpuzalgericha68 Are you going to ride the Mummy? 😊
@@TheWanderers99 im just creating a itinerary for school purposes❤️
Whooaa that looks crazy!! 😂
Yes it is hey!
Hungrryyyy 😂
Was the guy in the Hawaiian shirt part of the show or some bystander?
Yeah they tried to hide it, but he was definitely part of the show! Tricked many audiences over the years. Did you notice? 😂
@@TheWanderers99 yeah after watching it a bit more of the vid I realized he was part of the show. Cuz no way they would do that to an audience member.
@@kpopfan9832 I thought it was a great gag though. It helped keep the audience engaged and add a bit more humour. I do miss that show!
I vividly remember the fun I had in this ride even today
It’s definitely our fav at Universal!
My 10 year old ass fr was just scared of my glasses falling
That sounds super stressful 😣
Looks fun! We're looking forward to going one day soon to and make a video about it!
Thanks for watching! We highly recommend going, it was so much fun. We cant wait to go back one day soon. :)
@@TheWanderers99 the price is quite steep, yeah? But I'm assuming you're saying it's more than worth it?
I think for the experience it is definitely worth it. The zip lines are high up and it’s several hours of fun. They sometimes have discounts so look out for that!
I stopped going to Movie World when this show ended
Yes the park sure has changed over the years.
