    Tbh I’m used to hearing printers bc my first one (I know it’s tiny but) was a WIIBUILDER, and it doesn’t have anything to silence it so I’ve fell asleep to it with not much trouble lol

    When my Bambu labs x1-c ran out its filament just purged all of it immediately, just like the one you showed, before it moved to the other roll that was the same exact brand and color. Is there a reason mine does that? Can change a setting or something?

    I'm brand new to 3D printing. The 5M is my 2nd machine since Nov 2024. Print nozzles clog after 5 prints and WILL NOT unclog. I give up.

  • @BuiltToCrawlRC
    @BuiltToCrawlRC День назад

    Did the enclosure help with prints? Got mine for Xmas and have had the hardest time getting good prints consistently. It’s mainly with setting the right nozzle temp especially with different material. Get a lot of stringy prints or build up on the nozzle. Any suggestions?

    • @3DandTeePrinting
      @3DandTeePrinting День назад

      @BuiltToCrawlRC The Enclosure is so it can now print ABS and ASA. I would recommend running a few temp towers. It does seem to run a little on the hotter side. I am running most HS-PLA at 230c on other machines but find myself at 220c with the 5M. PETG is good at 235c on the 5m for us. But you should still run a few Calibrations and you should see that all clear up.

    • @BuiltToCrawlRC
      @BuiltToCrawlRC День назад

      @ I am new to 3D printing and not sure how to run a temp tower. I have been running PETG at 272 and finally got some good prints. That is far from what you are running your PETG at which means I am most likely doing something wrong. I will say the prints come out good at that temp though so not sure.

    • @3DandTeePrinting
      @3DandTeePrinting День назад

      @BuiltToCrawlRC 272 OMG wow that's HOT. That's Engineering Grade Filament levels. Good Basic Levels PLA: 200 to 230 PETG: 235 to 245 ABS/ASA: 250 up to 280 Engineering: 280 and above.

    • @BuiltToCrawlRC
      @BuiltToCrawlRC День назад

      @@3DandTeePrinting I did about 20 tests on a small cube and kept bumping the heat up and finally the cube looked good at that temp. At 235 it’s all string. 🤷🏻‍♂️

    I got a 5M in the Black Friday sales. It had about 5 great prints... Then on the next print, the bed levelling failed and the nozzle gouged the bed and snapped off. I returned it and got a Bambu A1 instead.

      @charliej600 The Nozzle Broke? That's an amazing feat. That Nozzle is thick. Sorry to hear that happened to you. We have never experienced that issue and 1200 hours later it's still going strong.

    • @3DandTeePrinting
      @3DandTeePrinting День назад

      @jayeparker9281 Sorry to hear that. Sounds like you may have had a bad seating issue on your nozzle to the break. A simple tighting of the nozzle reassures It's flush against the break. That will prevent any oozing.

    All your children, and you know each one has their good days and bad, and some throw total fits of rage while others nearby snicker and say "Look what I can do" while they're spitting out full plates of spaghetti, meatballs included! Ahh, the smell of PLA and ABS mingling with a slight hint of something burning on a nozzle that isn't cleaned. Yep, that's the world of 3D Printing! Now I have to go because I heard a little song in the other room and a beep as well. It's like Christmas all over again. 😂

    I just got a Neptune 4 plus. Me and my dad finished the assembly recently. I know I have to do firmware and tuning and stuff next but what are some issues to avoid as you have a year of experience with this printer?

    • @3DandTeePrinting
      @3DandTeePrinting 6 дней назад

      @JackPrints1 Get that bed Level ASAP. The bigger bed is harder to level (6 knobs under the bed) perfectly. You may need quite a few attempts to get it within .05mm deference. Make sure the Gantry is completely square to the base BEFORE leveling the bed. I would also recommend getting a .6mm Nozzle to take advantage of the printers size for larger models without taking forever to print. The big thing is getting it tuned in. Once it's tuned in your should be good. I haven't had to level or adjust anything in the last 1000 hours AFTER tuning it in.

    • @JackPrints1
      @JackPrints1 5 дней назад

      @ Thanks! I’ll definitely get the bed leveled!

  • @ValleysOfNeptune2150

    Dont you need a 60w heating element for this rather than the stock 40w? Delivered to the nozzle

    • @3DandTeePrinting
      @3DandTeePrinting День назад

      @ValleysOfNeptune2150 The Ceramic Hotend itself is 60w. It's all integrated together in one piece. STOCK: Heater Block heats the nozzle. The Block is Heated through the removable/replaceable 40w Heater Element. UPGRADED: There is no real "Heater block". There is a Ceramic Casing that surrounds the Nozzle. It being 60w allows for higher temps and quicker heat up times.
