On September 11, 2016, it was my honor and privilege to sing "America the Beautiful" to commemorate the 15th anniversary of the 9/11 terror attacks. I must admit that it was one of the most emotional moments of my life, because I was singing it in the time between the collapse of the first tower and second. May we never forget!

It was an unexpected thrill to be able to give this impromptu organ performance, from memory, on the organ of the Kaiser-Wilhelm Gedächtnis-Kirche (Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church) in Berlin, Germany.

Inspired by Virgil Fox's wonderful rendition of "The Star-Spangled Banner, I decided to arrange "O Canada" in a similar way, as an homage to him. Performed on my home organ, I hope that you enjoy it! The music for "O Canada" was composed by Calixa Lavalée.

Recorded on March 4, 2012, this piece is by J.S. Bach and from his well-known masterpiece entitled "Die Kunst der Fuge" (The Art of the Fugue). This is the second fugue.

Recorded on March 4, 2012, this arrangement of the Ukrainian national anthem that I am playing was improvised from a book of national anthems. The anthem itself was composed by Mikhail Verbïtsky.

For the tenth anniversary of September 11, 2011, I had the privilege of playing this arrangement of "The Star-Spangled Banner" on the organ. The arrangement that I am playing follows the standard piano version of "The Star-Spangled Banner," on which I improvised the organ pedal part and added my own musical additions and ending.

This is one of my favourite hymn tunes, and one of my favourite arrangements of it. The arrangement that I am playing (though I also included my own additions) is by Richard Proulx (1937-2010). The tune is one that is familiar to those who know the orchestral suite "The Planets" by Gustav Holst - taken from the Jupiter movement. This contains graphic video of a hawk eating a pigeon. It took many bystanders by surprise. In Toronto, it is VERY rare to see this type of bird in a suburban area. It was very calm and didn't seem scared at all by passing cars or the many people who congregated around it to take pictures. Enjoy and forward to your friends!
