- One of my most popular videos was this improvised fanfare to introduce my own improvised organ arrangement of the Russian National Anthem.
Hi! Thanks for your question.
I play it due to its very uplifting character, a character that I think sets the tone for the assembly to leave the sanctuary at the conclusion of the Liturgy.
Regards,
Trevor
Hi Trevor ~ The church should be so lucky to have such a talented and thoughtful person such as you. I totally agree that it’s appropriate and spiritually uplifting during the recessional. Please visit Oahu, Honolulu, Hawaii!! Aloha bro 🤙🏽
This is such a wonderful arrangement! I recently started learning the pipe organ, although I already know how to play the piano; I'm definitely going to give this a try next time I get to a church to practice!
Очень хорошо! Очень понравилось! Beautiful! This is my favourite National Hymn as I was born in Russia near the end of USSR era. I can play pipe organ myself but I have not done so for a while so I may be out of shape! Canada seems to be freer int his regard as in your neighbour to the south 'Trump Estates of Amerika' (TEA) this wouldn't be tolerated!
There is so much McCarthian hysteria revived and HATRED against USSR and anything Socialist or Communist that definitely this would not be allowed in any church in States!
Thank you (BTW I never seen anyone -- I sure haven't -- play pedal barefoot!
Спасибо (Thanks)!
Now Russia is ruled by a Right-wing Russian Nationalist and Conservative United Russia Party
This is awesome.
bravo Trevor!!!
Brilliant job!
I wonder if anybody recognized that you were playing the Russian anthem...
Certainly, after the Soviets and Canadians played so much hockey from the 1960s to the 1990s
great!
Союз нерушимый республик свободных сплотила навеки великая Русь!
bravo!!!
Hi Trevor! I just loved your particular version. You’re so talented my Bro🤙🏽Actually I have a dumb question..where are you even located? I’m here in Honolulu.
I'm sorry to hear that. It's such an uplifting piece

Gorbachev entered the chat
@@Username-ed6nl Technically they switched to a different anthem for the Yeltsin years after the fall of the USSR (called Patrioticheskaya Pesnya), so it wouldn't have been very popular in 1991.
wat lol
bravo Trevor!!!
