Santa Fe Steam - Interlude at Peach Springs AZ.
Просмотров 7966 месяцев назад
Added structures for this video were scratched built by Mr. Frost. Interlude at Peach Springs (Arizona). Santa Fe water treatment plant designed to reduce severe alkalinity and its effects on steam locomotive boilers. Untreated water was treated with softener (the skinny tank). This treated water was added to the untreated water in the mixing tank (middle tank) and then pumped into the third ta...

Do you have dozens of people in a shop turning out all those weathered cars and engines? And they all roll true, nary a wobble. Impressive.
Are those reefers 40' or 50'
Fantastic track work and incredible weathering!
Magnificent to see UP's big power as it existed during the steam to diesel/turbine transition era. Thanks so much, Paul, for making the effort to share the excitement with us! 👍🐻🇺🇲
Thank you for your kind comment. It’s a lot of fun recording such fine and detailed models that my friends operate.
Fresh perishable’s from California to the east coast, oh ya👍🚂
Great trains, I missed this video last week.
Superb action, many thanks.
You’re welcome . Thank you for your comment.
Nice Train set up. The best part about the model R/R's is the cars don't get lost on a siding for 8 months, and be 4,000 miles out of route, to their destination!
Very true!
I think you had every SD40T-2 on that first train!
@@khyronthethunderhawg6577 You are correct. I just can’t get enough of those T-2’s!!
It's been a long time since I enjoyed a video like this. What great work and such exceptional details. Congratulations and greetings from Chile.
Hello fellow viewer from Chile! Thank you for your kind comments and that you enjoyed viewing the video.
The weathering on the locomotives and cars is outstanding.
Thank you for your comment. Weathering is becoming a must.
Very nice. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you.
Congratulations on your modeling skills, your work is always very well done.
Thank you for your comment. I hold the camera and enjoy my friend’s models.
Wow awesome lash ups
Thanks!
Spectacular! Loved the shots of the 3700s wheel slipping startup of the Special! So realistic, and they both did it on the same section of track! How'd you do that? A little strategic oil on the rails? However done, the effect was so cool!
Thank you. Both engines are controlled individually, so one can accelerate while the other doesn't. This causes one to slip.
Fantastic weathering on the rolling stock, and really superbly realistic loads. I can't imagine how many hours of painstaking work and limitless creativity that went into just that one train in the opening sequence, and six big units of head end power with four more pushing on the rear! Kudos for the wonderful work. I'm a three rail O scaler, but this video really illustrates the joys and satisfactions that make us model railroaders of all scales and gauges tick. Thanks so much for sharing this outstanding video of your handiwork!
Thank you for your comment. There are four gentlemen That shared their models with us yesterday. They truly have a love for model railroading. I enjoy their models very time I video them.
Damn Scaletrains hit it out of the park I’m still waiting for those As delivered BNSF Warbonnets dash 9s from Scaletrains soon
Thank you.
Thank you.
David, I love the lumber loads!
Love this Orchestra Practice ❣💯
asta q vi las vaguitas boltiadas me di cuenta Q no Era real 😅
Thank you!
What are those freight cars? Are they scratched builds or really modified kits?
Almost all are modified kits.
Ouch! :)
Love the 9000 and 4000 latch up!👏🏻👍🏻
What scale and model big boys are those? MTH?
HO scale. All upgraded MTH.
Love this parade! Really fuels up my imagination and dreams!
Thank you!
4-12-2 is that an MTH ??
Yes.
Good to see you found another layout. Iam excited that i might see you and warren running there.
Yes, hope to see you there!
And I could have been there!
You burned one absent slip!!! Better be careful, it’s a slippery slope!! You were missed!
Are the passenger/head end cars all brass a well? Very well done cars.
Thank you. All the cars are upgraded Walther's. The engine is Overland brass.
Between robbing banks to pay for it all, amazing you have time to fine tune the engines, add lights and sound and weather everything. Beyond impressive.
@@bjjt-nu9dx Thank you!
Nice videos. I really enjoy seeing big steam locos being put to work, performing as they did in real life. If I could make a suggestion to make things even better: if you can, and if only you want to, take some time to carefully adjust the alignment in some of your track and switches, shim up high spots, address low spots, especially before, after, and during the middle of turnouts. Why? The locomotives bounce around a lot because of those small imperfections and it makes them look less realistic. If you could smooth those areas out (it will never be perfect, of course) it will make your videos even better. This is just my .02. I love the videos. Keep ‘em coming. Beautiful work.
All correct. The layout was in a hobby shop and we had no control over the quality of the track work. It was torn down earlier this month when the shop was forced to move.
Absolutely beautiful layout! Love the wheel slip on the pusher engine!!!
The more I watch the video, the more enthusiastic I am about the weathering you artfully customized on your locomotives.
Thank you!
It’s O gauge or Ho ?
HO scale
@@paulschannel9184 thank you 😉
What did you use to make a J-1b?
5254 is a Westside J1. Is that the engine you are referring to?
@@warrenfrost6033 it is. I thought they only made J-1ds and J-1es. I have always wanted to have a J-1b with a coffin feedwater heater, I think Overland’s had an Elesco. So when I saw that you had a J-1b with a coffin FWH I was curious.
bro who made that 4016 sad im gonna kick his ass😡‼
Looks great my friend! How about doing one of the WP 2-6-6-2's next? Come to think of it, im thinking it might be possibly to duplicate one of these locomotives in O scale using a Heavy Mikado from Lionel or Mth!
Increíble 😮❤
Thank you!
this screams wtf is a kilometer🗣️🗣️💯💯🔥🔥🦅🦅🦅
Come see lucastrainverse!!!
I have both the Athearn Genesis Big Boy and FEF in HO scale
Where i can get this steam locomotive?
It's lionel or bachman?
All HO. Some MTH, some brass.
As always, amazingly smooth, slow running, detailed, lighted, weathered locos with perfect sound.
My challenge will be building my layout with only one arm
❤
Thank you!
What sound decoder is that?
A crappy one, andca crappy speaker. A big boy has more volume and density
Fantastic layout, great sound and excellent locomotive and model vehicles. Thanks for showing, best regards
Thank you!
Truly Awesome Video & a Great Layout, So well Detailed in Every Aspect.. Thankyou.
Thank you for your kind words!
Great vidio, like how you got the weathering down patt. Thanks for the morning coffee...
Thank you!
