    The doux flakes on my hair

    • @Cheveurier
      @Cheveurier Год назад

      Make sure that your hair is super super clean before adding the foam. I only add a leave in spray before I add on my styler and never see flaking. Shampoo at least 3 times, clarify, stay away from oils and I think you’ll see a difference.

    I like both, I gotta try the Camille rose on a twist out. I did it on a wash n go but it left my hair soft and defined ❤️

    Hi Ashley I really found your video helpful!! I’m currently out of the country and looking for ways to cut back on all the different steps and have a simple routine that maintains moisture and length retention. Thank you!!

    Hi Ashley, I enjoyed the video, although your content is probably meant primarily for natural hair and I am relaxed. I still see benefits from your information shared. I've had professionals say that you should only use oils/grease on relaxed hair because the water based products will cause the hair to revert but honestly I still use some type of water based product, then a little oil. What are your thoughts b/c relaxed hair definitely needs moisture too? Sorry so long😬

    • @Cheveurier
      @Cheveurier Год назад

      Thank you! Definitely while you’re styling, stick to oil based products bc your hair will revert when you use water. Water based products are great when you’re going from wet to dry. Once your hair is fully styled and dry, you should use oil based products like serums or shine sprays to add luster but if you find that your hair is feeling really dry, it may be time for a new shampoo session. Hope this helps!

I had no idea that we shouldnt be using oils, I have been guilty of lathering my entre head and scalp in oils just becuase I thought it would make it grow healthier. As a request could you do a video on a haircare routine for someone with dry 4c hair ? Thank you so much for making this video so informative

    Looks great! Quick Question - did you towel dry your hair before twisting? No need to add water when adding product? Can you also give some tips on your twist technique? While my twists look similar to yours once completed, taking them out the next day mine have much more frizz and less definition 😕

    • @Cheveurier
      @Cheveurier Год назад

      Yes! Always ALWAYS towel dry. I solely used the products to re saturate my hair. As far as twist technique, I section within the twists. Don’t borrow from stand top stand. That way the when you take the twist down, it’s separate, even in the twist and comes apart with ought disrupting the shape. This is the first of many videos so I’m sure a twist out video is to come 🖤

    • @avasd59
      @avasd59 Год назад

      I would actually suggest to not towel dry your hair. Water is hydration, the best form of hydration there is

    • @Cheveurier
      @Cheveurier Год назад

      While it’s true that water is the best hydration, if your hair is soaking wet and you’re applying product, because the cuticle is already full of water, product won’t be received. You should towel dry and in some cases even rough dry (with a blow dryer) to allow the saturation (water) inside of the product to do it’s job. There’s always water in water based products so towel drying shouldn’t be avoided. That hydration is replenished through product.
