hell yeah, george
THE MAN. The coolest dude behind a hollow body ever. This is almost the Weekend in L.A. team. And this song has a California P.M. vibe. What a band.
goosebumps everytime i come here...real music
Very pretty elegant. There is no need to mention musical expertise/competence. You are my beautiful one. 💥💥🙌🙌🤤🤤😋😋😛😛👄👄
Great performance by the legendary George Benson, loved it, thx.
Such a great solo by Ronnie Foster. What a band! 👌
Playing Moog
George Benson is truly one of a kind
Magnificent!
👏🏿👏🏿
thank you James. Now if you happen to have the video with George and Glen Campbell, well that would be amazing. and it's amazing what they put on TV live back in the day...
@@stuartweissman7306 I'm still looking for that video myself
It's on RUclips, just looked it up, George Benson with Glenn Campbell 1976
@@elaineisabelle427 thank you Elaine. I have found the Midnight Special show where Glen hosts and introduces George, but their iconic performance of "Affirmation" is not on that video. If you have the link to that one i'd be eternally grateful.
Grande GB❤😊
Wow!!! When giants ruled the earth! Great post, thank you 😎😎
Great stuff, nice to see Phil Upchurch in the band. Who is the drummer?
I do believe its Steve Gadd!
No! Jimmy Maddison

THE OPENING OF GB IN THE INTRO, SAID IT ALL I AM GREATEST GUITARIST!!!
the problem is it seems you are part of the anti Benson crowd who are angry about his crossing over from pure jazz to jazz rock/funk. Obviously maybe you guys have never listened to him really play those ole jazz licks off Benson Burner, White Rabbit, Good King Bad etc. He admired and near-worshipped Wes Montgomery - so is it a bad thing copying your hero's style? You are criticising GB purely for "crossing over" without really giving the genius credit for his jazz nous. I think the issue is that there is only one GB - hardly anyone can reproduce his knowledge and talent and dexterity. I don't class GB - though my jazz guitar hero - as the standout great. But one of the greatest. Joe Pass, Charles Christian, Wes Montgomery, Kenny Burrell, Barney Kessel, Jim Hall, Larry Carlton, Eric Gale, Earl Klugh etc. Right up there. I won't make comparisons. But Benson's ability can't be matched. Maybe you should listen closer - to his earlier re cordings. Not right to draw willy-nilly assumptions.
21:34 R A R E to be able to c JHS in h7s act 4 the 1st x evvuhhh ... Quit the biz in 80, went to realty rest of his life, exited 97. Has 36 albums + sessions. 1 of the B3 pioneers. Holy moly despite low res. THE STINGER w Floyd Smith, 66 pers. fav.
Спасибо тебе Джорж...ты лучший.
Beyond Words
The good taste of the audience have me amazed. A great show indeed.
Hella fast on highway.
Yeah she was I sold it 2022
Man what a groove and he makes it look so easy
Simply the greatest guitarist in the world 🙏
Lenda simplesmente! Rio de janeiro
Now this is the way we use to jam in the nightclubs back in the day. The music now is trash. Where can you go these days to hear and see black musicians getting down like this? Those who control the industry do not want this.
Great Feeling !
I dont know if thats Jorge Dalto on piano but as a guitar player/bassist this album and Jorge is what made me learn keys. "Down here on the ground" and "Affirmation" both have great solos by him.
insane!!!
Do you have the full concert?? Did he perform “Being with you”??
George ..genius.and quincey..da pervert scum
Was there ever a man with more soul than George Benson, the greatest 🎸
Nope not 1
James Harper...You are the Man! Thank you SO MUCH!
They all of them..... Genius. I love this
That synth solo was bananas…..
Simply magnificent!
Wonderful!!!! And I might be wrong, but Mr. Phil Upchurch looks like he's playing a Les Paul Signature Sunburst with humbuckers......a rare guitar indeed....
A genius playing a masterpiece.
James, I was in High school at this time, I was there! Seattle Paramount Northwest, CTI Spectacular, three years in a row. All great shows, thanks for putting this out here!
Way to get down man!!!
GB at his best!
George cutting heads again! 🎸🔥🔥🔥
Yes tell me about 😊
Such a great great tune by Benson. And to have Phil Upchurch (who wrote this) is a double treat!!!
great, thanks for sharing! 🙏👍

With Jorge Dalto
Awesome footage of pre-Warner. Brothers Benson, my inspiration for playing guitar. Oddly enough, it’s seeing Ron Carter playing a Fender Jazz bass that’s really tripping out. This is one of the times I’ve seen extended footage of him playing electric bass. And then there’s pimped-out Grover😅. As Kool Moe Dee once asked, “How cool can one black man be?”
Musica de verdad
The greatest guitar player IMHO !!
Still got this beast?
No unfortunately I sold it last year
