A lot of these machines come with wide swamp tracks. They will ruin the clutches on hard ground, maybe even sand. It took only 6-months to damage my D31-P in NE, Pa. Why ? because those wide track will not slip on hard ground so, the clutches slip. Twenty years ago the Komatsu Dealer would change the clutches if I took them out, for 14K. My machine only had 1000 hours on it when I got it and paid 17 K and another 300 dollars to move it 300 miles. I than bought new clutches for almost 3K at dealer and installed them with my wife's help. I found a local guy to replace undercarriage for 5K. Used it to build a 3-acre watershed pond. Have 3500 hours on it now. Hardest think I find is getting those darn cylinders apart. I have the worthless tool for $400.00. Don't work because of a welded fitting at end of cylinder. Can't go all the way on in center. I use a 6" pipe wrench with a twelve foot cheater bar & my son-in-law with me hanging on the end. Once you get it apart, it will come apart without a big deal the next 15 years. I replaced all but on gland. On the topic of will not turn. You need a inch-pound torque wrench to adjust the clutch break band. The procedure is in the owners manual.

The only reason gas prices are so high, is the oil companies increased their gas prices so much. The oil companies lowered their gas prices when Trump was president because Trump gave the wealthy a huge tax break, including them. Biden is actually making them pay their share of taxes, so they raised their prices so that you would blame Biden. The oil companies made a 40 billion dollar profit last year and that's why Biden is trying to make it illegal for them to price gouge. You people just keep letting these wealthy companies get away with it, by blaming politicians for prices. Please educate yourself on policies and then look up what policies Trump is responsible for.
