    BJJ guy doesn’t have a standup game or a high-level scramble game. He needs to tie things up, slow the match down and force ground entanglements. Why leave it on the feet where the wrestler has an advantage?

    wrestling reigns supreme. you couldn't do those jiu jitsu techniques in wrestling, you'd be called for stalling and lose points

    Lol my friend is a bjj pt. He’s so beat up from it. So many serious injuries. He had to quit again and again. Currently can’t do it. Bjj sucks for health in old age

      Injuries often times are inevitable in combat sports. That being said, good training partners, a healthy gym culture, and regular resistance training off the mat are going to prevent or minimize a lot of the injuries you can occur. There are freak accidents, yeah, but most of the people getting serious injuries all the time on the mat just aren’t taking care of their bodies 🤷🏽
