    While strongly applauding CoverageBook for wanting to address the issue of PR impact, this tool is absolutely not the way to do it. In fact, I’m afraid this tool will set the PR industry back even further in terms of proving the real impact of media coverage. Let me briefly explain why, before revealing that there is already a solution to this problem, which addresses the many issues raised in this conversation. The fundamental question for this type of analysis is to determine when a correlation really is down to media coverage; and the reason this is difficult - as Gary and Stella recognise - is because it requires very good data and highly sophisticated statistical analysis to get right. Without these you are going to find numerous spurious correlations, which will do a lot of damage to your credibility - and your work - as well as that of the PR industry. Let me stress that this is not a sales pitch for my company, Metricomm, which has solved the issues raised in the podcast. It is a plea to Gary and anyone watching/reading this to avoid going down the rabbit hole that this tool will lead to. This type of analysis is very effective but only when it is done properly.     Is this feature just to check if the backlink is there? But as a PR professional aren't you supposed to always include backlinks to the website of your stakeholder? How come is it?

      Hi :) Yes, our backlink feature searches all the online coverage in a report and collects the number of backlinks so you can report on those numbers - you can choose to search for up to 5 domains per book.     Can you add broadcast links from IQ media to this and for metrics, do you have the option add PR value price?

      Hi Kirsty, You can upload broadcast media directly if you have the MP4 file. We've got free trials available at www.coveragebook.com/users/sign_up. If you'd like to try us out and have any queries we'd be happy to help! We don't provide PR Value as a default metric, but you'll have the option to add it as a custom metric to offline clips.     New agency subscriber to Coverage Book here. This video does not provide an explanation of how you determine "Coverage Views" - clients are going to want to know where the number comes from... just to say "we've worked out a formula" is not a satisfactory answer.
