For beginners who have absolutely no knowledge of bowling. For my english class and not supposed to be taken seriously.

At first I felt as if you were mansplaining it to me then I felt like this was a damn good tutorial at the end. Well done.
I play with both hands, using two fingers.
As someone who only uses his two fingers, would you recommend getting used to using the thumb as well or would i be fine to just continue to use only 2 fingers?
Terrible Technique, But The Basic Foundation Is Right
Bro I was looking for a tutorial about 2 finger bowling not a video about how to bowl for the first time
2 fingers no thumb is the easiest way to hook the ball and also the most inconsistent. I say that as someone who bowled 2 finger no thumb before switching to 2 finger with thumb and then 2 handed without thumb. I got to a point where it was very hard to progress and especially playing on sport shots it is an awful way to throw the ball sometimes. But if you're out there to just have fun then this is the easiest way to hook it
Anyone know if using two fingers to bowl requires 2 bigger holes? Or is correct? For me when spinning it with the 2 fingers they get stuck sometimes and my inserts are kind of tight. Im thinking of removing the inserts and having more space for my 2 fingers to help me allow to rev/spin the ball more without pain.
What's the third hole in a bowling ball for? I've been bowling wrong this whole time.. Thanks for this tutorial!!! I'll definitely do this when bowling next time!!!
Bringing your habd ovwr the top and pushing out on your finers will give tops spin. Less effective curve. You should still be in a near habd shake position similar but slightly more on to then a traditional 3 finger bowler
I am going to try this my tumb gets so sore and I want to hook like crazy
i taught myself how to hook, and after bowling constantly for about 3 months my highest bowl is 243, it was like 120😭 but i just never could use 3 fingers
This is like the worst instruction for 2 finger bowling
The way I bowl is kind of like a reversed hold on the ball I turn the ball I put just my two fingers in, and then I try to spin it right as I throw it, and normally towards the opposite side of whatever way I’m trying to get the ball to go. If I was trying to hit the pins on the left I will throw it in as far to the right as I can, Vice versa.
I guess your way can work for me if i don't curve while I'm bowling with my fingers and my thumb then I try your way
That release just isn't right.
Nice video.
This is the video I’ve been looking for!
since we start left for more hook , what arrows we look at
What if ur left handed tho 🤣
Moving the hand around the ball from 6-12 is a less efficient manner of hooking the ball. I believe it is better to keep the hand up the back of the ball, and let the fingers in the ball just come up around it. It creates less strain, produces more revs, and, at least in my experience, is more repeatable, and makes you less likely to pull the ball. I will say though that this video is good, and it provides an easy, step-by-step explanation, in order, of what you are looking to do, and is pretty clear and straightforward, which is honestly what is more helpful to the average bowler in my opinion. Keep up the content 🎳 🎉 😃
The fuck are you using a house ball for ? Scrub
My wrist and fingers been killing ( right handed 2 finger bowler ) and tips on not killing my self ? Would lk to bowl more then twice a week abs
1.place fingers, 2.position feet on lane, 3.hold the ball, palm below ball.support with second hand, 4.footwork.1,2,swing,go,arm perpendicular to floor. 5.rock the ball, support with second hand 6.6-12
Don't spin the ball like that if don't want to hurt your wrist.
Damn I need a bowling alley.?
So I have watched so many tutorials from professional and this was the best... A simple step by step is exactly what is needed. Thanks!
At 00:58 he says to use finger tips. This is inaccurate. You can use more finger than that and many of us do. You will be able to hold the ball better and control it more since you do not have the thumb to help. Just be sure to experiment with your finger position and find what works for you. I have bowled with two fingers since I broke my thumb in the 7th grade. I use a standard finger position. I'm much more consistent using my fingers than only using finger tips.
What shoes are those?
According to the rules...if your ball has 3 holes and if you're not using the thumb upon delivery of the ball...then it's an invalid bowl...cheating.
For the past 5 years i’ve just been a hobby bowler, bowling around 2 times a year with friends. I have Always had my middle finger in the lower hole and ring and pointer finger in the other 2. Never knew that using your Thumb was a thing and i Always that you had to out your fingers all the way down or the wholes where too small
You 100% dont want to spin the ball from 6 to 12. More like from 6 to a handshake position. Also, griping the ball to your second knuckles allows more control and power
Gr8🔥🔥
Damn near yanked my thumb off bowling with my thumb, only kiddie throws for me now 😮
Who’s still here in 2022 🙋🏻♀️
very helpful
is this trolling video?
Curving a Bowling ball with 2 fingers is alot easier without thumb in my opinion
I've bowled like this for many years and a couple things to know is that each lanes is different so make sure you adjust so you know how to bowl on that lane, also cradle the ball on your forearm so not all the weight in on your wrist, it adds more revs and more power back.
That’s a bad idea, relying on your forearm is going to make the ball slip out a lot more.
this is the funniest video ever. dont throw the ball in the air youll hurt your feet lol
just read the description lol. Im sure you did well on the assignment! nice job
God bless everyone and have a good day,..
This is how I've been bowling for years. People have told me this is the wrong way and it bothers me, what do you think about people saying that this is the wrong way to bowl.
If it works for you, go for it!
I need help putting power into it. Im doing everything right but no power
Use a heavier ball. Using this technique can be hard to control with high ball speeds. I also get way more revs anyway in the 11-14 mph range and still hit with power
I'm not putting my thumb in that contraption esp if I'm drinking
I started bowling like this 12 games ago (3 sessions of 4 games) and I'm already hitting my average again, more control than 1 handed and also have more hook, never could figure out 1 handed with no thumb so for the past year or 2 I've kind of hit a wall at the 140 average mark, didn't take long to adjust and last game today I figured out where I need to throw for a consistent strike, (actually the same line shown at 0:30, just I'm left handed so it's mirrored) all I need to do is work on my consistency so I can hit that perfect strike line and work on relearning spares now that I have more RPM
Possibly the best explained and easy way to hook a bowling ball. Thank you.
Lol no
It's kind of a bad example. It will get the ball moving, but pretty poor technique
I’ve been bowling two finger since the first time as a kid bowling competitively (meaning just understanding the scoring, not actual competition) and I’ve had a wicked hook ever since. 180-200 avg. as of 2021 with a lot of practice and fine tuning. Put it this way, I’ve just recently this week taught myself a new technique for hitting that 10 pin! Finally! Dammit…. Lol
How do you hit the 10 pin I need help I bowl 2 fingers
@@calvinnewsome7439 throw straighter, get your hand more behind the ball. If not, move as far left (or right if you lefty) as you can go and throw harder
@@pk_lo4638 I’m trying to practice throwing straighter shots myself.
@@calvinnewsome7439 I actually don’t pick it up with the conventional straight ball, I stand a bit left (I’m a righty) and my ball trajectory has sort of an outside hook toward the 10 pin. I try to throw anywhere between the second and third arrow from the left at about half power. I’m trying to teach myself a straight ball but I just have to practice it more. The outside hook gets my wrist a bit weary after a few games
@@pk_lo4638 Learned this earlier this week while with my girlfriend haha. Took me about 3 years of hooking a ball to figure it out, but got it now
Im only 15 and last week i was bowling with my parents and was curious on how to do a curve ball. Was only able to practice it for about an hour but my final shot i got a really good one in. So im learning. Thanks for the vid, i will be practicing
Keep at it kid!
Have you tried back up?
@@thefalco1981 tis confusion?
Stay hungry stay committed. You’ll get there.
Missed a step...you keep your left hand on the ball to keep it steady and in place till the point of release otherwise the chances of you either dropping the ball or just throwing it into the gutter and very likely (I'm a two handed bowler)
Rotating your hand from 6 to 12 o’clock is not how you hook a ball when throwing 2 handed. 1 you’re using a house ball to “demonstrate” this. But when trying to hook a ball this way you are bound to destroy your wrist like I did because I wasn’t told any other way. This tutorial was vague at best and what’s his education in the bowling scene? Go watch a pro talk about 2 handed bowling this guy is an armature at best….
I'm still trying to figure out how the curve works lol I'm having trouble figuring it out
