I left an interior light on in my truck and my battery completely died. I plugged this thing in and it did charge my battery from red to Green within an hour and a half. I was able to start my vehicle right up but then it would not start again when I shut it off. My alternator is fine I have tried you've been taking it on a 30-minute 70 mile an hour highway trip set my alternator could finish charging my battery hopefully a little more so I can start it again before going on my road trip. It will jot charge my battery.. do you know what I'm doing wrong?

The differences cited in the video are likely due to differences between the brands and/or chemistries of the actual batteries compared (which the video does not disclose), and not anything inherent to the 94R or H7 designation. The 94R and H7 batteries are the *same* size and configuration. My guess is that the 94R is specified for more vehicles primarily because GM and affiliate companies specified it for use in several "global" vehicle platforms that are widely sold and it's cross-referenced in vehicle specifications. . So -- when you are shopping for batteries, look at the specifications of the batteries. You will find that a number of 94R batteries weigh 51 to 52 pounds. You will find that H7 and 94R batteries vary somewhat in capacity. All this video really needed to say is that 94R is the BCI specification for the battery that is DIN spec H7 and EN spec LN4, and the battery capacity is disclosed in each battery's specifications. BCI specs are here: batterycouncil.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/BCI-Group-Sizes.pdf Looking on page 11 of the specs you will find the BCI-DIN-EN cross reference chart, which shows that the 94R is functionally same size and orientation as the H7 and LN4. There is no JIS equivalent to the 94R that I am aware of.

I believe that most batteries in the USA are made by Johnson Controls. I will soon need a battery. My research has convinced me to buy the least expensive one (that is designed for my car) from Walmart. Supposedly, the more expensive batteries will likely not last any longer than the lower cost batteries. It seems to be a crap shoot, where any of their batteries, regardless of price, might last 18 months, or 60 months, or anything else. The more expensive batteries simply have a longer warranty period. So two of the least expensive batteries will give you approximately the same combined warranty period of a more expensive battery, at less than ½ the price. And the least expensive battery might last as long as the more expensive battery. Also, when you bring in a car battery to Walmart for a warranty replacement, they will first hook up your battery to a charger, and to fully charge it, to see if it will hold a charge. That can take hours. So that more expensive battery with the longer warranty will mean you having to deal with the above wait time to get a replacement. Whereas, if you purchased the inexpensive battery, and it was out of warranty, you just purchase it, again. No waiting. And you still paid approximately the same as the higher cost battery. You are in-and-out of Walmart with your new battery, whereas the person with the longer warranty is waiting around for hours, and hoping that their warranty gets honored. So use Walmart's on-line battery tool, to match which batteries will fit your car, and purchase the least expensive one. They all have similar cold cranking amps. Lastly, check the manufacturing date on the batteries. Do not purchase anything over 3 months old (or you pick how old is satisfactory with you). No matter how perfectly you care for your car's battery, it has a limited lifespan. That lifespan starts the day it was manufactured. So if it was sitting on the shelf for months, then you will lose out on those months. If it sat on the shelf for 6 months, then it will need to be replaced 6 months sooner. Walmart likely has a fast turnover, and so your new battery will probably be no more than a few weeks old. But check its manufacturing date.
