Wrong. It primarily for self improvement physically, mentally and spiritually. Secondly, it’s to build connections, community and friendships with likeminded people who have interest in human movements. Tertiary, if you ever needed the awareness and skills to protect yourself and/or loved ones from those who actually do what your comment suggests you think is the reason we good people practice this for. Every human has the right to keep themselves and loved ones one’s protected and safe. You have a very narrow mind according to your comment.

Not your forties! Dude I wish I was still in my forties. The one thing I've learned in this journey is that you can't ever stop. You're never out of the fight. If you come up against something you can't do, then find something you can do. It's OK to slow down, but don't ever stop. You can never be too old to be the best that you can be. You are doing amazing for being in your forties. So many see that age as a milestone that changes their life... And this is what martial arts can do for you... keep you as young as possible. You're doing a great job of passing on that message. Thanks for all you do. Your vids are great. ...And you could easily pass for 10 years younger, just sayin.

Awesome! I’m currently intermittent fasting myself. I mostly use 2lbs clubs and I’ve been swinging my steel mace from time to time.

Started doing this regularly after yoga or HIIT and especially the roundhouse kicks reaches area even advanced yoga misses. At 78 yrs I appreciate the fun of this workout.

i had 2 rubber thingies from crutches. the part that hit the ground. they fit very well on kali sticks, and have plenty of momentum to get the swings going. gonna upgrade later
