Yeh it’s stressful to learn but the more you play, the more you’ll learn to manage and trust your stagger. For the most part, you should hit medium stagger before purifying and trust your 4 set to do some healing with breath of fire or your exploding keg. You should aim to have a purify in the pocket at all times and one on cd. You will find that your gameplay loop or purifying to 6-9 stacks then celestial a bit more apparent when you hit +20 level dude. Lower keys it’s actually weird for brew when you’re fully geared. You just don’t take enough damage to build meaty celestials. All I can say is aim to purify in medium or heavy stagger always. Never use a celestial below 6 stacks. Always aim to do so. If you’re feeling squishy it’s because you’re not rolling a defensive into the pull. Dampen, fort, on-use trinket on every pull at start- this will smooth your celestial building much more. At a simple level, if you’re running 2 hander, run weapons of order. If dual wielding, run press. The reason is you stack press quicker dual wielding by a factor of 2 times. If you find yourself struggling on certain pulls, run WOO as it’ll give you added mastery for the duration of certain pulls. The WOO rotation is annoying personally, as it’s precise to gain the benefit. As a personal preference, I run press simply because I prefer having less buttons to juggle.

Just go toxic and stack mastery above 30%. Hit your vers cap first though. The reason mastery is important is it interacts with elusive brawler and it scales your attack power which gives your more damage AND healing.

Also my personal preference is crit > mastery = vers. Then stack mastery

Charred passions is better before you get the tier set. Once you get the new tier set, you'll do more sustained damage and healing with dragonfire brew and blackout combo. This is because your breath of fire damage is empowered, and scales with your stagger. Meaning the more damage you're taking, the more damage you're dealing and therefore the more you're healing when you need it. On top of this, you also get an additional 5% DR from all mobs with an empowered BoF. Meaning your base DR is 10% rather than 5%. Your rotation should be keg + BoK + BoF in almost all situations now. However, you can also blackout kick before keg to take advantage of increased CDR on your brews in critical times. I.e. if you're trying to build celestials quickly - Oakheart, 3rd boss throne of tides comes to mind.

Hey mate, thanks for the feedback and question. What ilvl are you relative to the dps? If you're low, you'll struggle no matter the tank. 1) Pre-rushing jade wind 2) Keg smash + breath the middle target 3) A single spinning crane kick with RJW up should give you enough before throwing another keg smash 4) if there's a group (throne of tides comes to mind before first boss) where there's caster adds either side, I ROP one side, keg smash the pack and then kick the left add into a blackout kick + breath.

@@johnmassey2632 yeh mate, exactly that. If you move, especially towards the statue, you too far out of range, then it doesn't work. Tank needs to plant their feet. And the confessor and the augers need to be kicked.

Nah i'm just not taking much damage at the start of this key - tier set, on use trinket, leech and gaipins doing all the work man. Most of the damage on these early pulls is spread to the group, even in fort bolstering. I will build a celestial gradually and use it if i need. Didn't need til 4 mins. More generally celestial forms part of your primary mitigation and gameplay loop. It's not a conscious thing - if im taking damage, I'm using it. Thanks for the feedback :)
