Good to see Lockerman Dojo. Mr Crawford, Carpenter, rogi, Dearing, must be early 90's. I started in end of 91 there... great to see Sensei Rigby.
If Wallo brought you here, You going somewhere in Life🙏🏼
NICE!
Me and my brother are the original creators of White Crane flowing Arts Kung Fu thirty years ago these dudes. Are terrible
KILLED THAT‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️❤️❤️❤️❤️
My Sensei killed that‼️‼️‼️
In 1970 my brother & I attended a Gerald Orange karate tournament.at that time I was a green belt my brother was a brown belt, we hailed from the Nisei Goju system down in the east village. Now this particular tournament was strictly for boy's and girls up to 15 yrs. They were giving away trophies & prizes including bicycles that appealed to us being 13 & 14 but at this particular time I had sprained my ankle in the dojo & was hoppin around with a cane. Anyway my bro gi,d up and made it to the final's. O.K. first fight was with Manlike Brown. one of Freda Hamilton's prized Brown Brother's the other two were kevin & Dennis who fought pee wee div were pretty good took a couple titles in that div until Little K.A.did a blitzkrieg # and spoiled their chances for anymore titles in that div. anyway I believe Fred Hamilton got very excited when he saw manlike was up against my bro who had a bit of a rep was no slouch and had a couple of championship's under his belt. Now just before they were to get it on Fred Hamilton grabbed me under my armpit and started screaming that my bro and I were cheating & that I fought in the eliminations and now he is taking my place for the final's you know there were a couple of ex opponents left in the audience and judge's that knew but were terrified of Mr Hamilton's hollerin! Beligerence! But you know how this was gonna go! Hamilton practically owned that place in the middle of harlem 2 irish red haired brothers so every time my bro scored on manlike! NO'SEE"! NO'SEE"! Well if our sensei' would have been on hand that day I'm sure thing's would have went differently
POWERFUL!! OSU!
This man built community, pride ,respect and love. Those were the good old days. Bless those who carry on in the same spirit.
It looks like the weave from kenpo
This is above the army navy story in Dover that’s where I started in fact I probably Training at the point
Powerful Message Indeed where can I find the rest of this?
Wow I hadn’t remembered Mr. Deering until seeing him in the video. 😅 Im a junior black belt at Rigby’s Karate Academy.
THIS GUY HAD A DOJO. IN HARLEM BACK IN THE EARLY 70 BEFORE. HE THOUGHT ABOUT MOVING TO QUEENS DIDNT KNOW HE DIED GOD BLESS
aw man, this one brings back memories. I was one of the students in this class. I must have been about 10 years old. I remember the twins who were both black belts ( one of their names was Kerry I think) and then there was Bogart who was a brown belt at the time, and then there was this no joke female student by the name of Natalie who was going there at the time. I think she was a brown bet too but I'm not sure. good ole days fro sure.
I think your talking about Angie She was a Brown Belt and the Twins were Kevin and Kerry
@@kinspinphotographyrobertha2563 YES! Kevin and Kerry . Thank you for that. I wonder how they are all doing. And I believe there was a light skinned dude nick named Bogart. I believe he was only a brown belt at the time Though. I remember when some one was caught breaking into Master Hamilton car out in the parking lot. The whole dojo went down there to deal with him.
All dojo mates of mine.....

@@kokujinronin3117 That's amazing. Do you know what ever happened to those folks? any photos or videos of them training or sparing?
Master Hamilton was an awesome teacher. His students were well respected for the discipline he instilled within them. I remember performing kata & fighting in his tournaments, he had a set of twin brothers who was dynamite. Osu!!
As Salaamu Alaikum youngster 👍.
Looking smooth brother. IRON DRAGON told me to check your channel out. Salaams to you and Hamza.
Strong and Beautiful...
Goose bumps
My brother used to attend his classes when Master Hamilton was on jamaica ave in Queens, NY. My brother trained with some incredible people. My brother was incredible to watch at tounaments back in the 80's. I watch a lot of those classes. Those kids were trained under the best Shotokan instructor ever!!
Hi Carol, I was one of those kids in Master Hamilton's dojo at the time and I was wondering who your brother was. peace
Who is your brother ??
Osu
I TOO WAS A STUDENT IN THE QUEENS DOJO(163rd St) WE CALLED HIM “BABA”
I've been looking for something on this man for yrs. My uncle used to teach with him.
Hey Kaseem, I'd love to hear more about you uncle's experience teaching with him. Reach out to me at swhittle@bricartsmedia.org ! We're working on a documentary.
@@sashawhittle9796 Hey there, I was one of those kids in the audience. I would have been about 10 years old at the time. I would love to see a documentary about Master Hamilton and the dojo
Would like to know who the uncle is, i may know him. I am a student of Baba Hamilton.

Sudah. Gayong hitam putih
Good job
Man have i heard some stories about this dojo. I almost didn't recognize Mr. Rogge. Joining Rigby's has been the best decision of my life, and you can quote me on that. Sho-Dan Jackson Parker
good shit!!!
I've noticed how nobody else pays that much attention to the bunkai. He's a great teacher.
I remember that dojo too on Lockerman St. above the army/navy store. I think I hear my voice in the back of the class. Yes, I remember Mr. Carpenter very well. I think he was police officer or something. Mr. Bill did have very fast hands. His son which I think joined the Marines was very strong. It must have been the gene pool. Speaking of Gene he made blackbelt too back in the 80's. I made it as far as brown belt 2 or 3rd degree. I do kungfu now. Yes, I loved those days..
Very nice. Its too bad the tape ran out, i would have like to see the rest of sunsu. Thanks for posting
