    My primary issue is this: I can play a piece or section of a piece a little below tempo with no mistakes but cannot maintain accuracy at full tempo. Will your program show me how to accurately reach tempo? Example: I am working on the Rach 3 first mvt. Sections at actual tempo leave me frustrated as my fingers stumble a lot. Thank you.

    No matter if you play piano or violin, viola, cello. I think it's the same. I will never forget a masterclass with Stephane Gheorghiu a famous roumanian violinteacher who said to me: les gammes c'est la base de la technique, that means the scales are the base of the technique. And still now in my progessed age even when I only practise for an hour or two it's scales. Heifetz the god of the violin first thing he demanded from his students was scales in all keys four octaves. And he himself when he had a concert and not much time before the performance practised scales. I practise them every day normally one key per day four octaves and not only major and minor key. Augmented scale, harmonic minor, chromatic, gipsy scale in major and minor key, octatone and all seven modes and altered modes and of course arpeggios. And I regret that I didn't do this enough in my youth, I think I would have been much more successfull if I would have done it earlier. That's why I write all this here. To inspire young musicians and students that they won't regret not to have practiced enough scales when they were young as I do. And of course you can add still pentatonic and bebop and bluesscale, which is tricky. (I'm a little bit too lazy for that🤔) And always with metronome two notes per beat, triplets and finally four notes per beat with various bowings and fingerings (That's of course specific stringinstrument)That takes a time but it keeps you in shape and the brain flexible. I only can recommend to any student no matter which level: practice scales is like brushing teeth. Thank you for this video.

    i'm a little confused with the last part. you say 15 slower repetitions and one concert tempo attempt, being 16 total reptitions, but then you explain the 15 reptitions as being slow, medium, and fast, and then again 5 times slow. so am i doing 21 repetitions, or did you mean to say 5 times for slow and medium, 1 time fast (the concert attempt), and then 5 times slow again?

    • @alexandra.tsirkel
      @alexandra.tsirkel Месяц назад

      Try this formula 5 times slow, 5 times medium, 1 time in concert tempo, then 5 times slow again.

    What about the pianists who improvise where one plays spontameouly and rarely do they think about fingering patterns. The ear plays a predominant role on that process. To repeat what is in score numerous times is not enough as the ear must be engaged and the very intention of endeavoring to memorize. Yes analysis and theory help. We have all kinds of techniques including memorization away from the keyboard. 🎉❤😂

  • @petertarsio7168
    @petertarsio7168 4 месяца назад

    Note the key of E minor and sing the line with letters, numbers, solfegge and walk away from the piano and sing the melody without playing on the keyboard. Then return to keyboard play and sing simultaneously. Hum the melody and note the harmonic changes in LH. Improvise in the key of E minor. Know what are the basic harmonic changes and improvise over those harmonies using same harmonic rhythm and bass line.

    • @alexandra.tsirkel
      @alexandra.tsirkel 4 месяца назад

      Focus on concentrating your fingertip; imagine that you are not randomly pressing the key, but rather "hitting" the heart of the kye, as if there's a target. Make sure your hand position is round, fingertip always focused.
