A Video about Highvoltage Transformers and Voltage Multipliers. Also a correction. The breakdownvoltage of air is 3kV/mm Notes on the Voltage Multiplier: -The capacitors need to be rated for at least twice the inputvoltage. -The Diodes also should be rated for the same Voltage. - I used two 82pF capacitors on each step. f yeah! air gear anime life! woohooo!!! maybe energy recovery braking next for longer distance travel? or building batteries into the boot itself & using oil bearing to help with friction if possible? I've genuinely always wanted to make these thanks to that manga & a couple of old movies I watched as a kid! I finally got a 3d printer, the qidi x-max 3 & have been unable to get anywhere with it yet thanks to several issues & it being my first one ever. which doesn't help, as much as there is user error there is some slightly bad design with being able to properly set it up with updates, the distance probe, etc etc. Doesn't matter, I'd go with it was both lol! Hope to see you progress & grow! cool video dude, keep it up :)

    Tips for stability: - Having your feet next to each other gives you less stability. You want a diagonal offset to increase front/back stability while maintaining side to side stability, otherwise when you accelerate you'll find at times your feet will flip out from under you. - Humans are inherently top heavy. Crouching will make you feel more stable. - A wider stance will increase your stability as well. Whatever feels comfortable, as long as your feet aren't close together.

    if you feel 40kph is sufficient maybe just put 1 motor in the front of the skate and take half the weight off it by having a normal back wheel, then you can go 1-foot-in-front and the rear foot is the drive wheel. idk tho, just spitballin, great video, i always wanted powered wheelys

    Be careful with the SSR as they usually fail closed. With the mechanical relay, does it have a flyback diode? Perhaps you could use multiple parallel relays in series for slower switching, and redundancy?

    • @bootlegengineer
      @bootlegengineer 9 дней назад

      Yeah the SSR relay was a bad idea to start with. But yes the other relay has a flyback diode on it. Even tho Im using a small relay to switch the big one so the voltage spikes shouldn't harm anything regardless.

      @suodrazah6015 9 дней назад

      @@bootlegengineer diode still saves on damaging the load relay contacts from excessive arcing if opened under load, but would probably last basically forever regardless. Awesome build!

      Most products like this need to have a 25km/h speed governor in the EU, or the cops will fine you. For example the onewheels can be unlocked to go 60km/h, but the cops will stop you long before that

    Ive been thinking on making a doomsday cache. First, a raspberry pi zero, on a e-paper display, i think i can get less than 10 volts to power it. Likely wrap the thermoelectric capacitor wire in a fire resistant tube. Second, load up a 1tb micro sd card with survival information, how to build a combustion engine, an entire copy of Wikipedia, etc, and some music. Third, wrap everything up in a faraday cage, air seal it. and put it into a fire resistant and water proof cage. Then bury it 6'-10' underground. Far enough down where the earth would keep it warm, and that it wouldnt freeze. Ideally aiming for 35°f-40°f. The tricky part is to do it without any batteries. As a bartering tool, it would be absolute gold, and if im not around to dig it up, hopefully someone else finds it in the far future. And this is the final piece of the puzzle ive been looking for, thank you.

    I reached -40°C with 2 tec2 25408 in parallel under 12V and sitting on a water-cooled heat exchanger going toward an ice bath. I get -37°C over a 10cm * 10cm*1mm aluminium sheet for a cloud chamber. I made computations at the time, beware, stacking them in serie require to stack the heat transfer of their joule heat.

    tbh you'd probably also need to cool water first, and use a copper heatsink also you can buy premade 4-stage peltiers, that are already attached. You could try connecting the 4-stage to this one also, at this stage the thermal paste may also be a limiting factor Though -30 is already very good The best I did was some -10C with a heatsink submerged directly in an ice bath

    The capacitor size is why your output is low. 50Hz would require over >1uF of capacitance per cap for a reasonable current output. Caps that size would look more like soda cans.
