The hi hat might be good as an alternate hi hat if you’re a metal drummer or something, but other than that, just save up for something a little little better.

I have an export kit that looks exactly the same. However the white has gone darker and looks like an antique off white colour . I would have liked to have seen the snare drum. Good work.

Are you sure this isn't an MLX series? The lugs match the MLX series. MX had different lugs, I believe.

Good beginner cymbal set for 139

Lots of haters, but I could figure out something to do with them. And no I don't mean something like throw them out the window. They aren't as bad as people are claiming. They'd be fine for a practice set or kid's lesson set where you are focusing on timing and hitting the notes. I don't think the hats sound too bad. I might make some experimental effects sounds with them. Maybe put electronic triggers on them and mix the two sounds. Etc. Heck, even just as theft decoys. But yes, most people should save up for better cymbals.

no, No, NO!!! These sound awful. Reminds me of the cheep beginner cymbals I got back in the 80s when I was starting out. I understand money is ALWAYS a concern when you're a young kid just getting into playing, I know it was for me. BUT, go with something like Meinl MCS at least, or a equivalent. They sound much better and are still entry level cymbals. These are horrible trash can lids. I've been playing for decades and I can tell you that crap sounding gear will not make you want to play more, but the opposite, it will make you play less! When what you play sounds bad, you'll have a tendency to put the sticks down and walk away, not even realizing it's not you that sounds bad, it's your gear. I'm sure you can find the good sounding Wuhan cymbals used for just as much as these new. I say go with used good sounding, and good quality gear over stuff like this. These are a waist of your money.

The hi-hats sound like splashes, the crash sounds like my Meinl HCS top hihat, and the ride sounds mircotonal.

No! They sound like the cheapest brass cymbals from a budget discounter drum. The B20 sound good, but this is garbage.
